I got someone to assist within 5 minutes. They were able to delete the document and gave me hints on how to protect it from happening again. I was informed to make sure the printer was not in sleep mode by pressing the printer screen. I haven't had a problem since.
Description of Work: I had an issue with my printer. There was a document stuck in queue and I could not delete it. I contacted the Geek Squad as I have a contract with them.

I hate him. I bought a computer and it was a good deal. I had them transfer the data from my old computer to my new computer and they did that. But they did not my software for protection to my new computer. It had a different software which they did not specify to me. I paid $80 up front when they had my computer but when I got home they called me back and said that based on the state of my computer there is an additional $80. When I got my computer back, all the stuff on my computer was not there, maybe just one fourth of the data that I had from my old computer. The software which was different so I had to get that changed. So I took it back to them again and had that taken care of. In order to get the service that I wanted, my best scenario was to get an insurance plan because they needed $200 in order for them to take care of that. However the last time I was there, it was fine and they were a great store. But the last time I felt that they tried to suck every penny they can out of me. In the past, I brought a Xbox to them and I had it insured through them. It was mal-functioning that is why I took it to them. At first they told me that they could not see anything wrong with it but I told them to keep it until they see what?s wrong with it. They ended up giving me a new X-box because my insurance plan had covered that. But they were actually trying to get out of honouring their insurance coverage. Plus the fact that they are far from where I live and I don?t want to drive for the same issue. So I am not happy at all with them. All I know is that I got a good deal but when I was actually finished with them I did not get a deal at all. They charged me all the money that I thought I had paid plus on. I don?t know if they were telling me the truth or they just want more money from my pocket.

Description of Work: I was looking for a tablet at the store. I stopped at the Ipad area of the store. A gentleman started a conversation with me about the Ipad. I thought he was a Best Buy employee. He told me about all the features of an Ipad Air. He was very knowledgeable. I found out that he was an employee of Apple. Once I selected the Ipad Air, he found a Best Buy employee to help me with the purchase. The employee was very helpful and polite. I also purchased the Geek Squad service as I have it for the computer that I bought at Best Buy. The Geek Squad is amazing with assisting you on a problem. I also bought a camera from the store. A returning customer is a happy customer.

They gave me sensible advice. They told me exactly what I needed for a computer, not too much power or capabilities that I did not need. I've used them twice now.
Description of Work: I ended up buying from Best Buy/Geek Squad. I took a computer and had it completely set to factory settings at Best Buy. Then it went bad again and I went back to Best Buy and bought a new computer.

. Left it at Best Buy and told them about the plug problem .We have the extended Geek Squad warranty. Received an automated call that the computer was ready. At the store, the sales person said that they had cleaned the computer and made some adjustments. They did not fix the plug problem at all which was why we had brought it in. They said the plug needed to be reattached to the case and that they didn't do that. Asked why they had wasted our time and accepted it for repair in the first place, why they hadn't even called to explain. Their answer was to connect it carefully or pay them $150 to ship it away, So much for their "warranty". When we got it home, the plug in did not connect no matter how careful we were. .
Description of Work: computer is under warranty. Took in because the housing for the electric plug appeared to be loose and computer wouldn't charge. It was also shutting down. They took the computer in, kept it for several days and didn't repair it.

terrible when they arrived to the house the third party said it would cost 200-900. I paid Best Buy 150 for this service. A day later with my dryer sitting in the middle of the basement the third party (Jeremy Johnson) said he was not license to do this work and never came back. The washer line was leaking one drip at a time so they failed at that too. Best buy was impossible to get a hold of with the 800 number. Personal from Best Buy said they would call back. I went to Best Buy personally complained and the store manager refunded the installation fees. he was sorry for the problem. I told him Best Buy and the third party, Jeremy, misinformed me of what service that was being provided. The old dryer is still in the basement and Jeremy refuses to come remove the dryer as promised when I purchased the unit.
Description of Work: bought a new lg washer and gas dryer. the third party from best buy said they could bring the gas line down to install.

They are kind of expensive. If we use Best Buy, probably we are going to pay more than we need to, but they are convenient. The quality of the TV is excellent.

I was impressed how the Geek Squad follow-up on the connection problem, and did not leave me out to dry. even though this was a special sales promotion by Best Buy for Netgear Routers.
Description of Work: I was switching from a DSL service to a cable internet service in my home. I went to Best Buy which was running a a sale on a Netgear N300 wireless router and 6 months of service b y the Geek Squad. I setup my appointment to have them setup the route after the Cable Company hooked up my new cable line. The Geek Squad agent came to my home on time during weekend hours. She was able to setup the route and three of my computers. There was a problem with my connection between my Sony TV and the router, which she could not figure out. The Geek Squad sent a second technical out who was able to figure out the connection problem.

We went to Best Buy to look for a new HD TV. The floor staff was wonderful helping us. They described and showed us the difference between Projection and Flat Panel, which helped us to narrow down which TV we wanted. Once we decided on a TV, they explained that because of a promotion, installation would be free. This helped "seal the deal" on our decision to purchase our TV from Best Buy. We set up a time for our installation, and the installer showed up on time and prepared. Having the TV installed professionally saved us a lot of time and hassle than if we were to have done it ourselves.
Description of Work: The floor staff at Best Buy helped us to decide on a TV and came to our house to install it.

Unfortunately, I didn t listen to her about the Sony unit. I thought I was safe with the brand name. Over the next four days, twice the unit would not turn on with either the power button on the unit or on the remote. After letting it sit over night, it would turn on. Other that these two times, it work great, but I did not want to take a chance it would get worse, and it was a pain when the family sat down to watch a movie and the set would not start. In addition, I now had a rented disk stuck in the machine. When I took it back, I explained to the service people about the intermittent problem. Remember, the key word here is intermittent . Well, they acted as if I was lying when the unit started right up. One of the service guys said to the other that well, he can return anyway, even if there isn t anything wrong with it . Now maybe they didn t understand what intermittent meant, but they should have figured out that I wasn t trying to scam them by returning a Sony for a Sharp for the same price. This return experience ruined that satisfaction that I got from my initial buy.
Description of Work: I went into Best Buy to look at Plasma TV s and Blue-Ray DVD players. I had some knowledge, but this was my first time with this type of media. he help I received by Nicole pleasantly surprised me. She was friendly, took time with me and surprise, surprise, actually was quite knowledgeable about all the products. She even warned me about problems with one particular brand name disk player. What a grand shopping experience.
