He came out and gave me a quote. He also offered to trim this other little tree. He was knowledgeable. If I had some questions about how to prune, he seemed knowledgeable about that. When they came out, they cleaned up everything. I would use them in the future.

The guys were very knowledgable about trees and honest. Had them take a look at a tree in the backyard and they said no need to cut it down anytime soon. But, likely it would end up dying off and would need to come down in the next year or two.

Although slightly out of his service area, during a time when he had a few minor equipment problems Tom was able to quickly give me a very reasonable estimate for the amount of service needed. He went out of his way to keep me informed on exactly when work was going to be done. He kept his word and was responsive and punctual and had the job completed quickly at a low price. T & K's estimate was the lowest and included the most tree cutting.

After the tree was trimmed and T and K was finishing up, I went into my backyard. Imagine my surprise at finding my large concrete statue of a heron lying on the ground. The statue had been standing in my backyard flowerbed next to the fence under the spread of the tree that was trimmed. That statue weighs at least 150 lbs and is about 4 ft. tall. Originally, it took two men to place it there. It has a large crack in the neck area and I wouldn't dream of moving it for fear that the head would break off. Alarmed that T and K had knocked the statue over, I approached the workers and asked what happened. They told me they had placed it like that. They must have feared that branches would fall in my yard. One of the workers said he would set the statue back up. I wonder if it would have been done had I not complained. As the worker lifted it, I discovered it had been lain on a clump of daffodils that were just about to bloom, crushing them. The worker stepped on another clump when he lifted the statue. I had to direct him to position the statue the way it was originally. After T and K left, I discovered they had pulled out two sections of my decorative metal garden fence from a flowerbed in my side yard that is also shaded by the neighbors tree. The fencing was tossed in the flowerbed, crushing two more clumps of daffodils. When I attempted to put the garden fencing back in place, I discovered one section was bent and another was broken. In addition, my sand cherry bush had a least a dozen small branches broken and still hanging on the shrub. This damage must have been done when they used the bucket truck. In all, I was disgusted with T and K 's treatment of my property. I couldn't believe they entered my fenced yard to lay down a heavy, expensive statue without asking my permission and their blatant disregard for my landscaping. Allowing them permission to put plywood over my lawn did not mean they could trample my flowers and damage my decorative fence. The least they could have done was to prune the broken branches off my sand cherry.

We did not use his service this time, but will definitely consider him in the future.

I couldn't be happier, I called, we met the next business day, was given an estimate, and worked out a deal. Now, the next day, the problem is gone, yard cleaned up, all in all, a great experience. I will do more business with them in the future, with me doing the trimming, and them doing the chipping/disposal, stump grinding. This tree was beyond my limits, you know you gotta your limits ! T&K is an easy to work with bunch of guy's, who do an honest job, put it in writing, and show up, no excuses. Good job guy's ! And it's no wonder their a A rated business

This guy was great. He responded quickly to my phone call and gave me a decent estimate two days after I called. This was after Sandy knocked down an enormous pine tree in my backyard. The estimate was $400 less than the first estimate I received from another commpany. My tree fell partially into my neighbor's yard, however and my neighbor had already hired a tree service. I told her I would take care of the whole thing but she insisted she was responsible for the part of the tree on her property. So we shared the cost of her contractor, which was less expensive for me than T&K, but only because I was paying for half the job! I would definitely consider T&K for any future jobs.

They were on time, courteous, neat and professional. Their price was very reasonalbe. Other tree services on Angie's List quoted twice as much.

Called about estimate for tree trimming. Promptly came out & gave me a good estimate, trimmed 5 trees, did clean-up. Trees look great. Crew very professional.

From the time of estimation Tom was very informative and answered all my questions. We had to get our tree down as fast as possible because it was in the way of another project we had started. He came out the following week 15 minutes before his actual 'start' time. The whole crew was great. They were efficient, safe, and very friendly. My husband and I were very pleased with the results. We would definitely call them again if we get more trees cut down.

We previously hired T& K Tree Service to remove a handful of trees from our yard in 2011. We were very satisfied with their work, so we contacted them again this spring for an estimate. Tom is very knowledgeable about trees and helped us identify which ones were affected by Emerald Ash Borer. We initially hired Tom to remove 5 of the dead trees, and then called him back a week later to remove the remaining 7. T & K was very reasonably priced, especially considering the number of trees that had to be removed and their height and location. Our neighbors have received estimates from other tree removal companies that far exceed T & K's prices. T & K did an amazing job at removing the trees quickly and cleanly. Tom and his workers are extremely courteous and professional. They even helped us save a squirrel's nest from a hollowed tree by carefully chopping the tree in very small sections so as to not harm the squirrels. The baby squirrels were saved and taken to a wildlife rehabilitation facility. We strongly recommend T & K Tree Service to anyone, and we will be calling Tom again this fall to have the last of the Emerald Ash Borer trees removed.

Everything went well. Tom Kapantas showed up when he said he would. It was easy to schedule. He spent more time evaluating how he would get the tree around the wires than other contractors had. Wood was removed as promised and everything was cleaned up. He seems very knowledgable and experienced about tree removal.

Tom came out right away to do the estimate, ultimately he was higher priced than other quotes we received.

They came out and made an estimate and we accepted that estimate. There were problems with them getting here only because there were thunder storms every time they were scheduled.

The job went beautifully from start to finish. Called in the morning and left message. The owner returned the call by noon and arranged to stop by later that afternoon. When he arrived, he examined the tree and gave a very fair written estimate on the spot. After reviewing his schedule, he was able to fit the job in the following morning. The crew arrived right on time and finished their work very quickly. Everything was cleaned up before they left. Would definitely use them again if I need any other similar work done.

Tom from T&K came to my home within a few hours after my call to give me an estimate. Over the next week, we discussed what I wanted done & the price. We scheduled the work for Wed., Nov. 19th, however the weather(snow)closed in. We agreed to postpone the the job until the weather permits.

The service went very well. They dropped the tree right where they said they would. They did a very nice job. They also cleaned up very well after. Their price was fair; and they came exactly when they said they would. They were very competent and pleasant to work with.

Tom and his crew arrived as scheduled and took down the large tree. They cut me firewood that I had requested and since I said they could leave the rest of the wood near the street for anyone to take, they neatly stacked the rest of the wood along my street. The stump grinder came as scheduled that day and ground the main stump as well as 2 others in the same location. After examining the white pine that was leaning, Tom suggested staking it instead of cutting it down. He and one of his workers straighten the tree and tied it so that it could be staked. This was a better option than cutting it down and I'm glad he suggested that option. Tom and his crew were friendly and I felt comfortable having them on my property.
