MTD PAINTING

MTD Painting is a wonderful crew of hard working, professional, and clean painters. They were able to fit us into their schedule in short order. They made some hefty promises but kept every one. The house had been peeling badly for a couple of years. They powerwashed the whole house and the paint chipped off into little pieces. They spray painted the house, awnings, garage, repaired a piece of wood trim at no extra charge, and did some minor touch up on black trim as an extra. The clean up was one of the worst they had experienced but promised us NO paint chips left. They lived up to their promise as the crew worked for 4 hours cleaning up and leaving the yard and driveway beautiful. They cut the grass and used shop vacs and blowers to clean up all the chips of paint. They worked diligently and long hours. The husband/wife team were great to do business with and very pleasant. I would recommend this company to anyone needing a painting job done. They have an excellent reputation and rely only on word of mouth for advertisement. Please give them a try, you won't regret it!

Mark, Tina, and crew did a great job prepping and painting my house. The paint was not in great shape so they had a lot of scraping to do but they took their time and made sure it was done right. The house now looks great and they cleaned up so well you would have never guessed they were ever there. I wish all my dealings with contractors went this well. Not the cheapest, but the attention to detail and professional work is worth it.

Mark and Tina have conducted a full rehabilitation of a house. Their team has successively rehabbed an entire house in less than three weeks. I continue to be amazed at their attention to detail and understanding of what I want as the client. They're always willing to help out in any way possible and go beyond the scope of work to make you happy.

Their team is experienced and always pays attention to detail. They make sure the job is done, and done right! On both the interior next year painting all the holes were filled and properly addressed. The old window treatments were removed and replaced with new vinyl blinds. Another fantastic thing that MTD does is that they make suggestions on how to improve the job. Instead of just doing what they were told, they sometimes are able to suggest more cost-effective and better looking options. I have used them many times and plan to use them anymore in the future.

Very responsive. Good communication. Trusted to work with no supervision. No hesitation to do the little extras to make the job go well and turn out amazing.

MTD did a complete, full renovation, from attic to basement, on my Perrysburg home. Work completed to include interior/exterior painting, porch painting, soffit installation, wood deck design/installation,kitchen cabinetry, appliance installation, window replacement, garage exterior/roof painting, concrete pad, light fixture installation, interior/exterior trim cut/paint/install, window blind installation, hardware installation, misc electrical work, misc plumbing work, misc carpentry work, exterior fencing, interior/exterior door paint/installation...and much more. Bottom line...you need it done, they can do it!! MTD is a FULL SERVICE contracting company. They stick to schedule, follow up in a very timely manner (via email/text/call), and will go above and beyond your expectations. Prices are very reasonable and they stick to budget. This old home looks like new and really pleases this old man...Mark and Tina real professionals. Great crew very professional and meticulous Impressed with prepping process. Involved me during the entire process. Even brought me back tacos when they went to lunch.. Also noted a rotten facia board that roofers and eaves trough contractors missed one month before. Congenial caring bunch.. Well Pleased. They developed a new paint color at SWP. its on their computer as Bates Road Blue. Bill Williams

Overall it went well. Arrived on time. It did take a day longer than estimate due living room ceiling 21' . Would use again.

The initial estimate of work was more than I was prepared to spend. The estimate was competitive with others that I had received. When I called to revise the scope of work to bring the estimate down, my calls and emails were never returned. Even assuming the possibility of missing a message, I called and emailed several times.

This company did a $2500 job last year. Pleased on many levels and told them I would call them in the future for additional painting services. Had a den needing painting this year. Called and left message asking if they would be available (they were never good in responding in a timely manner, so expected it). Got a call 2 weeks later but at work so didn't connect. After an additional 2+ weeks, I sent numerous texts, phone messages, stating my availability for good times to reach me. They texted one of those times that they would call at a certain time and never did. I started having second thoughts about pursuing them in this way so left a message to please let me know if they didn't have the time/interest in painting for me again. NEVER heard from them again. I hired another Angies painting company and have moved on. Very disappointed. Their previous work had been great. Completely unprofessional. Perhaps there is an internal problem with MTD. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I won't consider them again.

The details are; They came, they painted, and now it looks great (like a new house). They were very courteous. It is hard work standing on those ladders for such a long time. They cleaned up after themselfs.

