When we moved to this house with its ancient furnace, Schmidlin was the only place who knew how to service it. The previous owners only used them. I have been thrilled by their service and availability.

Tom and Bob did a great job and were very professional. We had a very old boiler heating system from 1966 and Tom has worked on it twice in the past. We finally decided was time for a new one. With every big expensive we’ve had in the past, there has always been some issue that made us unsatisfied. We thought we were going to have an issue with this one as well so we voiced our concerns. Tom and Bob both stayed late and made sure we were completely comfortable with everything and we very much appreciated that. This is the only company we will ever hire for HVAC and we will always request Tom. He absolutely knows his business!

The entire experience was perfect. One call with zero transfers provided a parts estimate and labor rate. Two phone calls to other vendors included call transfers, no information and a promise to call back the next day. Schmidlin gathered the needed information and scheduled the call on that initial call. Day of service received an early call from the plumber tech asking if he could come early. Arrived at time he said he would arrive. Inspected problem and replaced the valve stem, handle w/screw, and new anti-siphon valve. While parts were similar to total replacement cost was lower because much less labor was required. The entire experience and end cost was perfect and I will call Schmidlin the next time I need a professional plumber and business centered on offering an excellent customer experience.

Although they could not service my furnace because it wasn't a brand they handled, they made a referral for Bluflame who has wonderful reviews on Angie's List as well. Schmidlin's prices are fair and everyone to whom I talked was helpful and respectful. Thanks, Schmidlin!

His complete knowledge of the boiler made finding the problem easy. He explained the complete working of the system. He also checked the functioning of my radiators.

Referred by insurance and told they would call within 24 hours. They did not call so left message. They then called back and scheduled an appointment for several days later. Upon arrival plumber inspected sump pump. Said it was installed incorrectly and homeowner's warrantee would not cover repairs he recommended. Said line from pump was going uphill and that that was incorrect. Pump is in a crawl. Pump forces water uphill so that there is proper grade outside the house for gravity to take water away via piping that is graded to run downhill We did not find his explanation credible considering we did our due diligence when pump was installed and ALL estimates included the same type of installation.

GREAT JOB!!! Easy to get an appointment, arrived on time, did a fantastic, professional job. Explained in detail the service and repairs, never once tried to sell my high priced un-needed parts. A competitor wanted to charge $1900 to fix the problem. Tom was open, honest, and gave me advice on how to maintain the valves in the future. I'll call them every time for now on!!!

When I arrived, I found out that they really did not have the sump pump I was looking for. All they had was one with a diaphragm. This was not what I was looking for. The lady who helped me was really nice, but I was not happy that I drove all the way to their store based on what I was told on the phone. I went to a home improvement store and found a Flotec sump pump with a float switch that extends about 4" above the pump before turning it on. I don't appreciate being told that they have an item, when they really don't.
