I served as the General Contractor on this job and had Mike first visit the site and give me an estimate on the island plumbing and make sure drain and water could be installed where needed. Mike went out of his way to accommodate my estimate request and stopped in after hours to do the site estimate within a day or two. The trench work required jack hammering the slab digging out the pea gravel , pulling the toilet and cutting the new drain line into the existing soil pipe. They then ran new drain line, water lines and conduit for the electric in the trench and back filled it then re concreted the trench. The toilet was re-set and the area cleaned up with all trash removed from the job site. Jack and Andy worked all day to open and close this part of the job and were professional in the way they approached the job. They answered any questions I had concerning the layout and made sure the rough-in was to print. I contracted Ed's to also re-work existing plumbing to work with cabinet locations and re-route vent pipe in a soffit that was removed. They also did the finish plumbing on the sinks and installed two disposals. This group was able to work around my time schedule and other contractors to finish this job. I found them to be very professional and knowledgeable in their work. Jack did a large part of the job and was a pleasure to work with. I chose this group over several other companies, some of whom had lower estimates. With ED's being a multi-trade company I also used the electric side of the house for much of this job. It made the entire project much easier to handle and the two groups piggy backed one another on much of the work. I am very pleased with the overall outcome of this re-model job and will use ED's again in the future.
Description of Work: Major Kitchen Remodel Required cutting trench in slab floor for drain line, water lines and electric conduit then back filling and re- concreting the floors. Pulling toilet to tie new drain line into existing soil pipe. Re-working existing drain and water lines to accommodate new cabinet locations. Finish plumb three sinks tieing in drains and water and installing two disposals.

We called Eds on Tuesday, they came out on Wednesday, and the work was performed on Thursday. Both the diagnostic and the repairman were respectful and informative. (I tend to ask a lot of questions) I have never been so satisfied with a service call! Thank you Ed's!

The experience working with Shane and the other electricians was very pleasant and professional. There were many hurdles and roadblocks in this remodel and all were overcome. The work quality was excellent from the service box and circuits added in a clean and orderly way to the drop lines for the power strips being labeled and set correctly for install. Best of all after install all the appliances, power strips and other items worked from the start with no call backs. The working environment (attic w/blown-in insulation)for a large part of this project was poor. I never heard a bad word or a complaint and trust me it was bad. I was a bit concerned in the beginning contracting what I thought was basically a HVAC company to take on a electrical project of this size. My worries quickly melted away when it became clear these folks knew what they were doing and handled it with ease. In fact, being a multi-trade company made it much easier to deal with other facets of this project as it progressed. Ed's was not the LOW bidder on this project and that added to my concern. In the end do you always get what you pay for, in this case I feel I did and got it with the knowledge that they will be in business tomorrow if a problem arises. I have no problem using Ed's in the future.
Description of Work: Major kitchen update. Installed new service lines and moved existing outlets to supply new power strips. Including three new 220 volt lines a total of seven new service lines were added to the kitchen. This work was done over several days to fit in with work scheduled by other vendors. 10 can lights, 4 ceiling outlet boxes, laid conduit in floor trench to supply new island electric. Ran conduit outside to accommodate the new service lines and hid them well enough that you would never know the lines were added after the fact. 10 Soffit lines were reworked and routed though the header to allow the ceiling to be finished correctly.

after researching for the best over all type, and brand of furnace and heat pump i needed thru my online subscription to CONSUMER REPORTS, and other online sites. i then turned to ANGIE'S LIST to find the best local company that i felt would do the best job. i decidee on ED'S HAVC , out of tipp city, oh.the experience was well worth the decision. everything was done in a very professional, timely manner. i paid a little higher price for my unit, but pleasently satisfied with my choice. thanks, ANGIE, and ED'S.

