Great - he not only corrected area where leak was noted - but he saw issue with gutter in same area and fixed the issue to help prevent future problems in this area of the roof.

Complete tear down and new roof put in in 2&1/2 days on a 3500 SF house .The price was the best amongst all the other quotes received.

We had used Salgau Roofing before to replace our roof. He did an excellent job on the roof and I recommended Nicholai and his crew highly. We used Salgau roofing for this job because of our past experience with him, as well as their knowledge of painting homes in the Old West End Neighborhood. From the estimate, through the repair work, the assistance in matching our color scheme, through the care for the property and cleaning up upon completion, the work and workers were phenomenal. We had a crew of between 10 and 14 who worked daily on the house. The arrived before 8 a.m. and left around 6 p.m. each day, including two Saturdays. They were special people and worked hard and diligently on the work. They were pleasant, jovial, cordial with us and our neighbors and our grandson and while it was tedious work, maintained a high degree of professionalism throughout the job. Several of the guys were literally artists in what they did with the accents on the house. They worked hard, with artist paint brushes in uncovering lost accents of the house (due to previous paint jobs) and worked with me to replace about 36 accent pieces that had been missing. We can honestly say that the house looks amazing and is the highlight of the neighborhood. Their care, attention to detail, persistence to get things "just right", and their friendliness and work ethic makes this group of your men really special in our eyes. I would recommend Salgau Co. unequivocally for any roofing, painting,or repair work you might need.

Quick and clean, the owner came to check in the beginning to give general instructions and in the end to see if all was done well and they had cleaned after. We like him a lot, very honest and hard worker. Nicolai is always prompt to help, answers the calls - (emergency in this case as it was leaking badly inside and I have two little boys); and he is always present to check what was done - quality service from his team and from him a great responsiveness and commitment, he truly cares about his service and us, his customers and above all he KNOWS what he is doing. We recommended him to a bunch of other people that liked him too. Can't say enough.

Altho he called 15 minutes and said he was on the way, it was ok with me as i was not going anywhere till late afternoon. They did a replace of facer board and removed existing eve's and covered it in Aluminum. The work looked good and the team of 5 people seemed profesional. They did a clean up and was gone by Noon. I would hire them again.

Complete tear off of the existing roof system. Inspect the underlying wood deck, then make any necessary repairs, to match existing. Install ½? wood fiber board with metal plates and screws. Install base-tie-ins. Install .060 EPDM roofing membrane (rubber) to be totally adhered. Flash all penetrations. Install white drip edge. Install 1 new brown roof vent Install 1 3"-4" pipe flashing. Install Owens Corning Duration Shingle, Brownwodd Color Clean up and remove debris from premise All products will be installed/applied according to manufacturer's specifications 10 year labor warranty to be issued by Salgau Roofing, Inc. It took six workers two days to complete the job. I cannot recommend Salgau Roofing enough. By far the best most professional roffer in the Toledo, Ohio area.

The work was done well. The people who did the work were really nice except that they showed up and started working on it. I had no clue that they were going to be here. They were right outside the window and I didn’t expect them to be there. That was a little bit of a spy. They fixed the problem. The pricing was good.

Quick and easy. Cleaned everything up. Had many guys working on it.

From the estimate, through the permitting, to the replacement of the roof, the crew did a wonderful job. The estimate, and the final price, were reasonable for what e had done and the steepness of the roof pitch. We also needed some underlayment repair. To top it off, the flashing around the chimneys (3) was done in copper which was historically appropriate for the house. They finished in 3 days complete and I was impressed with how the grounds and roof looked when they were done. It was if they had never been here, including using a heavy magnet on wheels on the driveways and lawns of both out property and that of our neighbors to insure that no metal scraps or nails were left on the ground. The crew was led by people who know what they were doing and took constant precautions to make sure all the crew was safe and on task. Nicholai Salgau, the owner, was on site each day with the crew and in the late afternoon to make sure things were on track,. The crew was professional, courteous, and very pleasant to work with. Part of the same crew does house exterior painting and we plan to use them within the next year to complete that task. Nothing but good things to say about the company and the work they did.

Went very well. A large house with dormers and copper flashing. Replaced bead board under overhangs. Happy with everything.This took about six days. Very good clean-up. Workers were great to work with, informed me about every thing they were doing.

The crew was prompt and professional. They worked long hard days and left things cleaner than when they arrived. This was a big job and no breaks were taken during the day except for lunch, which again was prompt. I would highly recommend this company! We plan on having them replace the roof on our home in the spring!

Great! Nicolai and his crew are always responsive, fast, and helpful. They're typically able to solve roof problems that we have on houses using better techniques that are more cost effective than we would have done otherwise. They do a great job!

Nicolai Salgau showed up to give me a quote on time. I was late and he waited 20 minutes for me. He delivered his quote within a couple days, as promised. I received a total of three quotes for my job. Salgau was as much as $2,500 below the other quotes. A month or so later we scheduled the work. Again, they showed up as promised with a huge work crew. I have a fairly large 2 story house. They tore off my old roof and put the new roof on all in the same day. They also put a roof on my shed to match the house. The quality of work and the professionalism were top notch. Way above my expectations. I would recommend them a hundred times over.

My overall experience with them was good. They cleaned up after themselves. Overall, it was excellent. Price was reasonable. Quality was good.

