Superior Asphalt Sealing

Superior sealed my new driveway with 2 coats. They did an absolutely excellent job. I had rocks lining my driveway along with plants, etc. and not a drop of sealant was on anything but the driveway. The edging was perfect and the driveway looks amazing. They are certainly not the cheapest company but you pay for what you get. Highly recommended.

Great customer service! The owner went out of the way to accommodate me in the schedule in short notice. The work done is very professional and am very pleased with the end result. Would definitely recommend to my friends.

Darin, the owner of SAS, arrived at our home to clean and seal the driveway. He was running about an hour behind, due to a back up at the sealer plant. He called and let me know the adjusted time and arrived promptly at that time. I left shortly after they arrived and returned in 2 hours to find a beautiful, refreshed driveway. Darin and his helper then returned about an hour later to apply the second coat. We chatted while they began the second process. I found Darin to be very professional, and informative about what they were able to do and what we needed to do to keep it looking good. We will definitely use SAS in the future and pass their name on to others. Very happy:)

Excellent job. Arrived promptly, started work immediately. We were impressed with the appearance of the men and their equipment. They took care not to get the product where it didn't belong and covered the drive completely. ( approx. 300' x 15' ) In fact, they paid particular attention to some problem areas without being asked. In all, a VERY professional job and the driveway looks beautiful.

Contacted Superior Asphalt and received a telephone quote to seal the driveway at my residence. We agreed on a price and scheduled the sealing to be done while we were away for a few days. While the driveway looked great I noticed a stain (approx 4 feet in diameter) in the street near the mailbox. I called to complain and the company said that this was highly unusual and they would come out and try to remove the stain. A couple of weeks later the owner's son come out and scrubbed the stained area. It immediately looked better but had not totally disappeared. However, the owner said that the stain will eventually disappear which it has. Since I was disappointed with the outcome the owner offered to make it right by giving me a partial refund or sealing a small driveway (for free) on a rental property scheduled to be sealed. I accepted the offer and the sealing at the rental was excellent. If it weren't for the follow up to remove the stain I would have rated their quality a "B". While I was disappointed with the stain in the street, I was impressed with the quality of the driveway sealing and their willingness to make it right. I will definitely use Superior again. In fact, I recommended them to a neighbor who was very happy with their work.

They were able to schedule an appointment within a week and did an excellent job.

I contacted "Superior" in late September requesting a quote to seal my driveway. They asked that I give them a week to get back with me and they did indeed respond roughly a week later with a price and said they would be available to do the job the following week. I agreed, we made arrangements for payment and they told me I would be contacted two days prior to the job being performed to veriy the exact day. The following week came and went with no contact. The subsequent week I called them twice and left a message both times asking if they would be out that week and asked them to return my call which they did not. At this point I made arrangements with another asphalt company which was about two weeks out. Within a couple days of hirning the other company Superior called me back and explained that rain had created a back log and they apologized for not returning my call but asked if they could have my business back and would be out the following Wednesday. Hesitantly I agreed and cancelled the other service I had recently scheduled. On Tuesday night prior to the Wednesday Superior was supposed to come out, I spent several hours cleaning up leaves and preparing the driveway for the job. On Wednesday I made arrangements to park one of our family vehicles at a friends house and coordinated around my family only bringing one vehicle home as that was what we could fit outside of our driveway. It was a hassle and would make for a much earlier next morning to coordinate the car pooling again, but we did it. Surprise Surprise....we arrive home to find no work had been performed. I called Superior and they informed me they couldnt get any sealer that morning to do jobs that day. I told them all I had done on my end and asked why they couldnt call me and let me know they werent doing the job but they seemed kind of confused by the whole idea of informing the customer that they are not doing the scheduled job. It was a big hassle, big headache, and emplore you to not waste your time with this company.

They were 55 min late and I was unimpressed with their tardiness and I no longer wanted to do business with them.

Superior did a great job at a reasonable cost. Service was initially scheduled for early Sept and they had equipment issues that needed to be corrected. They rescheduled the work with us and did a great job completing the work at the rescheduled date.

My driveway is L shaped and moderate in length. They trimmed the driveway edges. The driveway was seal coated within an hour with one coat. The driveway looks good. We discussed what might need patching next year.

They did a nice job on the day of service. No complaints there. I am disappointed ten months later because there are many spots where the sealcoating has completely worn off. There is no flaking or chipping; it's just worn off. I contacted the owner hoping that he would at least stop by and touch up the unprotected areas and he said they did a fine job and that driveways need sealed once or twice a year. This has not been my experience in the past. I usually go two years between seal coats. I'll use another company next time.

They trim around the drive way and clear debris with blower and apply asphalt coating to the drive way. The drive way has surface damage and the sealant did not adhere to it but the coating is protecting what left of the drive way. I may have to replace the drive way in about 2 years.

