Very businesslike and professional...did a great job for me. Couldn't have found a better person. Most definitely would use them again.

Everything went great. They were on time, laid carpet protector down. and protected everything from dust. I was truly impressed with the workers and workmanship. Not only did they perform a quality job, but they cleaned up after themselves. You would not have know they were here. I expected that it would be an all day job, it was not. They took the time to show me how it worked and made sure I could do it. I highly recommend Jacob's Ladder to everyone. I will most defiantly use again them again

I called them and they came out when they said they would. They gave me an estimate which was reasonable and I hired them to do the work. They showed up on time and performed the work according to what I wanted. I would recommend them.

He never called me back to provide and estimate so I did not use his services.

Jacobs installed two doors, and installed a fan in the batheroom.

They repaired a part of my chimney wall that was cracking. The workman was excellent and did a great job overall! He even came out the day after the bid, which I appreciated!

Weather played a very important factor. We hit a window of opportunity and they were here exactly when needed. His workers were never here too early nor stayed too late. work went well, and they always kept us informed of thier progress. They had to move things out of the way on our deck, and put it back where it belonged. They even had to remove my satillite dish from the roof and replace it, and believe it or not NO loss of signal. At a boy! Very enjoyable experience. Will definately contact Jacob again when needed. Maybe even to repair or replace where leaking water has ruined the ceiling.

Jacob responded to my phone call within one day, and was here to look at the job the next day. He emailed me a proposal which was very professional. He did not overcharge; his bid was fair. After I approved it, the work was done within a couple of days. He was honest about the repairs I needed. He did what was necessary to stop my roof leaks, and gave me some advice on what may need to be done later.I would hire him again for any kind of job.

This was our best home service experience ever. The video provided more information about the problem along with discussion of recommended repair. We knew exactly how and what the repair was to go. We received several follow up phone calls to keep us updated on materials order and expected day of repair. Jacob was up front about schedule. Ordering material and arrival was thought to be a week and a half. In my mind schedule was right on. By calendar arrival slipped by one day - due to a very rainy day. We both would recommend Jacob's Ladder for roof work.

It took a few weeks to get done but matched the timeframe agreed upon by Jacob and myself. Once here Jacob was quick, clean and professional. The shower seems to be sealed well and the new trim, wall board and caulk looks great.

I was very happy from how polite he was, to him coming on time. His prices are reasonable I was looking for a handyman that I could hire again, and I have found him.

Jacob came out and went over everything we needed done. Jacob was very knowledgable in many areas. 2 days later we received an e-mail with the estimate. The work began approx 3 weeks latter due to rain delays. The work was done very quickly. The only issue we had was a couple of flowers were broke in the process. I would use this company again. They did a great job for us.

Jacob was very responsive. He came to my house and provided a written estimate of work within a few days of my initial contact. The work was scheduled and completed within the time frame Jacob provided at the time of the quote. The crew (2 workers) was here as scheduled and worked quickly and efficiently to complete all of the tasks. They went above and beyond by offering to clean the rust stains off of the siding by my chimney that were caused by the old chase pan. Jacob checked on the work being done and made sure all of my questions were answered. The guys on the crew were very polite and professional. When everything was done, the bill Jacob sent me was less than the quoted amount. He had reduced the cost of some of the items that took less time than originally estimated. What a pleasant surprise! I would definitely ask Jacob to do work for me in the future.

I wish there were an option above "A=Excellent". Jacob's Ladder did an incredible job. They replaced two (2) doors on my back porch. Jacob picked up the doors, locksets and all materials needed and arrived fully equipped to get the job done and right on time. They had to deal with off-measurement door openings, rotten floor board and creating door trim from knotty pine - which went with the rustic look of the room. It was a very creative gig and they just went with it and made created a fabulous finished product.. The work was suberb and beyond what I expected - the guys were true artists and craftsmen and created a true masterpiece. They worked without taking a break and completed the job in one day. Please do not hesitate to call Jacob's Ladder - they are amazing! They will be back to continue work on this room as well as other projects in my home. A+++++++++++++++++++++++

It was a pleasure to work with a person like Jacob. He understood every thing I wanted done and gave us ample notice when his guys would start the job and when it would be done. Jeff and Bob did a great job. they were very professional, kept things cleaned up and were out of there before we knew it. It's nice to find someone in the business you can TRUST!! We will definitely use them again.

