Terry arranged to come by and estimate the job the day after we called him. We agreed to have him do the work and the member of his company came and spent an entire very long day doing the work very well indeed. He brought his own power washer, soap, and stripping chemicals, and cleaned up well once he was finished.

overall, a very nice job. the work was performed in two shifts. the first was the power wash which could have been a bit better as some loose stain remained on the boards. as a result, the second shift which came a week later had to do more sanding than expected. the crews brought their own materials and also provided their contractor discount that enabled me buying stain that matched the original color. since the deck was larger than what the package allowed, a prorated increase in price was required which was explained when purchased.

Terrible. Communication was terrible. I purchased this from Angie's List in April 2016 - and there was no communication until June. They only contacted us after I sent in an email complaint to Angie's List. Called in the morning and told us they would be there to power wash in the afternoon. Called another morning and told us they would be there to stain the deck in the afternoon - no appointment and we were not home. 2 young kids sprayed the deck as well as the shrubs around it and all the stones underneath the deck. Would not recommend.

I bought a coupon for $399 for 3 rooms of interior painting. The rooms were larger than the coupon was for so I paid an additional $200. The 2 men started around noon and worked until the project was complete at 8:00 pm. It was great that they were willing to stay until it was finished, and they cleaned up after themselves which was appreciated.

It went well. We had Deck Doctor replace 1 1 boards, as well as power wash and stain the deck. They did a great job on the deck. It looks very nice and the quality of work was great. We would have preferred more notice of when they were coming, the estimate did not accurately represent the number of boards that needed to be replaced, and at times, it was difficult to get in touch with the company, but we are very pleased with the work they did and the pricing was fair.

They did an excellent job. They cleaned up after themselves along with being polite and thorough.

WARNING! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! THEY WILL DESTROY YOUR DECK AND ANYTHING THAT SURROUNDS THE AREA!!!! This company was very unprofessional and ruined not only our deck, but a beautiful hand crafted wood picnic table that we got the year we moved into our house. First off, Terry Betts was over an hour late to give us a quote. We didn't think he would show so we began eating. He interrupted our dinner and never even apologized. Weeks later, I came home from work to see an unfamiliar truck parked in our driveway and blocking me from parking in our garage. I called my husband at work and he said no one had called him to say they were coming by today. He assumed it was the guys for the deck... I went inside my house and they were outside power washing. I assumed they would come knock on the door before leaving since they clearly could see someone was home, but NO, they just left! When they were gone, I went to go look to see how the deck looked and was horrified to see that they did not even move our picnic table off of our deck. They also just blasted it with the power washer. It took ALL the stain off of our previously beautiful table! My husband called to tell them they needed to now re-stain our picnic table. Terry did apologize and said he would have them correct the problem and stain the table. Second visit, again, no call ahead to say they were coming that day... got home from work as they were in the process of staining. I could hear the men swearing as they were spraying the deck. Again, they could see someone was home but NEVER knocked on the door to tell us they were finished and to take a look. The deck stain did NOT look good, we thought maybe it needed to dry a bit more so we waited. It still did not look any better days later and they did not repair the loose boards. Our picnic table looked AWFUL!! It was now splotchy with blobs of dark stain (originally it was stained by hand with a light semi-gloss so you could see the beautiful wood work). I was beyond upset about this table, as it was a dear memory of us moving into our first house. My husband called the company again to report our concerns with the stain on the deck AND the picnic table. The man said he would send someone out to do some "touch ups" when they were in the area. Months later, they NEVER came back! Also, the clean up was horrible, they left green masking tape all around our house. We have a screened in porch off of our deck...they didn't cover the screens well enough so that now all of our screen doors have stain on them and need replaced too. This company also used a completely different stain than we had discussed. It is written on the quote they were to use Olympic or Behr toner....they used a product (Cabot) that we now have found out was discontinued months ago!! Great! Now we can't even try to fix the stain ourselves without trying to mix and match because they don't even make this product anymore! We then spent money on a chemical to try to strip the stain off of our once beautiful picnic table. It ate the table and now has to be re-sanded and not so sure it can ever be back to its original state! We paid $800 for this company to make a mess and create more work for us as we continue to spend more money to try to make things look decent again. Initial scheduling was a bit delayed, but once I was in contact with the owner, he had someone out within a couple of days. This was particularly surprising considering we were coming on the July 4 holiday weekend. The house looked great, and when he was done, the worker pointed out a couple of spots where our gutters were stained, that he was unable to correct. I would absolutely hire this company again. A fair price for a great service.