I contacted them through Angie's list to do my driveway. I wasn't surprised when I didn't hear from them immediately, and had just planned on doing it myself or eventually finding someone else to do it when about I month later I got a call from them. There was an immediate apology and they gave me a reason why I didn't get a contacted immediately. Not really important why but they way the person handled it was good and I decided to have them do the work. He said I would get a call in two weeks to schedule the actual time as that is when the would be in my area. Got a call almost two week later and they scheduled the appointment, showed when they said they would and did the job. The sealer they used seemed to be good quality but it's only been on for a few days so I'll update the review after it's been on for awhile. The seem to have done a really good job (A) prepping the drive. There were a few spots where the asphalt had come off and so there were relatively small hole the diameter of baseballs but not very deep. Not sure what they did but they don't exist anymore so I was very happy about that (A). There are only a few minor spots where the sealer went on thicker than others and some of this is common given they brushed/squeegeed it on, so I give them an A for that. Pretty much no sealant on the yard, which is a big deal for me so A. The only disappointment and not deal breaker to not use them again but there are some spots where sealant got on the our poured concrete footer/walls of the house and where the asphalt and concrete meet at the end of the driveway. I think I expected that area to be prepped and to have very clean lines ( or absolutely no "overage"). I'm very picky when it comes to this and a reason I'd only use a profession painter for a very hard to paint area. Professionals in general always think they don't need to protect surrounding area's because they are so good. But the result is always the same, paint on the floors or baseboards, and in this case asphalt sealant on the concrete. This the only reason they didn't get an excellent score on quality and had I said something about how picky I am on this they may have taken better care. Overall though I'm happy with the service and would recommend them to others, as they seem to have done a better job then most of the other places that have done sealing in our neighborhood.

Communication through Angie's List was great, responsiveness was great. They came by to inspect driveway and then quoted me around $100 for a single coat for my driveway. Provided me a date, and showed up exactly when they said they would. They took great care to protect my grass, and had the job done quickly. Very friendly! I was hoping for this amazing change in my driveway, and unfortunately didn't get it. I don't think it had anything to do with Superior - they did good work. I think my 16 year old asphalt driveway looks as good as it probably can without completely tearing it up and replacing it. Thanks Superior, I will definitely use again in the future!

They did a good job. They got back to me promptly. I would tell all my friends to use this company. The staff is friendly.

Called and left message asking if they were still accepting sealing jobs for this season. Called back same day and said they were, and could have an estimator come out the next day, and that they could come out early this week to do the job if they earned our business. They left a message back the next day with an estimate, explaining why they recommended 1 coat, as well as information about a larger crack we inquired about, about the sealant they use, and offered their Angie's List discount. We discussed it, and called over the weekend to schedule. Came out Monday AM(within the window they said they would-8AM-2PM) blew leaves off drive, applied seal coating-none on grass or patio : ) and put stakes at end of driveway. Left a brochure with explanation of what they'd done, and other info. Since I was not home, I called and left a message inquiring about my A.L. discount since it wasn't marked on the invoice, and how to remit payment. Darin called back promptly and told me the correct price, and gave me the payment info. Very prompt returning calls, and worked carefully. Easy to schedule, liked that it was not an all day window of when they'd be here, and that they could accommodate us so quickly at the end of the season. They are more expensive(1 coat costs the same as 2 coats with other companies.) We will see how the driveway holds up through the winter, but if it does well we would use them in the future.

Last fall (2013) Superior sealed our driveway. The job wasn't great, but ok for price so we never called to complain about it. This spring we noticed horrible cracks in the driveway and the sealant had peeled away. Now, I know it was a terrible winter which probably had something to do with it, and once again we never called to complain. Well, it's that time of year again where we need to get the driveway sealed before the winter. I called Superior on Tuesday and left a message asking for a quote and voicing my concerns regarding the cracks from last year. I received a call back 2 days later from a guy named Dustin. Bottom line is he was very rude and I will never do business with them again. Never once did he say..."how are you today", "I am sorry for the issues", "let us come out and fix it", etc. He blamed the winter for all of the issues we have experienced (some of it probably true) and then was very rude when it came to discussing price. He quoted me the group rate (for the neighborhood), which is higher than I paid last year. You would think they would offer to fix the problems or at least offer a discount for continued business. Nope! He even hung up on me while I was in mid-sentence telling him I would get back to him. Ok if you don't want to offer me a lower price or even do the job, but is it too much to ask for people to just BE NICE! It is called customer service...try it sometime and maybe you will have a more successful business.

Very honest, we will use them when we reseal next year, just wanted cracks filled this year.

They got it done when they said they would, and they did a good job.

Great. There was a chance of rain and they assured me they monitor the weather and if a slight chance of rain, they would re-schedule. Great job.

Superior was very patient and accommodating of my schedule and was able to do the sealing in a narrow window to provide the least amount of inconvenience. They put on two coats as the driveway was brand new and the work was very well done and clean.

Good experience. I called and left my address and a message that I needed to have my driveway sealed. When they called back with a quote, I told them to go ahead. They said it might be a couple weeks, but they called just a few days later and scheduled. They came first thing in the morning, did a great job, and left the area neat and clean. I was home when they came, but liked not having to be there if I had other plans. Will use them again.

The salesman came to my door offering the service. He gave me the flyer and I asked him to stop by later to give me time to look them up on Angie's List. It turns out this was the same company that I had previously given a bad review because their salesman (different gentleman) didn't know how to take no for an answer. This time I wanted to give them a chance to do the work and see if the other Angie's List ratings were true. When he came back I agreed to contract with them and was up front about my previous rating. Within a reasonable time I got a call from the company with the scheduled date and time of the service. They arrived when they said the would, they did a great job sealing the driveway. They area around the work was left neat and clean.

I spoke directly with the owner and he was very responsive. Provided a quote in 24-48 hours. Completed the work promptly and professionally. Would recommend to others.
