Description of Work: I purchased Angie's List Big Deal to stain a 250 sq ft deck for $329. My deck is 400 sq ft plus steps and lattice, so my total was $605 (plus I provided the stain). I was very pleased with the responsiveness and results. I purchased the deal and got an estimate on a Wednesday, they pressure washed on Thursday, and applied the stain on the following Tuesday. The crew did a good job of masking, staining and cleaning up. I will use their services again.

Description of Work: The Deck Doctor powerwashed and stained my deck and did a really great job! Easy to get in contact with, professional, all around great experience!

Description of Work: Originally paid for $200 deck waterproofing, but die to size of our deck and change over to stain (instead of waterproofing) price went up to just under $600. First phase a gentlemen was sent out to clean the deck; then two painters came out to apply the semi transparent stain. All 3 were very polite and hard working. The overall price was amazing and I would definitely hire them again.

Description of Work: Originally bought deck refinish package thru Angie's list for $199. Our deck is of decent size, but not overly large. By the time they came out and looked at it, cost was more like $500+. Hey, I understand there's an extra here or there...but from $199 to $500+ for the basic job? Too many exceptions and "not included" in the deal price to make it legitimate. But now, I've already paid Angie's List - so I'm stuck. | |Project took over a month from start to finish. Not all their fault; weather in May was lousy. Also, some additional deck repairs were needed, and they did a great job on that. | |Good points: Repairs were handled very well. Turns out the cedar lumber in the deck was an odd size - they had the repair pieces specially milled from a source an hour away and took care of that seamlessly. Deck looks great once it was done. | |Bad points: Original deal not close to a realistic price. Took a long time to complete. Left cut-up old lumber there for almost two weeks. Left all deck furniture and grill in the back yard. Oversprayed new finish on siding and wood house trim (they came out and fixed it, but I had to call them to do that and remove the wood too). | |Repairs needed were an additional $500. No problem with that - deck is 17 years old and needed it.

Description of Work: Hired to power wash and paint my outdoor deck. During power wash they washed the side of my house (unannounced) stripping a cedar shingle from the back of my house. This was later not reinstalled. They spray painted the deck but did a poor job of covering the side of the house with paper and moving my deck furniture. This resulted in parts of the side of my house getting sprayed and my deck furniture getting wind sprayed. This wouldn't have been a problem if I was just painting it the same color but I was changing the color from a brown to a dark red so all of their mistakes were noticeable. It was clear that they were rushed to get to another job site. I was told to contact the owner but then I never received a response back. It is apparent that they have a lot of other work and little interest in providing quality service or making things right with their customers.
