They did not put in an access door to make the changes if plumbing needed changing so an access door needed to be cut into the wall making it necessary to rebuild and repaint. when they put in the sink fixture they chipped the marble sink. This sink was specially built for the bathroom and the sides are connected to the cabinets. We were told that removal would damage the cabinets. We held up payment of the final 1000 Until his insurance paid for the damage. Insurance was on the verge of compensating for some of the loss and he filed a law suit before his insurance could pay. We are filing a counterclaim for damages, which far exceeds the 1000. He agreed to do the work for 1900 but then kept upping the fee. With the final fee being almost 700 more than the original quote.
