"This started off as a 2-part job. One part needed to wait in a bathroom until a shower unit could be installed in the basement bathroom. The first part was to drywall a missing ceiling and wall in a kitchen. They completed this work. There are some sunken screw heads that need a second coat of mut still. The wall is fine in the kitchen. They drywalled around the toilet area in a main floor bathroom but did not fill in the hole from an old medicine cabinet. The entire main floor bathroom was to be completed it's not. In the basement there was a half wall that was to be drywalled. It's completed and finished. In the basement bathroom the quote says they will used green board they did not. We asked them not to drywall the outside wall of the bathroom because it needed to still be insulated and they drywalled half of this wall. We had given them a lock box to the home and before we could even see what was completed at the home Mario called and demanded full payment even though only half the work was completed. I did pay him the full amount at that time trusting that they would be back to complete the rest of the work. When we did get a chance to see the home a few days later we let Kevin the sales guy know that they used the wrong drywall in the bathroom and drywalled half of a wall that we asked them not to. We removed the drywall on this wall so that the insulation could be installed. The shower was installed and we scheduled them to return to complete the remainder of the drywall. Mario the owner came back to view the job and was very disrespectful and aggressive with my partner. He was very difficult and would not listen to what needed to be accomplished still at the home. It was clear he had no interest in completing the work since had been paid. My partner didn’t feel safe in the home with Mario's aggressive behavior. When he called me to discuss he continued he further aggressive language and told me to “Suck His Dick” which is a clear reflection of his character."

Mourey Home Solutions LLC is a home repair company based out of Bryan, Ohio. My brother and I started this company in 2022, after three years of gaining experience with a commercial/residential glass company, as well as carpentry as a hobby. Since then we've installed hundreds of windows and doors under larger contractors, and are looking to work directly with the customer. The problem we're trying to solve: In our time doing both pocket (partial) replacement as well as full frame (including siding, attachment of cosmetic jambs, and trim) is that we've noticed quite a few customers either can't afford to get all of their windows replaced at once, or didn't really need new windows in the first place. How we're different: The goal is to make your window repair process as simple as possible. We are transparent in our pricing and work orders , realistic with what we promise, and never put customers in a situation where they feel pressured to purchase our service. Rough quotes are available to anyone, and will be based on the size and condition of the window. The following is a list of services that we offer, as well as the minimum and maximum that we'll charge per window. Resealing: $10-$40 Restoration of all interior wood: $40 Replacing trim- $60-$240 Reinsulating- $40-$160 Aluminum Exterior Wrapping- $80-$320 Exterior Cedar Board trim- $65-260 Siding/window drainage system inspection and repair- $100-$400 J Channel Replacement (Vinyl or Aluminum ) $70-$280 Siding Partial Replacement-$35 per panel Siding whole house replacement- Email for quote. Single Payne glass replacement- $175-$700 Hanging and cutting mirrors- $200-$800 Baseboard/Quarter Round Replacement/Restoration- $5.50/foot Your quote may include a scaffolding fee of $150 if we need it.

The average cost to hire a woodworker for a project in your home is around $65 per hour, but hourly rates can range from $35 to $250 or more, depending on the experience and skill of the woodworker. Your total woodworking project cost will depend on the complexity of the work, the type of wood, the number of projects, and any other materials your project requires. You could hire a professional woodworker to create everything from a custom cabinet to ornate, unique staircases.
Hiring a woodworker can be expensive, depending on the job, but it’s very often well worth the investment. Woodworkers are able to provide custom pieces of furniture and handmade construction to present a finished product that is exactly to your specifications. If you have a specific vision for a one-of-a-kind piece of furniture or home feature, the cost of hiring a professional woodworker is worthwhile. Plus, you’ll often get a higher quality product than what you could buy in stores for a fraction of the price.
Every woodworker has different skills and experience, so we recommend asking the following questions when hiring a woodworker for your project:
How long have you been in the woodworking industry?
What experience do you have with my type of project?
Do you have customer references I can speak with?
How long do you expect my project to take?
What is my recourse if I have an issue with your work?
Do you charge hourly or per project?
Will you work on-site or in your own workshop?
Does your fee include the necessary post-job clean-up?
While they perform similar tasks, a carpenter is responsible for the woodworking that goes into construction—like framing, installing sheathing, and hanging kitchen cabinets—while a woodworker tackles more intricate and custom projects—like building custom furniture and installing wainscoting. Based on these definitions, most woodworkers can tackle the jobs of a carpenter, but you should always ask about your specific project when choosing a woodworker to ensure they have the necessary skills to tackle the job.
It may seem simple to install trim, wainscoting, and other finishing wood in your home, but the work is complicated and often frustrating. Getting small trim pieces to line up evenly without gaps and look streamlined in a finished product is a real challenge for DIYers, even if you have the necessary tools. We recommend hiring a professional woodworker for these more intricate projects. They’ll get the job done more quickly, and they’ll have the experience necessary to make everything look neat and clean to add more value to your home.
