A spectacular job by a truly professional crew. The lead guy is Bob Kennedy, who leads an outstanding crew of painters, some of whom have been doing it for 30 years. Bob paid attention to every single detail, and spent much of his time in prep work, making sure that the house, and only the house, would get painted. Our house had not been painted properly in over 12 years, and it showed. In particular, the backside, facing the afternoon sun, was in bad shape, with some wood that had fallen apart. Bob took care of all of it, applying multiple coats of paint to make sure it would stick and survive the elements. He also patched up all sorts of wood problems around the house and pool house, caulking all holes, resealing the windows, and so forth. He also added several unexpected extras, including painting our mailbox, and putting three coats of rich stain on our front doors (which are fairly large). The house now looks brand new. His crew arrived at the same reasonable time every morning (between 8:30 and 9:00) and some stayed until 10 p.m. each night. They were delayed one day of work because of rain, but otherwise they were there 10 days in a row to complete the job in a timely manner. Important point: The price turned out to be quite a bit more than we were originally led to believe. The original estimate was $5,500 for the main house and $900 for our pool house, independently of paint costs, which would be in addition to the work estimate. As the house needed multiple coats, we were rather surprised by the final amount (nearly $6,000 in paint). So just be fully aware of the fact that the customer will have to pay for whatever paint is purchased in addition to the work estimate (and that could really add up). I could not have asked for a more professional crew and cannot recommend them highly enough, though. It is just about the best experience we have ever had with home service.
