Very happy with the service and work provided by Tim Newman Roofing. We had them scheduled for early Decemeber to come look at a possible leak in the piping/flashing. However, becuase of snow on the roof they were unable to come out on the day of the appointment. I was very impressed with the promptness in which they called to tell me they were not able to come because of safety/snow concerns, and that they promised to put me in the que for the next day they could safely get up on the roof. And they did! About a week later when the temps rose and snow melted, they were on the phone saying they could come out that day. They came out, diagnosed the problem, fixed, it and at a reasonable price. They even looked over the rest of the roof and made a few suggestions about things that needed fixed, but could wait till spring. Really great experience with these folks and would recommend them to anyone!

His team did a great job. Tim helped me along the way since I was not in the city at the time. I would recommend this company.

Tim Newman Roofing replaced my roof that was damaged by wind. His price was competitive with other quotes. Although I had a couple of quotes that were a few hundred less than Tim's quote, we felt more comfortable with Tim's professionalism. Work was done in less than a day with a courteous crew. Cleanup was immaculate - there was no sign on the ground that the roof had been replaced. I would strongly urge others to use Tim Newman Roofing

Tim Newman Roofing installed 5 new roof vents to a room addition of our home. The original vents were installed upside-down, and then "fixed" with caulk by the prior homeowner before putting it on the market. We had several companies give us estimates and Newman was the least expensive by almost 50%. They were able to solve our problem in a more creative and cost effective way than the other companies. We have had several hard rains since installation, and the vents are no longer drawing in water. Thanks Tim Newman!

I called Tim Newman Roofing (found on Angie's List) after a rain caused water to pour into my fireplace. This was several days after a chimney contractor had done extensive work on the chimney (new liner, new cap, & tuck pointing). I assumed the contractor had disturbed the flashing. Aaron arrived and told me the flashing could stand some resealing, but that the cause of my water damage was the contractor's workmanship. He said if the flashing had been the cause, the leakage would have been through the ceiling. He then took cell phone pictures of the mess created by the chimney company and said he could return to seal the flashing after they corrected their problem. He wished me luck and said there was no charge!! Wow, he was a life saver. I am still working with the chimney contractor to correct some issues, but the exterior work is okay. I called Tim Newman again and Aaron returned to confirm the work was acceptable. He then sealed the flashing and charged $125, but accepted $100 since I had an Angie's List Coupon. I would hire Tim Newman in a heartbeat. Aaron is fantastic and made a bad experience with another company a bit better. Thank you Aaron.

I was completely satisfied with the entire process. Tim was very helpful explaining all my options for roofing materials, ventilation, and other aspects of having a new roof installed. All appointments were right on time. The roofing crew was very professional and clean up was excellent. I would highly recommend Tim Newman Roofing.

Unfortunately, it took a second visit to find the nail leak. But they were willing to come on a Saturday because of the threat of heavy rain & thunderstorms in the forecast. Was VERY pleased that they took photos of the damage and then the repair so that I could see that the work was indeed completed. Very courteous and took the time to patiently communicate clearly the work that needed to be done.

Haven't had the house for long and couldn't understand why the inspector and the bank did not see a problem with roof before mortgage was closed. Eddie assured me that my roof was still doing it's job. How refreshing to know that honesty is definitely a policy that is practiced by Tim Newman Roofing. I know that when I need a roofer in the future I will definitely call Tim Newman Roofing.

The builder provided the info needed.

A tree branch fell and did damage on one section of my house. Called several roof companies to quote the job. Tim Newman Roofing was the best quote and did a GREAT job. They also were thorough enough to find damage on my roof that had been caused by a poor repair that had been done several years back by a different company when the home was owned by someone else. Good price, good work and a timely response. That covers everything in my book!

They caulked around my skylights. They came right out. The technician was very nice. He told me that the skylight is 10 years old and they can be caulked but sometimes that does not always last. They said I may have to replace them in the future. Since he caulked there hasn't been heavy rain storms to test the quality yet. They were very responsive, nice, and I was pleased with the service.

The roofers arrived on Mon. and were finished by Tues. after totally replacing a difficult roof on our house and the utility building. They were very professional and the supervisors were constantly checking in to make sure the job was being done right and also checking in with us to make sure we were satisfied with what was going on. We also received several phone calls. They cleaned up so well you hardly knew they were there each day. I can't say enough about how impressed I am with how great the roof looks and the service.

The crew arrived on the expected day and all went well until an unexpected rain popped up. They worked to ensure the house was protected and then completed the job that day. A minor mis-communication popped up but was professionally resolved. I really appreciated Tim and his crew's focus on quality work and making sure the customer was satisfied. We would gladly work with them again.

Tim Newman, the owner, came to our home and presented his company's philosophy and plan to construct us a new roof. I have been in the contracting business for over 20 years, and I know the difference between the scam artists and the professionals. Tim Newman is a true professional that cares about the quality of work he provides. This includes his work staff, from the laborers, foreman, and onsite management. We had several trouble areas on our roof that needed to be repaired, along with the new shingles. I priced our roof with three other contractors and had them bid the tear off and replace separately from the trouble areas. The other three came in much higher for the repairs than Tim Newman's quote. I personally priced the repairs from my previous experience. Tim Newman's quote was almost exactly as what I figured. Actually, his was lower. Tim Newman's overall bid was the second lowest. The low bid was approximately $9,500.00. I didn't go with the lowest bid because I knew the company could not give me the quality I expect for the bid price. Tim Newman fit us in to his schedule as he initially told us. His management team is incredible. They treated my wife and I great, keeping me involved in the project. His labor staff was incredibly respectful to our property. The clean up was immaculate. My suggestion is to quote two or three other contractors, along with Tim. You will see the difference in the initial meeting with him. Go with Tim Newman Roofing.

