ZERO STARS STAY AWAY!!!! Terrible company from the get go. Poor install led to needing to replace a unit that was less than 7 years old. Started using another company and was told to contact Edington to see if there was a warranty. Apparently owner of Edington thought it would be more important to call and hassle the other HVAC company I was using to dispute the facts instead of actually calling me back about the issue (still haven’t heard back). Have since had 2 different companies come out and they all say the same thing, poor install job led to the unit rusting beyond repair. Owner of Edington came crawling back after complaints posted and even said he had never seen rust before. Claimed because it passed inspection they weren’t to blame that the drain wasn’t fully draining. The slope of my house didn’t change, their fault from the beginning but the refuse to fix issue and instead want to nickel and dime me to repair it.

I have had nothing but issues with the new unit that was installed 5 months ago. Once again had to call them out for the 4 or 5th time. This time when i was changing the filter the old one had a massive hole in it..then i noticed so much of the cold air was leaking out of the pipes and around the air handler. So they have to redo that...well they were supposed to come out this morning and i over slept..my fault but i missed them by 5mins...so we call the office and the lady said she would just have them turn around bc they just left... Well its now 1:20 and that was at 8:45...so we called back and the lady was so rude an laughing at the situation.. It was s unprofessional and down right disrespectful. I wish i never would have went with this company. With the leak i have I've paid hundreds of dollars to my utility company with pretty much cooling down an attic. I don't understand how a leak that bad wasn't caught with how many times they have been out. They left all the old piping in the attic on top of that. It seriously looks like a half *** job

I called Edington on 1/19/16 based on a recommendation from my brother to come in and take a look at my furnace. The furnace was not running, and is quite old. I suspected that I needed a new furnace, but wanted a professional to come out to confirm death of existing / quote me a new one. During the call, I informed the service dispatcher on the phone that I had several electric space heaters that made this a non-emergency call (being the middle of Jan, I felt it to be prudent information), and that I wanted to make an appointment to have someone come out. After discussing options we settled on a 3:30pm appointment that would occur the following day. In the discussion with the Edington rep, I informed him that I would be taking off work early to ensure that someone would be there, and asked him to have the tech call me at my cell phone number when he was close to arriving, which I provided, along with my office phone number that I asked to be used if anyone needed to speak with me before the afternoon of the appointment. The next day comes, I take off work halfway through the day and get home by 3:15, and wait until 3:45 until I called Edington. I did not get anyone to answer the phone, and left a polite message basically saying, my name, phone number, address, etc, that I had a 3:30 appointment, and that I just wanted to call and see when they thought the tech might be by my home. I get that there are windows of time at play most of the time with service tech calls, so I patiently waited for about 20 minutes, and called back, being sent to the answering machine again, but not leaving a message. I then called back about every 10 minutes, knowing that the office closed at 5pm, never receiving an answer from anyone, or a returned phone call from my earlier message. I double checked that I had been calling the correct phone number several times, even though the answering machine message I kept getting clearly identified it as the correct place to be calling, and the number was correct. I again called just after 5pm to the office, and was automatically forwarded on to what I perceived as a manager's cell phone, which I based upon the voice mail message, which did identify him as being with Edington. I left a message on this voice mail service again explaining the situation, and asking for a call back. To date, no one from Edington has returned my phone calls, or my messages regarding their missing of my appointment. So, while I have no applicable thoughts on their pricing, or quality of service, their professionalism, punctuality, and responsiveness is sub par. I can understand mis-noting a phone number, or possibly some other outlying event that made it impossible to make my appointment. However, not returning two different voice mails, left on two different voicemail services, not answering the office phone for an hour and half, and just not bothering to call to apologize for wasting my time is extraordinarily unprofessional.

When I called Edington I was told by another company that my furnace was dangerous and ready to catch on fire. Eric came out and let me know that my furnace was not a danger, and gave a price on the identical furnace model the other company had quoted for $3000 less. They've serviced my existing furnace every year and it has been fine, they were very nice. They are very prompt, there have been no problems at all.
Description of Work: They've done service on my furnace and A/C every year for the last 3 years.

Everything was great. I went with a more expensive unit because it was quieter. It is very quiet, and saved me over $140.00 the first month of my electric bill. The work was excellent and the house looks great with the new air conditioning unit sitting outside. Furnace room looks great, too. Its so nice to take a shower and not get burned when someone uses another faucet.
Description of Work: Installed a Dave Lennox Signature Collection XC21 air conditioner and a SLP98DFV Gas furnace. Also installed a tankless water heater.

The inside blower failed suddenly in a puff of smoke. It was a cold Saturday in February. Initial replacement of the blower motor revealed the problem was in the control relay system. Given the age of the unit (est. 30 years), parts availability, and improved technology we decided to upgrade/replace the entire heat pump system to include: outdoor and indoor unit. A Lenox heat pump was selected. I got them to 'throw in' a high-efficiency house air filter unit as part of the deal. Eric Edington worked with us during the cold on the weekend to get parts spec'd and ordered. Edington brought in several space heaters to help - although it got cold! Prep work began Monday afternoon. The new system (and crew) arrived Tuesday. The location of our hot water heater caused complications during the install, which they tackled. Edington ended up removing the heater (and later replacing it). The system was up and running Wednesday and work completed Thursday.
Description of Work: Emergency replacement of heat pump that failed in the dead of winter! Replacement included outdoor unit and indoor unit (blower, condenser, thermostat, etc.)
