Kind, thoughtful, diligent man!! Worked hard & quick, honest!! Even cleaned up his entire mess!! A rarity in itself I have found. I was a pain as I added the install of the 2 light fixtures at the last minute, but he squeezed them right in for me after I had to go to work...even put the lightbulbs in for me!! I'm Beyond Pleased!!
Description of Work: Upgraded my panel from 100 to 200 & installed 2 new light fixtures!

We asked for an estimate for the work. Paul Kerr Jr. came to the house, did the estimate, and explained some basic options regarding how to connect the fans. I asked him if the work could be done the next week, he said that most likely it could be done. I requested that they send us a written estimate. For some reason, it took three working days for them to send us the estimate. Once we received the estimate, I called them the next day, talked with Paul Kerr Sr., agreed to have them do the work, and asked when they could do it. He said either later that week or early the next one. By Thursday the next week, they had not contacted us again. I called, and Paul Kerr Sr. told me that they were planning to come the next day (Friday). The next day, Paul Kerr Jr. and another person came. They did the work correctly and professionally. They also cleaned up after themselves. The only glitch was that at some point they said they would have to come back another day to finish because they did not have a switch they needed. I had actually bought one of those switches at Lowes already, so they used my switch and finished the job the same day. I was a little bit surprised by the slight delays in getting the estimate and in getting the work started, and also by the fact that finishing the work was going to be postponed because of missing a part that could be obtained just by a quick trip to Lowes. However I hear that electricians are usually very busy, and this kind of minor delay is not uncommon. The bottom line is that the work was done very well, and the cost I paid was reasonable for the work, and it was in fact exactly as in the estimate I was given in advance.
Description of Work: Install 4 ceiling fans. Add extra wiring to connect one of the fans.

Linda and I recently moved to Athens County from Columbus. Due to existing electrical demand ( wide screen tv's, 2 video game systems, and 5 newly installed room air conditioners, we discovered that we experienced occasional power outages in our manufactured home. The solution to our problems could not have been easier and any more pleasant. A decision was made to contact Paul Kerr Electric, located about 10 miles from us in the Plains, Ohio. After leaving a message with the receptionist, we later received a call back from the owner himself, Paul Kerr. Mr. Kerr arranged for a visit to our home on June 17TH. We welcomed Mr. Kerr at our pre-arranged appointment time, and it was mutually determined that we had a couple of options. We decided to initially replace a single circuit breaker in our trailer and potentially, add some separate circuits in the future, in case the outages persisted. The breaker needed to be ordered. Four business days later, the new breaker was delivered, and installed 1 day early!. Since then we have not had any further concerns but will monitor the situation. We feel that we could not have had a better experience. The $85.00 charge was very fair and it has been an honor to do business with Paul Kerr Electric!
Description of Work: Scheduled visit to our manufactured home , physical assessment and review of the electrical breaker box, discussed future electrical needs and, 4 days later, installation of dual circuit 20 amp breaker.
