We love this company. This was our second repair job with them. The technician showed up knowing exactly what to do with the necessary parts on hand, based only on my very vague description of the problem. Repair was completed in 15 minutes. The quality of his work was excellent. The price was very fair. Highly recommended.

Excellent! I called and left a message yesterday (on Sunday) when the spring went on our garage door. Bill called fist thing this morning and came out after right after lunch. He replaced the spring and had it fixed immediately. We have used J&S in the past and will continue to use them. Excellent service from start to finish!

We had a terrific experience. These folks are old school, in a very good way. They responded quickly, diagnosed the problem in minutes. He gave me a verbal estimate. We shook hands. He showed up early the next day and fixed the door. The final price was less than the quote. I gave him several opportunities to sell me other services but he did not take the bate. He even spent a few minutes with me to show me how to properly lubricate the door, and gave me pointers on prolonging the life of the door opener. I wish all vendor interactions were this good...

Everything was wonderful from the initial call for help, to the quick courteous response, to the professional assessment of the problem, to the surprisingly low price estimate, to the installation and clean up. Great service + great product + great price = Great value.

All went very well. Punctual, very friendly, and he fixed our problem, for what we thought, was a very reasonable price!

I was really happy that Bill quickly checked all the probably causes, and then ultimately made some minor adjustments to get the door working again. He DIDN'T try to sell me a new opener or some elaborate set of work, even after it was pretty evident I have no clue about garage doors. I was happy to get quick service that took care of the problem without a lot of extra selling.

My garage door was making loud noises when being opened or closed. On 2 occasions it opened part way and stopped. Last night it opened on its own. I called Jand S at 8:30 AM and they had someone out before 9:30 They subcontracted the job to Anthony Sclimenti who looked at the door and my remote. He lubricated the door, adjusted the level (it was not hitting the floor on one side), found loose bolts and tightened them, swapped parts between my two remotes to come up with one reliable remote and showed me why my one old remote may not be working properly. He spent close to an hour working on the opener and door. The door and opener are both 20 years old. Anthony explained to me what he found and what he did. I asked questions about replacing the opener and/or door in future. He said they use brands which I saw have good reviews on-line. When I replace my door or opener I will go back to them.

They were very responsive because I had a garage door that was speck open and they showed up by Monday and the door was replaced by Wednesday.

They showed up when they said and they did all the work and everything works fine.

One spring of my double garage door broke on Friday night, my both cars were inside. It was a very bad storm day, I called the business phone and left message. I received call back fairly quick and Bill came on Saturday morning, it was so bad snowing outside and awfully cold. Bill is very professional, he replaced the spring, lubricate the system, showed me a few things about garage door. He charged so fair, i am surprised i only pay this much for an emergency service in such bad weather. i will definitely use Bill for my garage door service and recommend to all my friends and neighbors.

Spring broke on garage door late Saturday night after door was down. A couple of dents/scratches on the SUV but could have been much worse with the tension and size of the spring. I called a company I formerly used and he could not get out for 3 days. I found J and S on Angies List. I called at Noon and the job was done by 4:00 same day! The guys were professional, pleasant and cost was less than expected. They educated me about the mechanics as a bonus. You can't go wrong with J and S. They are my new go-to company for garage door needs.

Everything went very well and their service were very good. It was a pretty simple job but they took care of it and they cleaned up the mess afterwards. They were very professional and the price was reasonable. I would highly recommend them.

The gentleman who did the estimate for the garage door opener found that the door was in good order but needed oiling. He went away to purchase appropriate lubricant, returned, and lubricated the hinges and the spring. He did all this free of charge.

Jand S was one of three Angies List providers I contacted for estimates on a three garage door full replacement job. Jand S was the most punctual in responding and also provided the best priced rundown of options. I opted for a higher quality set of insulated doors with windows, with three new belt driven openers. Installation followed a week later, a one day job, and our feeling was that the installer went to great lengths to make sure the job was done correctly before leaving. One of the garage door "buttons" was partially defective in that its LED didn't light up correctly, and the installer was back a few days later to replace it with a working model. The doors have been in place for a month and work perfectly. We feel we got an excellent value for the price of the work performed.

Installer arrived on time - was professional - was careful to re-do all connections to joists and beams - had to correct for lack of squareness - completed promptly - door looks great - low bidder by 20%.

We would recommend this company to everyone. The installer (Anthony) was polite and courteous as well as punctual and efficient when he came to remove old doors and install new doors. Great experince.

They are come out quickly. They come when they say they would come. The price is reasonable. I would use them in the future.

Our garage door spring broke and J & S came out the same day and replaced the spring also lubricated the tracks, rollers and hinges and made sure everything was in working order. They did an outstanding job at a very reasonable price. If you want to have quality work at a good price give these guys a call.

They came the next day, at the time expected. They were friendly and thorough. The spring had to be replaced and now the door is functional.

Our garage door refused to open and close, even with a new remote control. My husband was clear when making appointments with service companies that he didn't want to install new garage doors. Every service company that came to give us an estimate for repairs, was interested only in installing new doors. The best price we could get from any of them was over $600. Our garage doors are 40 years old, at least, and heavy. Bill Ward of J&S Door Co. was the only repairman we called who was actually interested in repairing the door. He loved the quality of the door and the construction of the lift system. He said it should never be replaced and could last another 40+ years. He is highly recommended by us.
