DELUXE PAINTING

Dave is the owner/operator. Dave and his helper Dan started the job and worked all day and everyday until the job was completed. It was not an easy job. The job consisted of power washing, scraping, caulking, spot priming, and two coats of paint. Two Colors, white facia and soffits with a color on the walls. I will say the job was done professional and in a timely manner. My wife and I were extremely pleased. Dan H.

Dave was always interested in assuring we were extremely satisfied with the paint job. He paid attention to numerous details that others would have not done. He frequently called on us to confirm that his work was satisfactory unlike most contractors that hope you don't notice the work details until after they are gone.

Dave and his helper, Dan, were great! The first day, they came and power washed to clean the surfaces and also organized their ladders and equipment, so they could hit the ground running the next day. Our home had not been painted for many years and the whole back side was in rough shape. The job that Dave and Dan did was fantastic!! The wood looks renewed! Each day Dave would let me know where they were working around the house and estimated timing. They arrived every day on time, by 7am and cleaned up before they left for the day. Dave uses the highest quality paint, which is pricey. So, for months prior to the job starting, Dave would call me to tell me when that paint was on sale for 40% off, so I could get the best price. They used over 8 gallons, so the savings helped considerably. He separates the cost of the paint from the labor charge, so he makes no money on markups. I highly recommend Deluxe Painting and I will definitely use them again for another project that I have planned next year!

Dave does a beautiful job. All surfaces were power washed a day ahead of time and two coats applied. No spatter or runs. Price was labor only, the paint was purchased separately.

Dave 'The Painter" did a very good job. When he cam out and quoted the work I already had two other quotes. He wasn't the highest or the lowest cost vendor, but I decided to go with him after a few conversations. He arrived on time both days and did a good, professional job. I would utilize his services again.

Deluxe was booked pretty heavy in the spring but they came in late May (which he estimated it would be in March). Once they started they worked this job exclusively until they were finished. Upon Dave's recommendation, he had all the paint remixed to provide more contrast of the trim to the siding and it came out beautifully. They also took care a few minor, non-painting issues we were very happy with. My wife and I were very happy with them and consider the price and service an excellent value. We hope to use them again for some interior work.

The whole experience was positive from the initial contact until the completion of the job. The process took several days. They cleaned up at the end of each day so you would never know that they had been here. The finished decks look great!

I can't tell you how impressed I am. I've worked with a lot of contractors and these two are among the best. Responded promptly with an estimate and started work almost immediately (I needed to get the house on the market to sell and Dan responded!). Two coats of the best paint made the house look new on the outside. No paint spillage on brick, sidewalk or flower beds. These two guys started at 07:30 and worked till 2:30 with a minimum of breaks and never left the job site. Worked straight through for 5 days with ZERO goofing off. Definitely would use them again and highly recommend them.

The job was to paint our master bath, two coats on walls and ceiling, which consists of three rooms all with ten foot ceilings. In my opinion a difficult paint job. Dave and his helper arrived exactly on time at 7:30 AM. They put down a lot of drop cloths to protect floors and such. The first coat was done by noon, they had a short lunch break and the second coat and cleanup were done by 3:30. The paint job is excellent as was the cleanup. It couldn't have gone any better. I would not hesitate to call Deluxe again and I would highly recommend them to anybody needing quality painting done.

He is professional, knowledgeable and fun to work with. He came and taped and prepped the area the day before so when they arrived first thing the next morning, they could begin painting. They were finished by mid day and cleaned up everything. It was a pleasure having him work on our home. I already have him quoting painting our exterior and power washing for us next.

Dave was prompt to respond and give us an onsite estimate. There was a degree of difficulty involved in painting the 2 story foyer , because the first painter we called for an estimate declined the job leaving it to his wife to call back to say..."it was a job for the professionals". Dave was very patient and helpful in trying to choose the exact color we wanted. Calling the Sherwin Williams store requesting a sample of the custom blended color more than once. We were able to take advantage of his professional discount at the store as well for paint and supplies. Dave and Dan were professional, hard working, efficient and dependable. Worked on a Sunday without us asking and didn't charge extra. Lowered the price slightly when it didn't take him as long as he thought it would......Can you believe it? .....WHO DOES THAT?

Dave and I went through the entire house and discussed what needed to be done. It was two coats of paint on the ceiling, two coats of paint on the walls, and three coats of paint on the baseboard trim. His crew showed up on time every day. They prepared the areas properly that needed to be painted, and were clean and neat throughout the project. During the whole time, he was very professional and kept me well-informed during the job. He overcame obstacles, such as no heat for several hours, and he had no water during the entire job. He was not paid until the job was completed as we agreed. I never wondered if Dave was not going to show up for the job. The job was completed ahead of schedule. It was a pleasure working with Dave.

