About September 25, 1986 American Cellular Became CellularOne’s First agent in northwest Ohio and Southeastern Michigan. American Cellular prospered and in 1990 became CellularOne’s first Platinum Agent. CellularOne was soon purchased by Airtouch. Today, American Cellular is a Verizon Wireless Premium Agent operating locations in both northern and southern Ohio markets.