Company did a great job, everything looks really nice. No problems, happy with services provided.

The workers that were here were great. We signed the contract on April 25 but the work didn't start until June 8.

There was no additional cost to the big deal price. I don't have a problem with the people they sent. However, the owners weren't very organized. My experience could be made better if they were more organized. I had a problem with the responsiveness.

Nice job. Only reason I marked them down on professionalism was there was a long delay in receiving their bill.

erIt went very smoothly. The two gentlemen arrived on and did an exceptional job.. When they were finished, the cleaned up everything, including the mirror on the wall. I would definitely ask them back and refer to my friends as well. Thank you Deck Doctors!

Deck Doctor returned to redo and complete the prior work done. The two gentlemen that were here were very professional.. Things could not have gone smoother. I'd say they went above and beyond just painting a room. They made certain everything was smoothed out and all nicks and nail holes were filled. I am very satisfied.

The two painters arrived promptly and started the job in a professional manner. I was pleased with painting but they neglected to fill in small nail holes as detailed in the agreement.

Power wash went fine but they killed all my plants around the deck.

He responded promptly to our request for estimates, arrived on time, assessed our situations quickly, and gave us estimates on the spot. His prices are good, and he explained the background and experience of his workers and company. He is very personable and demonstrates a good work ethic. We decided to go with another company this time, but would possibly use him in the future.

It was less than average. I had to pay extra because I added up a part of the deck. There were too many parts of the deck that were hardly covered. There were some parts of the deck that were fine and then other parts of the deck that were very, very lightly covered. So it was probably done very quickly.

We scheduled the work within 24 hours of the deal purchase, and I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly Terry said the work could be done. During the initial scheduling appointment I shared that there were vaulted ceilings in one of the bedrooms, and agreed that there would be an additional charge for the work. I also shared that two of the rooms were going to have bright paint applied to the walls, and one of the rooms would be covering an existing bright paint. .The Sunday prior to the work being done, I was called mid-day about the job, and we re-hashed the paint color issue. I did not mention again that one of the ceilings was vaulted. We agreed that he would arrive between 10a and 11a the next morning. After 11a the next day I was contacted again and was told he would not arrive until closer to 1pm. When he arrived and looked at the rooms, he realized that he did not have the right ladder for the room with the vaulted ceiling, and immediately determined that he would have to come back for a second day. He tried one coat of both bright colors in each room, and determined that he would have to do a primer coat and then do three coats in both of those rooms. He worked alone very late into the evening on Monday, and before he left he said he'd be back at some point on Tuesday, and was going to see if he could get more personnel. On Tuesday I called him very late morning, and he said he'd have someone to the house by 2pm. That crew arrived on time, and worked until almost 8pm that evening to finish all three rooms. All told I am very happy with the work that was done, and I understand that it is very difficult to assess sight unseen the size of a project. But I was disappointed with the start times on both days, and I was disappointed that it took longer for the two bright rooms because he chose not to just immediately prime the walls.

To be honest I was a bit unsure that a company named the Deck Doctor could be a good interior painter as well. To put it mildly they were great. They were obviously well experienced, professional and personable. They explained the job and completed it in a reasonable amount of time. After I had bought the Angie's list deal I realized that some of the trim needed to be painted as well. One window that was behind blinds had been replaced several years ago and although the exterior was primed and painted the interior was still raw wood. They went out and bought trim paint to match the rest of the room and painted the two windows They moved the furniture and replaced it exactly where it came from. The room looks fine.. They were even accommodating when I needed to change the date at the last minute. When I asked, What do i owe for the extra work they said, Whatever you think is fair. I would definitively hire them again.

The crew was professional and did a great job. Although the price was a little high, it was not unreasonable for all that they did and I was definitely pleased with the results. I would hire Deck Doctor's again.

They worked hard for two days and cleaned up nicely. They got a few smudges of paint on one sliding door (I didn't see it until after they'd left) but they did willingly clean up all the things I asked them too while they were still there. Very fair pricing and workers were friendly and respectful.
