Chalk up another happy customer for Tim Newman. We used Angie's List to screen the roofers we invited for an estimate, and all three seemed good. Tim was particularly easy to deal with. He was prompt and professional when he came for our initial consultation; and frankly, after some previous negative experience with roofing companies, we were cautious in our approach. Tim made us feel completely comfortable about the process. We had to have our entire roof replaced due to wind/storm damage, and Tim was helpful (not pushy!) in guiding us on our choice of repairs and shingles. His team was amazing. They arriving exactly on time the morning of the job - and were like a swarm of locusts on our roof. (our roof is ~ 2100 Sq Ft., including the garage.) They had the tear-off completed in a little over an hour! The entire roofing job was completed in a single day. The crew sat down at noon, ate their lunch, and were back up on the roof at 12:30. We were so impressed by this sort of work ethic as we've had other contractors who have left the job at lunchtime and come back hours later and worked half-heartedly in the afternoon. I hope some of the guys who actually did the work read this. YOU WERE MARVELOUS! Clean-up? Well, now that you mention it, I didn't even think about it. I might have found a shingle or two in my yard over the past couple of months, but they must have done a great job because I didn't notice anything (who notices a ~clean~ house?) It has now been almost four months since our roof replacement and the roof has been great through all of the high winds and torrential rainstorms of Fall/Winter 2011. We couldn't be more delighted. It is such a pleasure to have a a GOOD experience with a service provider. Thank you Tim and Angie's List!

We spent $1125 on that service. We did not multiple quotes, so we don’t know for sure about the price. We would use them again if we needed our roof worked on.

My ridge roof vent was loose. Approximately 12 feet . I called Tim Newman Roofing. I was able to schedule an appointment within a couple of days. He gave an estimate on everything he found and did the repair the same day. I am extremely pleased.

I couldn't be happier with Tim Newman Roofing. I got four estimates, and I am very glad I went with this company. They weren't the most expensive or the least expensive, but the impression we got was that they really cared about doing a good job for us. It turned out to be true. They went above and beyond to help us figure out what we needed and could do within our budget and were very responsive throughout the project. Once the weather cooperated, they finished the work quickly and cleaned everything up.

This was a genuinely outstanding experience - I'd give this company an A+ in every category! I called Tim Newman Roofing for an estimate, based upon a glowing report from a friend who had his company replace her roof. When he arrived, Tim inspected the entire roof and then spent at least 45 minutes with me, explaining the condition of my roof, the reason that the shingles had warped, etc. The first time I saw him, I was immediately impressed by his absolutely immaculate and professional appearance. Even his company truck was so clean that it looked brand-new! At no time did Tim exert any pressure on me whatsoever, and he even encouraged me to get other bids. After talking with him, however, I was certain that I wanted his company to do the job - not only based upon the detailed estimate and Tim's obvious knowledge and years of experience - but because he absolutely radiates total honesty. I fully expected to make a deposit when I signed the contract but Tim said that his policy is to not take any form of payment until the work is completed and he's personally inspected it with the customer. I was astounded! We set a date and the crew arrived right on time. All of the men were very professional and friendly. They covered my bushes with tarps, moved yard ornaments and ensured that all of the old shingles and debris went directly into the dumpster they parked in my driveway - there was absolutely no mess in my yard. Other than the expected sound of men working on the roof and the equipment, I wouldn't have known they were at my home. The job took approximately 1.5 days to complete, which amazed me. The crew then completely cleaned up every tiny scrap of trash and even passed a giant magnet all over my yard to ensure that no nails had escaped! Tim's philosophy is to always provide exemplary customer service, and that certainly was the case with my job. Alex, the production manager, even re-inspected my driveway and the street in front for any nails before he left! I'm extremely pleased with my new roof (which is beautiful), the expert gutter guard installation and the obvious care shown for my home - it was a total pleasure to work with this company! The crew even painted the existing roof vents to match the new ones, which I certainly didn't expect! I've told friends that if/when they need new roofs, they should employ Tim Newman Roofing for the best possible results. Although I initially dreaded having the work done, it turned into a very positive experience because of Tim and his expert crew. I highly recommend Tim Newman Roofing to anyone whose home needs a new roof and/or gutter guards - you won't find a more professional, honest or dependable company with which to do business. I only wish that Tim did other types of work, too...I'd hire him in an instant for anything!!