I purchased the Big Deal with Tim's Roofing but missed the deadline date. I contacted Tim to ask if he would still honor the deal. He seemed hesitate but stated that he would come out and inspect the condition of the roof. Long story short, our schedules always seemed to conflict so the service was never performed. Money lost - but lesson learned.

I chose Tim Newman Roofing because of Angie's list reviews. I requested an estimate to look at some problem areas we were having. First, water was overflowing the gutter where the downspout came from the 2nd story to the first. We were also experiencing water leaking in the roof of our garage. Aaron came out and checked our roof. He said the downspout from the 2nd story needed turned to direct the water into the gutter better, and that the flashing/trim board area where the 2nd story joins the garage needed altered. He also said that the flashing needed resealed where the chimney meets the garage. He took pictures and showed me the problem areas. I told him to go ahead and make the repairs. To be safe, he estimated within 21 days, but it was 8 days later. He came back and fixed the areas. We have not yet had a hard rain, but I am pleased with the process and feel the company will honor the one year warranty should there be a problem (which I highly doubt).

They were very cordial and honest, it was a nice experience. The roofer cleaned up everything after he was done . I think his repair was done about as good as it could be done ,and he also touched up the painted flashing .on a hard to get to part of the roof . And he got the job done faster "DAYS wise " than he said he would and that was a plus , The more it rains the more damage inside I would have had .

Alex provided a very professional explanation of what needed to be done. His crew also appeared to do a very professional job. Will post a review again after a few months based on how the repair holds up.

The service person was very prompt and courteous. I feel that roofing is one area where you can easily be taken advantage of. Not knowing what to expect we were given a fair assessment of the condition of our roof and told the problem was simply the gaskets. I so appreciate honesty, therefore I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

We noticed a small leak in the ceiling during some very hard rain. I called a few companies and they were the only ones able to come out within 48 hours. Alex called ahead and said he could be there even earlier than the scheduled time, which actually worked out better. While it was easy for me to identify the leak from the attic, he took the time to go all the way up, take a picture, and come down to show me what was wrong with the bath vent collar (cracked) and also sealed some other flashing for the same price. I also got a good measurement of our sqft and ballpark estimate of much a new roof would be, since ours probably only has a few years left on it. I'm thoroughly pleased and look forward to working with them again.

I called Tim Newman about a leaking roof in a corner of our home. Office staff was very friendly and accommodating. Alex came out shortly after that to estimate the job. Several items needed to be repaired/replaced in that area and everything was explained. I felt comfortable that the estimate was only for the needed repairs and nothing we didn't need. Alex came back the following week to complete the work. Job site was very clean. Photos were taken to document the repairs, which was nice since I couldn't really see everything up on the roof. I did get one other estimate and it was a little less but not at all significant and I felt more comfortable with this company. Would definitely recommend this roofer.

Well, but high priced.

We had noticed some leaks in our ceilings and my husband contacted Tim Newman Roofing back in September, 2012 to see if the roof could be repaired. Aaron Duda, who works for Tim Newman, promptly came out to look at our roof. After a walkabout on our roof, he quickly determined that the roof vents and flashings were incorrectly installed. From the extent of the damage and thecondition of the shingles on that side of the house, we agreed with Aaron that the best course of action was to redo the roof. He removed the roof vents in one area where the leak occurred and he , securely tarped it over until it could be attended to. He gave us a quote of $ 7,325.00 to redo our entire roof, including replacing any water-damaged boards. We signed a contract for Tim Newman Roofing to roof our home after the winter had passed. At this point, we also knew that we planned to do some renovations in our home that would change the existing roof line. We asked our design/build firm, Nicholson Builders (also excellent) if they would agree to use Tim Newman Roofing to do the roofing and asked Aaron if he and his team of roofers could coordinate to work with our builder?s schedule. Both companies agreed to work together. We also notified Tim Newman that the renovations would change the roof design so we expected our agreed-upon quote would change. We added a large shed dormer and raised the roof over one room. The two new roof lines were too shallow for shingles, so we agreed to put rubber on a back roof and a metal roof over the new shed dormer. Our renovations did not start until May, and when Aaron or Tim Newman were contacted to come in consult/act on any roofing issues during construction, Aaron Duda was available and cooperative. Roofing, itself, was hampered by 19 straight days of rain. Finally, on July 12, 2013. Aaron and his wonderful crew of roofers arrived around 7:30 a.m. and they worked tirelessly to remove the old roof and replace it with a new one. Shingles were quickly removed and more water-damaged sheathing was revealed. Aaron spoke up and we agreed that more wood was needed than originally contracted and we discussed the cost to add 14 more sheets and that is what we paid for plus the upgrade on the metal roofing. We ended up paying $ 8,795.00 for the roof. The new roof went up flawlessly in one day and all had done a wonderful job. Everyone worked hard and when the roof was finished the crew carefully cleaned up all around the house. The workmanship was excellent and we are very happy with our new roof. A few days after the job was finished, Tim Newman came to inspect the job and has offered to continue to work with the folks who are still working on our construction to assist in any roof work that needs to be tied into the siding or gutters that are yet to be installed. Both Tim Newman and Aaron Duda are honest and direct and a real pleasure to work with.
