Great team to work with

Our items were moved from point A to B, but in the process there were several unprofessional and heated encounters with the owner/foreman Josh Squires. On two separate occasions he raised his voice and created a heated argument. I am an easygoing person and have never had another interaction like this with the dozens of contractors that have been to my homes. My family felt insulted and wronged by the way this local company handles customers. Tensions ran high throughout the move and it was overall a very uncomfortable situation. We were in a pinch for time and chose ARS for the move because they could meet our timeline. We knew when we signed the contract with ARS that their agreement removes all liability for damage to your items not covered under a full replacement insurance policy. The insurance must be purchased by the customer for 5% of the replacement fee (non-refundable, even if item is not damaged). In the process of the move some items were damaged (such as a wall, which is not possible to cover in their insurance policy) and we regretted signing this contract. I did receive quotes from other movers and know other movers have a more broad, standard insurance policy that covers all items without requiring explicit insurance of each item. Overall we wish we had chose a different company and saved ourselves the headache. I have also received a legal threat from his attorney for posting negative reviews of our experience online.

I appreciated the flat rate charge, which was comparable to other movers. The winner was the fact that they load up the truck and drive to the destination -- no addition of other peoples stuff, no storage, no delay in delivery. The staff was VERY skilled, courteous, resourceful, and professional. Definitely recommend them!

Josh and his crew of one (I had a small job) were on time and efficient. They got the job done in a timely manner, and even though my move was a smaller job, they were careful and everything was wrapped and secured and unloaded with care.
