The home appraisal was inaccurate in a number of areas. The most aggress issue was his statement that the paint on our house was peeling and that it would take $10,000 to make it acceptable. Less than 1/1000th of 1% of the house had paint that was peeling and we could not repair in the middle of Winter. I attempted to contact him on numerous occasions to discuss his findings without any return calls. Due to his statement, we were unable to use his report and had to obtain another appraisal which was acceptable to the bank. We spent a lot of time and effort in addition to spending $450 for nothing.

Remember the appraiser works for the Lender and reports the truth. Sometimes the Homeowner does not like the truth, I collecting reflect the true market value. Unfortunately this was at a time when the market was down and market values were down. This review is considered a slanderous review by a unhappy Borrower and the Lender is the owner of the Appraisal Report. Therefore I can not make additional comment.