Well, I joined Angie's List for the sole purpose of finding a reputable handyman service. I expected that I would use the service for others contractors as well, but a small job is all that we needed done, currently. I wanted to locate someone that was reliable. That simple task isn't so simple these days. There have been countless situations over the years where my husband or myself had contacted a business for an estimate for work and never received a call back. We have finally come to the decision that we refuse to chase anyone down to give them our money. That was the reason I signed us up for Angie's List. I contacted Jacob's Ladder to have some old bird's nests removed from a roof peak vent and have something put over it to prevent future intruders. I chose Jacob's Ladder because it was at the top of the list. We were not disappointed. Jacob phoned back in a reasonable amount of time, gave me his schedule and we decided on a time that would work. He was ON TIME. He assessed the situation and showed me some mesh that he had with him and explained that he could cut it and tuck it in on the bottom edge for a better look and a bit more security. Presto, in a matter of 10 minutes or so, the debris was cleared out and the mesh covering was afixed into position. He gathered the nesting into a small trash bag that he tied up and kindly asked us to put it in our trash. We were happy to pay someone that was prompt in returning a phone call, made himself available when we could 'fit' him in and then actually showed up and he was ON TIME!! YEAH...... He was confident that he could fix our problem and had a solution instantly. We realize this wasn't a complex situation, but it's nice to be able to defer the small stuff to someone that can get the job done and let us not have to bother with it. We will call on Jacob in the futrue when other chores come up that we just don't want to do or feel we would rather pay to have someone else do for us! I'm certain that if he would have stood still for five minutes, I could have found ten other jobs for him! Owning a home requires continuous work and money, it's nice to know we have found a contractor that can handle some of the work with us.

Everything is fine. They replaced it, put in a new lock and painted it. All of the workers that came out to do the work were very agreeable and pleasant. Jacob himself was around to make sure everything was on track.

I called Jacob and set an appointment for an estimate. He was on time, I explained what I needed, he listened to what I had to say, took notes and asked questions as we went along and promised to have an estimate for the work by the end of the day.True to his word, I received an estimate that night and I called Jacob the next day to set an appointment to have the work done. Again, on the scheduled day, Jacob was on time. He started with the kitchen faucet (I had purchased a new one), he removed the old one, assembled the new one and put it in place. We tried it, but no hot water. It turns out the 15 year old valve had had enough. So Jacob replaced both the hot and cold water valves with new ones. We tried it. It worked great with no leaks (it's three weeks later as I write this, I've had no problems) Next was the dripping shower head. He took off the shower head, disassembled the water nob mechanism thing and cleaned it out, put it back together.. still dripping.. disassembled it again, he found a tiny little spring that had lost it's springiness and figured that was the problem. He was correct. Jacob went to the store and returned with a new tiny little spring (my technical term- not his) re-assembled everything. We tried it and no more dripping (again three weeks later and still no dripping) The towel rod was a simple fix, Jacob put in new anchors. The mail box was simple as well, a few long wood screws did the trick. Throughout the process, Jacob was polite and courteous and even when I was ready to give up on the dripping shower head, he wasn't. I'm glad I hired him. I ended up paying the estimate even with Jacob's trip to the store and the unscheduled replacement of the valves on the kitchen faucet.

I decided not to go with them because they were a little pricey. Everything else about them was fine apart from their price. I spoke to the gentleman who works for Jacob's and I thought they were very good. There was some waiting time; their responsiveness was not the best. He was very professional. I would have used them if it was not for their price. If his price had come down I would have had no hesitation using them.

Punctual to respond and provide quote. Men responded on time and did work nicely.

Everything went great!! I have had Jacob do odds and end jobs around my house and I have had the greatest experience working with him. He is honest and is very fair with his pricing. I have REFERRED him to many of my friends, family, and co-workers to have different things done in their home such as painting, power washing, installing new patios, plumbing, and roofing. Thanks again Jake for all of your hard work and we will be using you again in the future when we need our roof done!!

They showed up on time and and performed the services as agreed to. They kept everything cleaned and left the job sight cleaner then when they arrived. I plan on using Jacob's ladder again and will recommend him to anyone.
