Description of Work: Two crews....the first crew was unresponsive to greetings and left cigarette butts all around the house. Then they disappeared for 3 days without a word. The second crew was awesome: professional, succinct, interactive, and they performed a high-quality repair.

Description of Work: Left my roof exposed during a rain storm. Did not follow industry standard of sectional strip and re roof. Destroyed my house with 35000 in damages. I questioned them on the weather and what they were doing before the disaster. Would never use them. Would not stand behind there mistake.

Description of Work: They sealed the roof in areas that snow and ice had damaged. I will not comment on the quality of the work until after the winter is over as I see tiles that are not "tacked" down and I question if they were missed during the work time. The owner was respectful as he explained what was to be done and came to collect his pay on a Sunday. I thought that was unprofessional. He did not do the work, but had a crew who did the actual work.

Description of Work: I was very happy to not only find someone to repair my slate roof but also be quite accomplished in the lost art of slate roofing. The Salgau crew was efficient, skilled and professional. The price was fair and the life of my roof will probably be extended by average age of a newfangled asphalt shingle installation.

They were very efficient and professional and did a great job of cleaning up and hauling away the old roofing. We noticed what appeared to be a loose shingle after a storm a week or so after the job and when we called Nicolai said he would come out to take a look. When he arrived he immediately secured the loose shingle and we haven't seen another one since. We're thrilled to have a dry garage once again.
Description of Work: Complete tear-off and replacement of the roof on a large three car garage. Tore off existing deteriorated roof and installed plywood to entire roof, installed ridge vents, installed O-C premium shingles. Hauled away old roofing materials.

We were on a budget, so he showed us materials he had left from another job that were actually very high quality, that we got a a very steep discount. So close to Christmas in the cold, they came on a Sat. to do the work. Very nice, professional, clean.
Description of Work: replaced the shingles on our porch roof, installed new flashing and re-worked some of the structural.

Description of Work: This company is well known in the Old West End for their work on historic homes. My project required a full tear off of the roof with replacement material meeting code and authorization from the Historic Commission. The tear off was done in a timely manner and the clean-up was excellent. The workmanship is superior paying particular attention to all details. The roof job was extensive involving replacement of materials that are hard to duplicate. The paint job was performed also in an excellent manner. I was very pleased.

 + -1 moreNicholas Salgau is amazing. He was at my house within a few hours of calling him. My roof started leaking after one of those huge snowfalls last winter. He cleared it off and came back later to repair that section. He had to go to Columbus to get my slate, as I wanted it to match the rest of my roof. His repair prices are half what his competitors charge. He works on regular and slate roofs.
Description of Work: The first few times they came to house was to replace missing shingles. They also replaced a section of my slate roof.

There were a couple of boards that needed to be replaced after the fact, and he fixed them free of charge. The scheduling was easy, and he worked with us on it. They came out on time and did a really good job. We had two estimates given to us, and we decided to go with this company. The work that was done fulfilled our payment expectations.

 + 2 moreThis was by far the highest quote I received out of the five traditional painting companies that I quoted with. But worth every penny. This is an amazing company, a true gem for older homes. My house looks great! They cleaned up after themselves after every night. The crew was very polite and again - meticulous. Their prep was amazing. They were great about our angst in choosing the final colors.
Description of Work: This is not your typical roofing company. I hired this company to paint the exterior of my home. Nicholai said when he quoted the project "I won't paint a bad board." Wow, did he mean it. His crew was meticulous in prepping my home for painting. They replaced exterior boards, all with cedar. Another supporting board with popular. They scrapped for over two weeks. They replaced broken glass panes, reglazing and trim on windows. They caulked every nook and granny in my 1910 home. They rebuilt the back wall of my garage.