Tim Newman worked around my schedule, and actually met me on my lunch hour to look at the job and provide a quotation for the work. He brought samples of the various products (shingles) and helped with the decision on color and style to be installed. The job lasted two days and the foreman kept me informed as to the progress and that they were on schedule. When the crew left on the last day you would not know they had been there (other than the new roofs); the clean-up was fantastic. I was very pleased with the workmanship, quality, and finnished product.

As a result of removing a wood-burning stove from our living room, we wanted the chimney removed from the roof and the roof repaired. I went to Angie's List and found 3 roofing contractors within a reasonable distance from our home. I contacted all three, and they all came out and did bids more or less when promised. Tim's was the low bid, but I don't normally hire contractors based solely on low bid; I hire based on references, recommendation, and intuition. Tim's crewman (Alex I think) showed up on time in the morning and proceeded to do exactly what was asked. Alex was pleasant and efficient. The chimney was removed, the chimney pipe running from the ceiling and thru the attic was removed, new wood sheeting and shingles (which are very close in color to the existing 18 year old shingles) were laid, and there was no mess left for us to clean up. As a bonus, the boot around an existing furnace stack was replaced at no charge. The job took about half a day to complete. It was an excellent experience, and we will be sure to recommend Tim Newman Roofing to our family and friends.

From the first contact with the sales rep. to the job foreman to the workers on the roof to Tim himself (who personally called to set the installation date), everyone was professional and friendly, answering all my questions, etc. They did a great job cleaning up afterwards. I would highly recommend Tim and crew to anyone else who needs a roof.

I had had low-profile roof vents installed 2 years ago on a one-year old roof by another company and noticed that the shingles over the vents were sliding down. I contacted the original company who told me that they wouldn't correct the problem due to it being out of warranty and they wanted to charge twice what the final cost ended up being to fix. I contacted Tim who came out and fixed the problem with shingles I supplied - high quality shingles that the original roof had been done in. During his repair, Tim discovered that the shingles used for the roof vent work were inferior to the ones originally used when the full roof was completed 3 years ago (though they looked to be the same). Also, he found that the nails used for the shingles over the vents were too short and corrected the whole run on that part of the roof.

I spent $16000 on that work. I thought they were excellent. They seemed very organized and professional and the owner kept checking back to see if everything was going ok. Their price was in the ballpark of other companies. They were more professional with their brochure and warranty information.

I would not hesitate recommending Tim Newman Roofing. Eddie, the estimator, was very approachable, open and assuring. Eddie was wonderful to work with. He took the time to explain what he saw, and what needed to be done. I contacted my insurance company, and Eddie took the time to come out and meet with the adjuster, going so far as doing the hard work of walking to the edge so the adjuster could get measurements. Not only did Tim Newman Roofing go the extra mile, but their estimate was lower than the other 2 companies that I had contacted. Tim Newman Roofing not only did a great job on the roof, but their team was very efficient and nice. Tim came multiple times during the job, and once the job was completed to walk the property and to make sure I was happy with everything.

This is the second time I have used them and they were great. I had a leak for a few years and Tim worked with me to fix it. We decided to replace the roof and Tim was very nice to work with. I would definitely recommend.

Can't say enough good things about Tim Newman Roofing! From the initial estimate, assistance with color and product choice, to their timely communication and response to queries, through the actual work and follow-up, their company and its employees were thorough, knowledgeable, and professional. Production manager Alex, and Wilmer and his crew arrived promptly at 7:30am, and kept the property clean and protected throughout the process. We checked the work and were impressed by the quality/attention to detail...no short-cuts on materials or workmanship as we had with our last contractor (and the cause of our leak and molding issues!) Tim Newman himself came out to climb up to inspect the work. The one "problem" we had was resolved that day--just a matter of getting familiar with our gutter toppers. Price was excellent, especially for the peace of mind knowing the job is done correctly. Several neighbors recommended this company--we can understand why, and we too give them a HUGE thumbs up!

I purchased one of the Angie's List Big Deals for roofing repairs using Tim Newman Roofing. I scheduled the appointment for them to come give me an estimate for noon-1pm on June 21. Alex, from Tim Newman, arrived on time and said that the repairs would be covered by the Big Deal payment that I made. He actually repaired the roof right then and even took care of some loose nails in my gutters. All-in-all, I was very pleased with the service and would consider them again in the future.

The job went pretty well. They scheduled it when the weather was very good. The crews were very knowledgeable. They answered all our questions and kept us informed of what they were doing. The crew worked very hard. They were here at 7am in the morning and worked till 9pm. I would rate them high overall. I would use them again in the future. I would recommend them.
