Gary's Garage Door Co

I asked Gary to come to take care of a seriously squeaking garage door (that I had not been able to lubricate myself successfully) and to check on the light that no longer stayed on for the minute or so after the door raised or lowered. He came when promised, took care of the grating noises, and told me that I had an excellent, heavy duty door opener, but that the part for repairing the light was no longer being made. He said he would keep a look out for that part to cannibalize from another garage door opener if he came across one. He also offered to buy my opener if I decided to replace it w/ a newer model. That helped convince me that I do have a good opener and maybe I shouldn't mess with it. In past years, he has replaced each of the heavy springs that raise and lower the heavy, wooden double garage door. My house was built in the 1950's, and the springs were replaced in the 1990's, sometime after I moved here. There has been no problem with them since--except as noted above--normal maintenance.

Old garage door was wood and very heavy. ( 1975 ventage) Bought new lighter door and up to date opener. Needed someone to install it. Looked Gary up in the phone book, called him, got estimate, then booked him.
