Sharper Edge

It did not go!! Signed agreement on 8/3, we were to get drawings on 8/14. Submitted a down payment on 8/3. Did not receive drawings on 8/14. Cancelled the down payment because we had become less trustful that this contractor would do the work that we had planned in the time we needed it accomplished . Can not invest that amount of money when you do not trust the reliability and workmanship of contractor. Contractor threatened to sue for breach of contract and we felt that Sharper Edge had breached the contract when the company did not follow through on the plans to us in time needed to fulfill agreement. Needless to say, this went back and forth and this fall the contractor sued us. Moral of story, NEVER sign a contract unless you have all the things needed and dates required in writing!! I truly believe that there are a lot of reliable contractors out there, Sharper Edge is not one of them.

Terrible concrete work -(concrete stamping did not match up, did not finish edges, side walk not level, terriible trowel finish. VERY dissatisfied.

He did have proper staffing; he tried to have one guy do the whole concrete job where I was told there would be 4-6 guys working at a time. The concrete drive is where they could finish it, its uneven and water pools in several places but the sunk have a big deep in them and probably about an inch sunk. So he came out and put a patch on it that's a totally different color of concrete. He broke about 20 coping stones around the pool and never repaired those. He put in the ones that were already there and I was told he would use hand tools to chip away the concrete around so that they didn't get damaged, but they used a flag hammer and flat out shuttered them.

We decided upon two paver patios connected by a walkway. Sharper Edge was great to work with. Tom?s designs were detailed and accurate, and his cost estimates clear and complete. His workers were outstanding for their competence and responsiveness to our questions, and demonstrated a creative flair in their work. They cleaned up every evening, showed up when they said they would, called when rain delayed them, and took obvious pride in the quality of their finished product .