I was away when the roof replacement was performed so cannot report about that but I can report about Mr. Salgau's quick response, high level of professionalism, punctuality, value, and timeliness. Mr. Salgau was the first company to send me a quote among the four companies that I contacted and his quote was the lowest for exactly the same work and specifications and shingles. But he also provided a 10-year warranty on their labor in addition to the warranty that the shingle manufacturer provides. They performed the roof replacement within 4 days of my sending them the approved quote and the dumpster was removed the next day. Except for a small amount of light debris under the dumpster which I had agreed to clean up myself, I have not found any debris around my house. The roof looks very good and it appears to be exactly what I had requested. In all of our interactions Mr. Salgau was very courteous, professional, and responsive. It was a pleasure speaking with him and I felt confident that he would perform well. My confidence appears to have been well placed. I am extremely pleased with the work that he and his company have completed and would be happy to hire them again for other work in the future. I highly recommend them.

I have used Salgau Roofing for at least 5 jobs on my home and rental property. Nicolai is always very responsive and prompt; if he's running even 5 minutes late, he will call to advise. He's friendly and I trust his comments and believe that his pricing is very fair. I have recommended him to several friends and they have all been happy with his work as well.

It went very well. His staff came and started promptly. Stopping only for lunch. They cleaned up everything and then some.

Ok, i waited 2 years to give a review. Thats because I wanted to see if i was going to have any problems with the quality of workmanship or materials. Well after all this time, severe wind storms , driveing rain and snow, The roof is as good as the day they put it on. Nick and his crew were true professionals during all phases of the roofing process. Thanks guys.

I had a fantastic experience on every aspect of our Salgau roof repair. We live in a historic district, and had to undertake a full roof tear off and replacement on our 1897 home. I sought out 5 different companies for quotations, and asked many neighbors for input. We were most impressed with Nick Salgau. During the quotation process he demonstrated a high level of professionalism. He returned a quote of $15,000 within about 48 hours of visiting our house. The contract and warranty he offered were simple, and easy to understand. I liked that he only offers one type of asphalt tile - other companies had tried to do some kind of elaborate sales job explaining all of these variations in quality that we could pay for. Salgau seems to know what works, and uses it. Simple. No nonsense. You just pick a color. He asks for 50% of the contract price when the work is half-way done, and he asks for the balance upon completion. He really seems to trust his customers and he takes his reputation very seriously. This price was consistent with the others that we had received. I then found the Angie's List coupon that he had on offer. I asked to see if he would honor it, and he said that he would. I was thrilled that he was able to re-do the contract for 10% off! I spoke to several other neighbors who had used Salgau, and they also confirmed that they had a tremendous experience with the company. One of them, who is a very knowledgeable realtor, said that there isn't another company in Toledo that she would think of entrusting a project like this to. So, I returned the contract with my choice of tile color and scheduled the date. He wanted to do it sooner, but I had several reasons for needing to push it forward (including travel and the need to set aside time to clear out our attic). He really wanted to fit it in earlier, and we did have to stress the reason for the schedule. However, I can't really blame him because this is something that you really need sunny days for and there are only so many of those in a season. Sunday evening before the work was to start, Nick sent over his foreman to investigate. He was a very serious younger gentleman, who asked many questions to make sure that they would have what they needed in the morning, and to coordinate about the drop off of the materials and the dumpster. Impressed, again. The entire job took about 4.5 days. Each day they were sure to cover any exposed area with tarps, to protect against the rain. The first day, they were there from about 8:00 am-7:00 pm, because a lot of wood was rotted and had to be replaced. They made sure to show me the areas that required removal and replacement of the wood. It was a big area, bigger than they expected. They did not charge me anything extra for what seemed to be a lot of extra labor and wood. It was also one of those days that was extremely hot and sunny. I was surprised that they would go the extra mile on a day like that, but they did. They always seemed to be asking me if there were other things that they could take care of, since they were up there (like removing an old Dish Network dish that was still affixed to the roof). The other area where they seemed to go the extra mile was in the protection of my garden. I have invested lots of time and care in to the development of my garden around the house. They took the time to build these elaborate protective structures so that they would not damage any of my flowers as they tore off the old roof. None of the plants suffered at all! I also think that they did a pretty darn good job of cleaning up after themselves. I have only stumbled upon two nails in the 2 months after the work was completed. Over all, I really liked the crew that he had working for him. I have heard all sorts of stories about how sketchy some roofers can be. These guys were not at all. They were all friendly, personable and seemed to recognize the fact that they are doing something really big (and sort of frightening!) to a home that you deeply care about. I did take the time to bring them Gatorade and some sandwiches, which they were not expecting, but really appreciated. I couldn't believe how hard they were working on my house! If I had any quibble at all, it would be that we were told during the estimate process that our gutters would not need to be replaced. Then, during the actual work, the foreman said that they had to be removed and could not be reused. This was a little disappointing, but not that disappointing because we have found out that, in the two months since the gutters have been gone, we have not had any water in our basement! (Whereas, when we had the gutters, we would see a lot of water in one area of the basement.) Clearly, there was an actual problem with the gutters. I would describe Salgau as "serious as a heart attack" about the quality of the workmanship and the conduct of his team. I highly, highly recommend this company.

They were excellent. The job was excellent. They're very professional. They were very consistent, clean up on the job was excellent, and very professional. They're a little expensive but I'll probably give them an "A" for what they do.