I have used this small company before to paint bedrooms, basement walls, garage walls, hallways, split rail fence, etc. They have always done excellent work at a good price. I intend to use them again this summer. I recommend this company without reservation!

My wife and I were very pleased with Dave and his team. We found Dave to be upfront and very honest and one of the few companies that actually provided a detailed accounting of materials and costs. They were on time every day and they did exactly what they said they would do - when they said they would do it. Now that is rare in this day and age. Kudos Dave! We really appreciated the communication and the instructions that Dave offered along the way. He told us exactly what he would do and why he was doing it. He was kind and asked for our input and worked with us when he had suggestions of how we may achieve better results. Dave was thorough when explaining what he would do and how he would do it. He easy to contact and was responsive to all our questions. They were especially efficient in their work and we were pleased by the quality of their work. They even moved our heavy furniture, which was a big bonus. I would not hesitate to use them again, as they were especially easy to work with.

Deluxe Painting just finished their forth job for me. I hired them in the summer of 2013 to paint the exterior of my Perrysburg home. The work was remarkably well done and the results were beautiful. I then hired them to paint several rooms and ceilings in 2014. Again, the results were outstanding. When my mother passed away and we listed her home for sale we hired Deluxe to paint several rooms. Last week I had them back a third time to paint the interior of the garage, several closets, a study, and some ceiling work. Dave the owner and Dan his able assistant show up on time or early for every job. They carefully prep and tape every thing. All areas are fully protected with tarps or plastic. They work only with the highest quality materials. Their work ethic is exceptional. If an area needs only one coat Dave will say so. If the area needs two coats or a extra prime you can count on his judgment being correct. The clean up is efficient and when they are finished I have never found a mistake or drip anywhere. I?ve had other painters that do only an average job for slightly less money but the results don't compare to Deluxe. I?m always quoted a fair price and Dave takes no money until the job is 100% finished. A few times Dave has found extra work that was not quoted but could make a big difference in the appearance---I?ve always followed his suggestion and the extra charge was agreed on and well worth it.

All the glorious reviews were during his young glorious days. Now just grumpy old man. It does not matter how much you pay him, it will not be enough. He is not ready to hear about any imperfections in the work. He will do what you want, but after a heart-aching grief. He comes in 7:30 and is usually gone by 1:00. Does not respect time commitments. Work quality is above average, but so is many out there, but the other many will respect your time and appreciate your business, unlike this one. Look harder before you hire him.

My first impression of Dave is that he's a bit gruff on the phone. But my face to face interactions was positive and I hired him based on his previous Angie's list reviews. Dave met with me at my convenience. He listened to what I had to say, made several practical suggestions, and returned the next day with a job estimate. Dave did several test strips and wasn't happy until he matched the paint perfectly, and I mean perfectly. Dave did a great job. He first power washed the entire job site. The painting is all done by hand with brushes. Attention to detail was evident, with no spatter or runs. He starts early and works non-stop with a very short, on site lunch. Job site was cleaned up each night with tools and ladders neatly arranged. He does require a 4 x 8 area to place a tarp with his tools and paint, and a place to plug in his microwave oven. On completion of the job, nothing was left behind and the garage area was swept out. His pricing is fair, and he did not collect payment until I had inspected the job site with him and made sure I was satisfied with the workmanship. I intend to use Dave's services in the future. It was a big job and Dave made our place look like new.

Dave was on time every day. He performed his work in a safe and professional manner. He showed respect for my property and cleaned up the work site each day before leaving. He and his assistant Dan, did a great job applying two coats to the house trim and made an extra effort to paint the trim on a high chimney. Dave took extra steps to be sure I was aware of each phase of the painting project. His attention to detail and to the concern of his client was great and quite refreshing. I would do business with Dave again without question.

Dave and his partner were great. They were quick and did great work. As promised, Dave called a week later to make sure no touch-ups were needed (they weren't). We plan on having them back soon for more painting.

Dave did a fantastic job , he did exactly what he said he was going to do, he was friendly professional and honest. He showed up every single day at 7 am and finished the job in a timely fashion. I would definitely recommend Dave and his partner without any hesitations . I also found out that my neighbor had her house painted by Dave Deluxe Painting last year and she was very satisfied with his work.
