DELUXE PAINTING

Deluxe Painting just finished painting the interior of our home . The house is a custom built home in the Craftsman / Newport Cottage style. Painting the interior is a challenge due to the unusual cut ins, angles, wood trim , ceileings and arch ways. It?s a tough job. We used Deluxe Painters because they did the exterior of the home in June of last year and did an outstanding job. We knew we could count on them to deliver a high quality service on the interior. Dave the owner and his able assistant Dan did a remarkable job. Dave has decades of experience and we relied on his advise and suggestions. His pricing was reasonable. It was a very fair considering the high quality of the final product. They started on time and finished the project early---due to their diligence and hard work. They were at the house every day at 7:15 am sharp. They worked tirelessly and steady.The preparation and taping of floors and wood work was exceptional. They protected my home like it was their own. They even painted an extra hall ceiling for no additional charge. They cleaned the job materials out and left our home spotless. Last summer there was a small spot that was missed and they cam back the next day and made it right. As a business owner myself I?m impressed by the quality and results provided by Dave.

They completed everything on time and did a good job.

This looks great! The area was starting to look aged, and Dave came in and painted the entire area and it looks fantastic. He had a helper come in and tape everything. Fixed some of the cracks on the wall. Took down all the electrical plates. Very professional. He cleaned up after himself. While he was here he cleaned a spot on my carpet for free! He is great. I would recommend him to anyone. I have long heating vents on my floor and he cleaned them, and painted them as well.

Dave and Dan were prompt and Dave addressed additional value add tasks including caulking around frames and cabinets while prepping the walls. Deluxe Painting was personable and professional. Highly recommended. They did an quality work including large bare walls and more complicated kitchen cabinet and window frames requiring more detailed brush work.

Everything went very well, Dave with Deluxe painting was very punctual. Polite group to work with completed job without any problems. The full warranty that he provides on his work he stands behind it all the way. I have not had any problems, but I did have any problems I am sure that He would have resolved them without any difficulty. The work looks excellent. The ceiling lines look so straight that I was calling him laser dave by the end of the job.

We're very pleased with our newly-painted house. Dave has an eagle-eye and made sure all details were addressed. He's an excellent painter and takes pride in his work. We were contacted promptly and he continued to update us through the entire project. He uses only the best paint and made sure we know how to care for the house to keep the paint looking good for years.

We had taken on a project that was much too large for the time we had available and needed help! I called Dave on Sunday afternoon and he called me right back! We scheduled an estimate for Monday Morning and he started on Tuesday! Fortunately, the weather helped us out as ours was an inside job and he had a backlog of outside work but it was raining! So, he fit us in and did an awesome job. We have a vaulted ceiling in the bedroom and even though it would have been very challenging for us he took care of like he was signing his name. We had already purchased the paint (which was no problem for Dave) and he arrived with an assistant ready to go! They wrapped it up in half a day and it looks awesome! I know we got lucky with the timing and he probably can't usually get a job done that quickly but I'm sure glad I called him first (made that decision based on the info and revues in Angie's list). We will have some more painting to do in the Fall and Dave has already looked at the job and said "just give me a call when you are ready"! I will.

Terrific! We got 5 bids for the job and theirs was on the low end. As a former contractor, I could tell that Dave really knew his business after talking with him. Dave insisted on NO money down for stain or labor! He trusted us and we now completely trust him.Dave made recommendations about our trim that we hadn't thought of. The house turned out much better than we expected. We get compliments all the time. They used high-quality stain (Sherwin-Williams Deckscapes) and helped to match the color of our windows for the trim. They showed up early in the morning on the day they said they would start. They came each morning at the same time until the job was complete. They cleaned up each day and were careful not to leave drips all over. Although much of the work required ladders, our flowers and shrubs were undamaged. We had no problems with yelling or loud, obnoxious music. They were courteous, honest, knowledgeable, and very professional at all times. They even alerted us to a small gas leak from our meter. I have nothing negative to say about Deluxe Painting. Dave is an honest guy who does a great job. I'm even recommending him to paint my mother's house.