The tech was running late Tuesday's they have a meeting first thing in the morning but one of the ofice girls called and apologized. The meeting went longer than normal but the tech was on his way and would be there asap. When he arived he was verry polite and went right to work . When I asked him about a noise I was concerned about that furnace had been making he checked it out. He said I was right I was noisier than normal but everything was in good working order. When he finished he cleaned up after himself and it was like he had never been there.
Description of Work: They came out and did a fall tune up and cleaning on my furnace. They did such a good job I purchased their service package and they'll be back in the spring to service my ac.

Everyone at Ed's is helpful and ready to answer questions. The salesman returned my initial call in a timely manner; and the ladies in the office were always cheerful and directed me to the correct person for the project that I was working on. All of the installers were extremely knowledgeable. They worked until each job was completed and then they cleaned up. They were careful of the house and furniture. Delivery from the manufacturer delayed the start of our split system installation; but the folks at Ed's worked with our scheduling. The air and heat installers encountered some issues because of the age and shape of our house. They worked out the best possible solution for us, even though it seemed to make extra work for them. On installation day for the electrical line; we had rain all morning. The installer stayed and made all the preparations on the inside so that he would be ready to hook up the line as soon as the rain quit and he would be able to work outside. There was one issue with the water heater after it was installed and the guy came out the same day to take care of it. Each installer was on time and they called ahead to let us know they were on the way. I have already recommended Ed's to friends and I look forward to working with them for a long time.
Description of Work: First installation was the Easy Water. Second installation was the Fujitsu mini split heating and cooling system. Third was a new electrical line. Fourth was the Rinnai tankless water heater.

They put their little booties on before they come into the house; they are all very conscious about such things. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future.

The crew was very nice, explained everything they were doing before they did it. I was very comfortable about that. I was not as impressed with the 30 minutes it took to go back to the office, one mile away, to get supplies, while I am paying the price of an electrician. Also, not happy about that the fact that it took less than 30 seconds to replace the microwave bulb when I had to remove and replace the snap on microwave screen. I suppose that it is a lesson learned on my part....The pricing although explained orally didnt exactly follow logically on the receipt. I have a maintenance agreement that allows for a discount but I still cant figure out, the overall bill. I called a few days later to have the bill re-explained to me but no one returned to my call as promised.
Description of Work: General maintenance, fixing two outlets, searching for electrical wiring atttached to an outdoor flood light fixture, also installing one overhead lighting fixuture at the top of second floor stairs. Also installed microwave lightbulb and outside mecury night light bulb. The whole process took about 2 hours and 15 minutes. It did required the use of ladders inside and outside....and crawling through the attic.

the plumber arrive in a timely fashion, wore booties upon entering the house, and began immediately to go about his business. I described each issue and he explained the remedy and approximate cost of each procedure. I was overall satisfied with the service except that he could not fix or properly replace the bathtub faucet that couldn't stop properly, so the shower could stream efficiently. He promised to have his Manager call me back with some options. I wanted this fixed before the holidays, as I was expecting guests and I wanted the shower to work correctly. The manager didn't return the call and it wasn't until after 1/1/11 that I called to inquire I never heard back.....the manager apologized and informed me that the faucet in question was no longer available, as it was over 20 years old. He did offer a couple of remedies but all were costly, at least more than I wanted to spend for a bathroom that is rarely used.
Description of Work: Cleaned out bathtub drain and replaced seal allowing bathtub to seal correctly. They also replaced a switch to regulate water pressure coming into the house. (I have my own well.) They also sealed commode to the floor, as it was loose from the floor. A special note about the price.....I purchased the one year electrical, HVAC and plumbing maintenance agreement so that added nearly 200.00 additional dollars. I knew that I had other issues that needed to be attended to and it seemed like a good investment, as it offered a percentage off

They are fairly honest, they show up on time and they clean up after themselves. A lot of the times, if I am running late, they will get all the outside stuff done before I'm even there. With my plan, if I need a repair then it puts me at the top of the list. I've been with them for many years. I think their prices are average, they aren't high but also not the best bargain.
