I would not recommend Pool and Spa Warehouse of Toledo. I have bought my pool supplies at this store for 12 years. I called the store to see if they install liners, they did. I was told I had to come to the store to sign a contract and put money down on the liner which I did. They were 3 weeks out on installations. I was booked for 3 weeks. Never heard from them so I decided to call and make sure everything was still a go. I called the week before the three week date and when I called I was told this: "oh no one ever called you? I'm sorry but your liner will be more money since it's like a in ground pool ( which I had told them) so we are going to return your money." "Oh really, when were you going to call me, I called you!" All I got from the employee, manager and store owner was "were sorry we can't do it were 3-4 wks out, we're returning your money." They would not work with me or attempt to fix a wrong which was on their end. Basically didn't care! Will never give them my business again.
Description of Work: Did not call o come to my house to measure for a pool liner.....cancelled with out a phone call. Read below.....

I joined our HOA board and was asked to oversee the project. I had many experiences managing complex projects over many years. This suppler was selected by our board based on price, prior to my involvement. From the very beginning of the project (approx October, 2012) through its completion (July, 2013), working with Pool & Spa Warehouse was a horrible experience. Their workmanship was very sloppy, beginning to end. They did not take proper precautions to protect our property. They were difficult to get hold of, rarely answering calls, and usually responding only after many, many messages were left. The owners were very unprofessional. I was told by one of the owners that he did not have to answer my questions. I believe they cut corners everywhere they could. They had to come out and re-do many of the pieces of the job, more than once. They attempted to point fingers at everyone else working on the job site, trying to place blame on others for their own sloppiness. Their accusations never panned out, though they never admitted to anything. I have concerns about how well the pool will age. I would never have anything to do with this company again.
Description of Work: Rebuilt a existing historic pool. Made it shallower. New plumbing, electric, pump, heater, and equipment.

They did a good job of installing it but I will never use them again in my entire life and if anyone asks for my opinion about them I would tell them to stay away. Their communication was very poor. They were just very unresponsive since the initial order of the pool. It took me very numerous phone calls to get them to call me back. The pool sat in their warehouse for like three weeks before they ever called me. They had I think four of five dates in which they were going to start the installation. They never started and they never called. We told them that we wanted the pool installed by a certain date because we were going on a vacation for ten days. They showed up right as we were starting to pull out of the driveway to leave for vacation. I told them that there was no way they were going to start the pool installation without me being there. I wanted to make sure it was installed right where I wanted it. They broke several pieces of the pool that took forever to get those replaced. Many parts were not delivered with the pool. It took another six or eight weeks to get the final parts like solar cover. We had the pool installed and it took forever for it to warm up because it did not have the solar cover on it. They did a good job of installing it. I am happy with it but to me communication is the key on something like this. The price was good and that was why we selected them in the first place but overall it was not a very satisfactory experience. They started to install in June but we actually ordered it I think in April. The pool itself was $3500. It did not include the installation. The installation wasn’t the best but it is done pretty good. They broke some top covers and they originally said they were going to give us about six. We had some extra ones in case they ever broke. Eventually they did repair the two that were broken that they broke but they did not leave the extras as promised. It wasn’t a big deal but it would have been nice to have had them. I would not use them again in the future.

It is still ongoing. Our backyard is basically unuseable still. We asked and were reassured that the pool would be done by June, it is August and still not complete. They don't return calls, local electricians can not get them to respond. Terrible services, the pool is scratched, broken, a complete mess and nightmare. They have an A rating with the BBB but that was when the father ran the company we believe, now the son with the same name is doing it and running the business into the ground. Buyer BEWARE! We have to hire electricians, renegotiate their permits, nothing is to code. We had to hire a landscaper to come in to repair the damage. All I can tell you is that even though they have a good BBB rating it means nothing. A total nightmare. As of this date September 14, we are still waiting for the inspection for which they pulled the permits......
Description of Work: We contracted with Ray Snare the owner May 24, 2011 for a complete inground pool. He told us that it would be finished no later than the end of June. It is August, and we are still waiting. Unprofessional, will not return calls, communicate or give a schedule. When they did dig, he covered our patio furniture in dirt, backed into our fence with the bobcat, ran over our fire pit, smashed one our adirondak chairs, broke patio cement...what a nightmare. Complete disregard for our belongings, our property. Work was not done to code. We had to get legal representations. Needless to say...we have already made two payments on our pool loan and our yard is a complete mess. They are licensed in Michigan at this date but we wish we would have never hired them. They completely destroyed our backyard, left debris everywhere. This company should have their license revoked. We had to hire a landscaper, and electrician to come in and finish the work and rework the work they did do. Our entire summer was a nightmare due to complications, damage..we are in legal negotiations now.