It went very well. Dave, the painter, communicated well and let me know his concerns and suggestions. For example, he told me that the front gutters were not cleaned and the downspout was clogged. I decided to have them clean those gutters and have the cost added to my bill.

I had never meet Dave the owner of Deluxe Painters. Deluxe Painters painted my home in June of 2013. Our home has a complex design with three floors in the back , two in the front. It is cedar shake siding . It would be complicated for any painter. I had a much lower bid from another painter but when Dave showed up and pointed out the need for power washing, two coats on the sun facing portion of the house, wood repair, and other details it was obvious that he knew what he was talking about. He quoted me a materials and job price that seemed reasonable. He stuck to his pricing except for some added work that we agreed on. He was just and fair. He started on the day that he said he would. He and one of his co-workers (Dan) showed up every morning at exactly 7am and worked 8 hours most days. They worked for two weeks. The work was simply outstanding. Everything was taped, covered and done well without a drop of paint anywhere. The job site was cleaned up nightly. He showed me receipts for all the paint which he bought on his painter?s discount. He and his assistant conducted themselves as pros and gentlemen. They worked very hard and did not mess around. Due to heavy rain and the need for our carpenter to provide some repair work they needed to come back to finish about 5% of the job. I paid him 100% and trusted he would return. They came back on the day they said they would and finished everything to perfection. I will hire them to do interior work this winter.

I found Deluxe Painting through Angie's List and am very thankful for that. Dave set up an appointment with me and was prepared to give him his estimate on the spot. I accepted his estimate and he started work on 5/20/2013. Dave told me it would take 5 days and he was a correct. The work site was always clean when they completed for the day and they were always here when they said they would be. Dave and Dan we very courteous,professional and pleasant to have at my home. Dave did not accept any payment until all work was complete and I was completely satisfied. They are both honest, friendly people. Excellent communication! Dave is back already doing a couple of extra little jobs for me.

It went fine. He answers his calls right away and he promptly came out to do it. I don't think that it was even a week after I talked to him that he was here painting. They do a wonderful job. He's good about coming into your home and treating it with respect. They don't waste anytime. They go right to work and stay at it until it's done. I don't think they could do anything better because they do a great job. I'm very, very, pleased.

Well initially I hired a couple of guys who said that they would paint the restaurant and that did not go very well. They ended up painting only part of the restaurant and created quite a mess. Well, I called Dave (Deluxe Painting) and told him my situation. He came to my restaurant an hour later and told me that he would get me out of this jam and finish the job. Before starting he sent the Sherwin Williams rep to visit my restaurant to make sure that we purchased the correct paint that would last the daily wear and tear of a restaurant. Dave was very professional and courteous. He did a fantastic job, was never late and I would use him again in the future.

Selected this service from Angie's List based on the reviews and "award" given. Called and Dave explained that he had a commitment to paint outside but with the rain, they could not work outside. I explained I needed a bedroom painted. He said he could give me an estimate and if it worked, he might be able to paint that week. We agreed this might not be able to happen because of his other painting obligations. I wanted the room painted and just wanted to get into the rotation. He came the next evening to provide an estimate. He provided an estimate for the painting, priming, etc. that was required; he provided a separate estimate for the paint. We agreed upon the work; the next day when it was raining, the crew arrived promptly as agreed upon. The room required prep work prior to painting; it also required two coats of paint. The room looks wonderful! After completion of the work, everything was left spotless. Dave was very easy to work with - provided details on what would be done, provide great advice, answered questions - overall, very pleased and appreciative of his service, professionialism, and the work done. After working with Dave and seeing the end product, it confirms for me how great it is to have Angie's List and how I know who I'll continue to work with when the next paint job arises!

The job went very smoothly and professionally. They were cleaned up and gone and with just a little more effort my Spring house cleaning for that end of the house was done.

