AA Haul Away Today

Contacted the provider who seemed very positive and eager to complete the job of picking up a damaged couch from my home and taking it to the dump. He quoted me a price of $55 and set-up a time the following day to pick it up. I then called him back to add a used outdoor basketball goal for which he then stated that he could take as well for an additional $15-$20 that he would decide on when he arrived to see how large it was. He came to the house at the agreed upon time for the pickup and met with my wife as I was at work. However, only took the couch as he stated he did not have room for the goal as it was bigger than he thought. He charged my wife the full $75 for both the couch and the goal and said that he had another guy that would come by the house and pick up the goal later that day at 2pm. No one showed to pickup the goal at the time he indicated. My wife called and when he answered he said hello a few times and hung up as if he couldn't hear her on the line. She then called back and left a message that the goal was never picked up and asked that the job be completed. No return call was received and no one showed up to get the goal for that day. The next day my wife called again and left a message asking that the job be completed and the goal removed. When he did not show again by 6:30pm that day to finish the job I then attempted to contact the provider who answered with a few short, very quickly delivered hello's (approx 1.5 second call) and hung up again as to indicate that there was trouble with the line. This was a call from a different cell phone over 24 hrs after the original line trouble call with my wife. I then tried back and got a busy signal. I tried again to call a minute later from a third phone (land line) to which he answered with another set of hello's and a comment of "I can't hear a thing" and hung up. I called back immediately where I was connected to voice mail and as the goal was never removed at 2pm the previous day as indicated in addition to not returning the 2 previous voice mail's; I left a message asking that a refund of the $20 be mailed to my home address. Its been 2 weeks and I have not received my refund.