Company would not take my job. It was stripping of woodwork and doors. They did not quote me a price and did not return calls, but were punctual and polite when they came to see the job.

oMTD painted my master bedroom--taking it from a dark khaki to a pale yellow and white. They were punctual, neat, thorough. They even suggested that they paint my doors in the bedroom, as it would have made for two different shades of "white": the freshly painted ceiling and moldings vs the old "cream" on the doors. The paint job on the ceiling, the molding and the walls was great. and included priming and insuring full coverage of the light paint over the old dark stuff. One panel on one of the closet doors was missed, and I didn't discover that until the sunshine came in the room the next day, so I painted that myself. Not a huge problem. MTD prides itself on putting your room back exactly the way they found it. That was true. There seemed to be very little MTD didn't do to ensure that I was happy. However, as they put the pictures back on my wall, one of the pictures fell against the freshly painted molding and left a ding, about half the size of a dime, in it. So, there were two little boo-boos. Not drastic or horrible for me not to take advantage of their services again. In fact, I will be calling them in the coming months to do a much larger, more difficult job. I would ask you to note that, as I write this in 2012, it was 2008 when they painted my bedroom. It may be that they no longer do the work themselves, that they may have a crew who does the work?

As on previous work MTD has done for us this job was extremely well done in every respect. We will continue to use them on future projects.

mark and tina gave us an istimate but told us that they were doing some commercial work and would work us in when they could. they did. came out on a rainey day and were very careful not to track in anything from outside. four guys including mark did the job to our complete satisfaction. no loud music and no cussing which was a pleasent surprise. they were very careful moving furniture and hanging pictures and put them back just as they were.

Called for an estimate and they came out within the week. I requested a signed written proposal detailing work to be done and costs, which they provided. I obtained 2 other estimates from other painters, and MTD was in the middle, but I chose them because I liked what she had to say about them and their company and that they take so much pride in their work. Mark and Tina own the company and one is always on site. They use Sherwin Williams paints which was great for me in going to the store for choosing colors; the SW employees were quite helpful as well. Tina was also very helpful in choosing colors and determined to do what it took to make me happy. My initial color choice for the kitchen wasn't what I expected and they repainted with a reasonable added charge, with no signs of "grumbling". Communication was good between us. The work was professional and they finished 2 days early. The crew was neat and tidy and left no messes. I really enjoyed working with this crew of friendly folks. Would definitely recommend them, as well as call them again for another job.

I found them on Angie’s List and where they were highly rated in my area. They worked out well for me and did a really good job with the painting. They were professional and cleaned up really well. I really liked the job they did on the house. They only negative with them was the cost but I had a competitive quote done which came in very similar and this helped me know how much it would actually cost for the size of my house. I was not completely thrilled with the cost but everything they did is still holding up well.

MTD Painting did a decent job and communication was poor. Timeliness was poor, they didn't show when they were supposed to, they were replaced.

Business is Mark and Tina Decker with others that fill in as needed. Our job required a subcontractor to skim coat areas where foil wallpaper was removed. The estimates for the several areas of work were quite reasonable and our schedule allowed for more flexibility than most people. However, there were several medical issues in members of their business and family that caused many missed days of scheduled work. This was too frustrating for us

After initial contact ,owners came out for an estimate, in a very timely manner . Both were very personable. Tina was very helpful in choosing colors. Job was started within 2-3 business days-this was great. Our only complaints were that the company had promised to return household items back to their rightful place, this was not completely done, and the clean-up could have been a little sharper (small amts of paint on floors and woodwork). The overall job was great ! After the completion of the job, we had discussed with the company the possibility of them doing another job for us, but no contact from the company as of this date.

Tina and Mark came and gave me an estimate regarding the entire job...I called them and scheduled a start up date within a week. They came with a crew of 4 the first day....then finished with a crew of two and the job was completed as stated. They completed the ceiling work first, them started patching up spots on my very crooked walls. They also had to place a skim coat of plaster to cover the paneling that was in the computer room before doing the "stucco" effect. They cleaned up just like theky said they would and I LOVE MY NEW LOOK. Gail

They listened to our request, gave us an estimate and did the job. They did a very high quality of work and were flexible in the timing of the work as well.

They did an amazing job and were very professional throughout the whole experience. We had a previous painter run off with our money so we were very skeptical when hiring another painter. Mark and Tina were fantastic and calmed our fears. I highly recommend them and will definitely use their services again in the future.

No show for estimate. My Husband and I cancelled plans to stay home and wait. N ot even a phone call to say they were running late or could not make it. Very disappointing.