I contacted Dave on Tuesday after he was recommended on Angie's list and at the local Sherwin WIlliams shop I stopped in. We had a bit of urgency as we wanted to get the painting done before our new carpet is to be installed in 2 weeks and before our third child is born a couple weeks later (Also so I had time to air out the house for my pregnant wife to return home). Dave came out Wed morning to take a look, gave us a great quote and let me know that he has 3-4 months worth of exterior painting booked but has some openings while it was still cold and could get it done Friday if that was enough time for us to pick out the colors. He came out and taped the flooring protection down on Thursday and said he would be back at 7am Friday. He and one of his employees, Dan, came out promptly on Friday and completed the job (taping, 2 coats of each color and cleanup) by 2pm. They did a great job and now our foyer is a great lighter color that really looks great.

"Dave gave me an estimate for the labor and the paint. Started on the day he said they would start and was on time every day. They worked Monday through Saturday the first week and Monday through Wednesday the second week. They finished in the amount of time as stated at the beginning. They moved the furniture and cleaned up after themselves every day. Even rehung the pictures and a shelf. Dave got the paint on sale and saved me about $100. Told me he would call me in a week to make sure everything was OK. Called me and came back to touch up a small area as I requested (less than 10 min.)

This is the third time I have had Dave and his crew paint for me. The first time was about 3 years ago when I had him power wash and paint the exterior of my house. He was very prompt, forthcoming about details, as well as professional. This is why we asked him to come back and paint the second time when we decided to re-model our kitchen, dining room and living room. His work is neat and clean and we didn't have any worries about the job whatsoever. So when it came time to re-paint the bedrooms and the bathroom it was a no brainer on who we would choose. Dave also helped me pick out the colors that would work best for our home. Dave came highly recommended from fellow employees. He continues to give us excellent results with every job. This is why we have used him for every one of our projects since we moved here 3 years ago. He has also performed work for my in-laws on a couple of occasions and to be honest he could definitely charge more for his work. We gave him an extra $150.00 to show our appreciation. I would highly recommend Deluxe Painting for any Interior or Exterior project!!

January 5th I called Dave after he left a voicemail. He said he was going to begin painting January 9th. I was happy but at the same time unprepared because I was supposed to prime a number of areas and hadn't done so because of being ill. I told him this and he became loud and said "goodbye I'll call you in 3-4 weeks." I was dumbfounded at his response and disrespect. I asked him why he was acting like this and he said because he was ready and I wasn't. I hung up the phone and the next day I began the task of priming. I called him back when finished priming and said if you are still available can you paint, he said yes. January 8th he calls and ask if I had picked out the colors yet and I told him I'm still undecided about the large room and will be purchasing samples this evening to paint on my walls. I told him I could purchase some of the paint because I had a gift card and I would let him know the next day what I am going to buy. He said don't call me late in the day. A couple hours later he called me and told me to buy the tape, etc. and I told him that I wasn't going to be able to buy everything with the gift card. He once again got loud and irate and said that I told him I was buying all the paint (which I never said). I told him in no uncertain terms that I didn't appreciate being yelled at and that I can give it right back and he proceeded to continue yelling and telling me to find someone else to do the job. I hung up. (Note: During one of our conversations before he had called to tell me he was ready to come and paint he said "I think I gave you a real good price - too good." My thought is that this painter either had a better opportunity to make more money elsewhere or he didn't want to paint because he underestimated his price.) Final thought: Since when is the customer responsible for obtaining all the supplies for the contractor? Very unprofessional, rude, disrespectful, and irresponsible!

Went well overall. Did ask to be paid before completed and did return to complete per request. Said would paint doors and did not- but otherwise looks good. Did a good job matching paint and Used quality products. Would recommend.

Dave was prompt in coming over for the estimate and gave a very good price. He came out and powerwashed the chimney and returned in a few days for the painting. He accomodated my schedule for the inside painting. Dave and Dan were always prompt and friendly. Paint job went very well--excellent work. Would hire again. Very professional.
