Seagate Roofing and Waterproofing

Very well. They were very specific about how they would go about the job, both verbally and in writing. The estimator seemed very experienced and knowledgeable. The actual workers were very professional and competent. There were no unpleasant surprises. A neighbor of mine had used them, and she gave them high marks, which made me feel comfortable and confident that they were going to be the right choice for me. I was not disappointed.

Siding and gutters look great. No pressure from sales rep. Lower price than competitors and didn’t try to sell me what I didn’t need. Had some structural issues with my house they found and helped me get it fixed so they could complete the job. House looks so different people think I tore old one down and rebuilt!

Very professional salesperson. NO pressure sales approach and respectful to me and my wife (unlike EverDry’s sales approach from 1960s). They Got project done when committed to and left area very clean. Would definitely recommend Seagate and use them again.

In June 2020, a very large tree branch fell on my home with damage to my roof and siding and knocking the chimney down to the ground. I live 4.5 hours from Toledo and since I was not going to be able to be onsite for contractor selection directly, I relied on recommendations from various resources, looked into reviews for each, and communicated often with my father who acted as my eyes and ears while I was away. Dad also provided extra insight as he was in the construction trade for 50 years so could talk-the-talk and walk-the-walk. Of course, his is my most trustworthy recommendation and I value his opinions and guidance, especially in this unexpected and unfortunate circumstance. We chose Seagate based upon this information. I was looking at a whole new roof, chimney rebuild, new siding, window cladding, awnings, and shutters. Things moved along and, given the coordination efforts that need to be made with various subcontractors and weather conditions, delays were understandable…after all, mine was not the only job they are all working on. Throughout the five-month project, there was a period of time when it seemed communication stalled and work came to a halt, neither my father nor I had been provided a status of the job. It wasn’t until I reached out to the project manager to get an update. After a few phone calls on both sides, we were able to get back on the same page. The stall wasn’t related to the major work like the roofing, siding, or chimney, it was more that there were manufacturing and delivery delays that I wasn’t aware of for the awnings (& wouldn’t be since I wasn’t directly involved with that behind-the-scenes responsibility) and there were a few smaller items still to be fixed. This is not meant to demean the work done overall, but more of a suggestion to inform the customer when such instances occur simply in order to let them know they are not forgotten. From that point forward, communication greatly improved between the project manager, Dad, and me. I was given the project managers cell phone number for direct access. When the awnings came in, they were the wrong color scheme. Yes, I was disappointed; however, mistakes happen and I was reassured that I would get what I selected. The correct awnings were received in a timely manner and all was back to expectations. The remaining items were finished within a few days as well, making the job complete. While there may have been a few bumps along the way, they were promptly remedied which restored my faith in the company and I would choose them again for exterior work. Incidentally, when it came time to sign-off the job and the final invoice was received, there was a discrepancy in the total amount from them as compared to my insurance company’s final numbers for payment. The project manager and office staff promptly resolved the issue after communicating directly with my agent and final sign-off and payment was recently taken care of. Thanks to Seagate Roofing and Foundation and their subcontractors, my home now has a brand new exterior which I am extremely grateful for, and proud of, due all of their work.

I had high hopes when hiring Seagate for my foundation repair. Upon the start of the job on 5/18 I realized there was some serious miscommunication between Tom Wagner who sold the job, and Wes who was installing the job. There was very different ideas of how the job was to be done and the two of them and they consistently complained about each other to me. Expecting me to have a very large tree removed immediately when it wasn’t put in the quote (Tom said the job could be done with the tree, Wes said it was impossible. Like a parent with arguing children, I had to inform them that none of that is my problem and they should be the ones to figure it out.) Another day started by calling in the morning to tell me I would need to have the drain snaked, only to find out at the end of the day they had installed a sump pump and added it to the bill without confirming with me. The job was projected to finish within a few weeks, but the final hole in my foundation wasn’t patched until 7/21(2 months after start date). I called to ask about a bill and several weeks later received a voicemail and text demanding payment for said bill that I never received. When I asked them to clarify the additional money on the bill that I only received a photo of thru text, both Tom Wagner and the owner of the company Tom Elder said they don’t give detailed descriptions of what’s on the bill. When I explained that it is standard practice to explain why there were additional charges beyond the quote they just demanded I pay the bill. Talking to the owner, I realized quickly that he wasn’t interested in the truth of what chaos his crew caused for me in my home for over 2 months. Even with documentation, photos and text proof I attempted to show him he could only say “my guys are telling me a different story.” I own a business and could never imagine speaking to or treating a client as poorly as the owner Tom Elder did. Overall extremely dissatisfied. Not only with the unprofessional staff and owner that I had to deal with, the fact that they didn’t put my fence back up, didn’t put my grounding wire back, dinged up my aluminum siding and tore up my entire yard.

Great service, fair prices and friendly people. Fantastic customer service. We had siding replaced. They gave us the extra paint they had so we could touch up other areas of my siding which was much appreciated. Very happy with the work!

Seagate did an amazing job with our foundation repair. Their pricing was cheaper than other companies we looked into. They installed carbon fiber wall straps that are sleeker and stronger than traditional steel beams. Our installers were very professional and got the job done in a timely matter. Will definitely be looking at Seagate for our future home projects!

I had Seagate waterproof areas of my roof several years ago. I had initially used a different company with a cheaper quote. What a mistake. I called Seagate and they repaired my mansared roof. It was difficult but they kept trying different things until it was perfect. I was so happy I asked them to waterproof my basement this year. I did not call around because I knew they would do the best job. I was not disappointed. Every member of their staff was professional and polite just like to roofing team !! I would recommend them to anyone!

Seagate did a great job with our roof! After getting four estimates from different companies, Seagate came in at the lowest and was less than HALF the cost of our first quote. They finished in just two days and my husband and I couldn't be happier! If you need a roof done at a reasonable cost and still want it to look and perform great, look no further!

We made the mistake of hiring a local repair guy who did not fix the issue. Brought Seagate Roofing's Bill Jones in for a quote & got onto their schedule. Now the water has been directed properly & the roofing shingles were able to perfectly match the rest of the porch overhang. Happy with the results & attention to detail from roofers who know their business! In a previous home, we also hired Seagate for a whole roofing job, so they are our go to.

Totally satisfied with all the work. Workers were knowledgeable and courteous. Since they finished late last Nov. they just came back to reseed where necessary. Cost was reasonable for the work done.

Excellent work, a very positive experience. Product is working beautifully keeping leaves out of my gutters. Installers were polite and knowledgeable, cleaning up when finished. I highly recommend Segate for this type of work.

We absolutely loved the work Seagate Roofing did on our barn roof! As soon as they got to the house they got right to work! Everything was completed in a professional and timely manner. Tom Elder showed up at the house after getting estimates from two “other” waterproofing services. Tom was very professional, to the point, explained what would be done and also the benefits using his company that included dust mitigation and material disposal. His crews cleaned up each day after a grueling day in the basement. They were very professional and answered all questions professionally when asked.

Had new flat roof on back of house done. First they came right away to look at job and give a quote, then expedited job because we were leaving the country. Job was finished after we left but returned home to find everything done and cleaned up like they were never there.Could not be happier with the work or the new roof.
