John the Repair Man

He has done a lot of work for me and does good work. On April 1st, I heard what appeared to be gnawing sound coming from my attic. I called him that Sunday morning and he came out. He thought it might be raccoons or squirrels. He said he could repair the opening or whatever roof damage there was and I trusted him because he has done a lot of work for me. He said that I had to give him $125 down today to buy the materials, but that he would start at a later undisclosed date. He told me he did not have a lot of work to do this week and that this week would be a good time. I paid him for the materials. On Tuesday John still had not scheduled an appointment yet and I heard the gnawing again, so I called a pest control company. They came out and found there were squirrels in my roof that were getting in through an opening. They said the cost would cover capturing the squirrels and repairing the damages in the attic that they caused. We scheduled for them to come back Thursday. I called John the Repair Man to get my down payment back and told him that I no longer needed his services as the pest control company was going to do all of the work instead of just repairing the hole. John got very upset and used profanity with me. I understand that he charges a $50 service fee and I only requested my $75 back. He was angry, but said he would give me my money back that Friday. Friday came and went and he then said he would get it to me on Monday. He still has not got my money back to me and all I am requesting is to have my $75 returned back to me. I even said to him that I would come to pick my money up, but I still have not received it. I would not hire him again or recommend his services.
