My computer was sluggish. I thought probably viruses, malware, whatever. So I took it to Computer Discount at Miracle Mile for cleaning and tune up. The Escape key had been missing for over a year. Not a big deal, but asked that they replace that while they had it as long as it would be fast and easy. They called the same day and said I needed a new hard drive and would only take a couple days. They called three days later to let me know it was ready, then called back to say they wanted to check one more thing. Two weeks later they still had my laptop. When I called to ask why it was taking so long, they said they ordered the new Escape key and originally received the wrong one and were waiting for the right one to come in. I reminded them that the Escape key was not a priority and I only wanted it replaced if it was fast and easy, they said it would be once it came in. By now, my laptop was at their other location at Sylvania and Secor so I picked it up there without the new escape key. When I got it home, I opened it to a spreadsheet that I'd been working on for six years. It had not occurred to me that they new hard drive would not have the Microsoft Office that I had installed when I bought it. They had installed a free word processing program without consulting me. The color coding on the free software was extremely different than what I had been using and it changed my spreadsheet and retained those colors on other computers that did have Microsoft. That made it impossible to use the flashdrive on any of the other computers I use. I called the Miracle Mile location and asked how to remedy this. They said I could bring my Microsoft in and they would install it for me. If they had talked to me about this before installing the free program, it would have saved my spreadsheet instead of having to go back to all 528 entries to change the color back. I took it to the Sylvania and Secor location, but the associate there said he couldn't help me. It was very obvious I was keeping him from whatever he was doing on his own computer behind the counter. There were no other customers in the store, but he kept interrupting me and trying to get rid of me. I did go back to the Miracle Mile store and they installed my Microsoft. At least at that location they were always polite and tried to be helpful. I aslo had to make a trip back to the store to retrieve the plug in portion of my wireless mouse. My only other complaint is that now my laptop thinks my name is "Valued Customer".

They have always done a beautiful job for me and they are not expensive. I have a computer and I only use it for looking at my emails and they have always done a great job of fixing my inexpensive computer for me when it decides to stop working. They are quick, and can do it in a day and a half. I used to use Best Buy and it always ended up costing me $200 to $300 dollars for the repairs and this company will do the same work for $100.00 which makes it more reasonable.
