Weather pushed the pour onto a day that was bad for me because I couldn’t be here to oversee the work as it was being done. Fortunately Steve did everything we had agreed on and a little more, And the work is beautiful! He covered it for cold temps and left them on an extra day. I’m 74 years old and this is the best work I’ve ever seen. I critique honestly and completely, ant it’s a pleasure to be able to write this kind of review.

Wonderful - Bella was prompt, professional, and they did a beautiful job on the driveway and stamping of our stoop and steps! We had 6 estimates all ranged within $1500 we checked the work of others and came back to Bella. Great experience.

Bella Cement was one of four companies we got quotes from for this job (cost was similar across all four). Although we didn't choose Bella this time, they have gotten good reviews on Angie's list, so I would feel confident in considering them for work of this type in the future.

Steve and his employees showed up on time to remove our old brick and sand patio and replace it with a new 20 x 20 concrete pad. Hauled all the old materials away and excavated the area, added and tamped the stone base and reinforcement wire. The new pad was poured in the afternoon, has a natural beige dry added to it. We decided not to have it stamped, although we have seen several of their jobs where this was expertly done. Added blocks along sides for boarders and sealed the surface the next day. It has been two years since this work was completed, and it still looks great. It only cracked as expected in the groves for this purpose. We sealed it as recommended before the first winter. Looks great! Steve and his crew have a great work ethic and I would recommend them to friends, family and others. Steve always returned my calls promptly and courteously.

These guys were awesome. Showed up early and on time. Very polite, friendly, good eye contact, no swearing, and professional. They needed a buggy to run the concrete into our back yard to fill the shed floor. They laid down more than enough 4'x6' sheets of plywood to run their equipment on so no landscape was damaged. Job was done quickly and efficiently. The ramps were awesome and perfect! The City came out to check on their work and we passed with flying colors. We would highly recommend them again and plan on using them for another project.

Steve and his crew were excellent. The estimate was given in a timely manner and the work started approximately three weeks later, based on weather conditions in the spring. The work was very professionally done and we are very pleased with the results.

We were pleased with the fact that their crew arrived on time and got the job done in a timely fashion. The crew was very nice and did not leave a mess in our yard, which we appreciated. However, immediately we noticed a big blotch in the newly poured concrete. Steve came out a couple days later and looked at it; he said you just have to give it 90 days to completely dry. We waited and that spot never went away. Additionally, the concrete had a splotchy appearance in places. As more time went on, the flaw that had been there since day one started to chip away. Steve did come by and remove part of that section of concrete and patched it. I expressed concern with the appearance of the driveway (as the color was in no way uniform) and he told me it would just take time to look better. He also assured me the patch he did would hold up fine. A year later the patch he'd done started to chip away again. He came out and did another patch and said it would blend right in. To make a long story short, here I am less than two years after having this work done, and that splotch doesn't match my driveway in any way. It's very noticeable and looks almost like the driveway has been colored or painted in that spot. Now the rest of the concrete they replaced is pitted and chipping away. Its basically falling apart. I have spoken with Steve and he has assured me that it's not his fault. He has given me a number of excuses as to why this happened but does not seem interested in making it right. What I really don't appreciate is being told it is our fault how the driveway turned out, considering you could see most of the problems even before the crew left. How could that be our fault? Very disappointed with my crumbling driveway and the fact that the owner will not make this right, as he told me he would two years ago. *****UPDATE***** As of June 6, 2014, no resolution to this problem even though I was told by Steve himself that if I wasn't happy with the work, he would come over and repour the two squares of the driveway. My entire driveway (which is 13 years old) went through this winter and every other winter with NO damage. and has NEVER been sealed. The only concrete that is falling apart are the two squares that Bella Concrete replaced. I have been told by another company that this chipping is NOT normal for two year old concrete, yet Steve insists it is our fault for not doing proper maintenance on the driveway. The blotchiness was present from the very first day he poured the steps and the driveway as was the flaw in the concrete. Sealer would have made NO difference. Still seeking resolution of this problem that doesn't involve me having to pay twice for work that should have been right the first time, but all I keep getting is blamed for causing the problem. The sections Bella did continue to chip away. Please don't use this company if you want decent work done.

Steve returned my call right away, and as soon as I started describing the job I needed done, he let me know that it could be expensive because it would require all manual labor. The old concrete would have to be bucket carried up the basement stairs, as well as the new cement brought down the same way. Plus, a concrete saw could not be used to break up the old floor, because of the fumes that would fill the house. I said I understood that it would cost more because of the nature of the job. Steve came out and gave me a written estimate on 7/8, which included replacing a 5' x 20' section of my basement floor, replacing my back steps and sidewalk along the house, and cutting and pouring 3 parts of my existing driveway. Considering the nature of the job, I thought his quote was more than reasonable. He told me he would be able to get to the job during the last 2 weeks of August because they were already scheduled out that far. True to his word, he called me in mid August and scheduled the job for the third week of August. They arrived at 8am the morning of Aug 20th, and set right to work on the basement floor. Luckily, Steve was right about what we would find under the old concrete - just dry dirt. Steve worked along with his workers all day, as well as providing them with direction on how and what to do. They completed the whole job - inside and out - in about 7 hours. I am extremely pleased with the quality and job performance. Steve took on a job that I don't think other large contractors would have even considered. I can't express how lucky I feel to have found Steve and his company to perform the work.

Bella Concrete did an excellent job for us replacing our driveway and one of the sidewalk slabs. Owner Steve was very professional and he was "hands on" for the job. I appreciated their care in "saving" the sod that lined both sides of the concrete work, so that I could replace it when the job was finished ... that saved me the trouble of re-growing grass in those areas. Bella Concrete is an excellent company, we highly recommend them.

Steve called me a week before the work was to be done which I greatly appreciated. He and his crew arrived on the appointed day and immediately got to work. they worked about 10 hours the first day getting rid of the old concrete and digging for new footers. They also prepared a small area outside for new concrete. That afternoon the footers and new slab outside were poured. The next day, the rest of the job was finished. Steve installed the new 2x4 on top of the concrete that would support the wall studs as the previous wood had all rotted. His crew was very nice and very efficient. The only break they took was for lunch. They were careful about the room itself (windows could have easily been broken if care wasn't taken). Everything went very well and I was pleased with the work. I had a couple of small issues after the job and Steve came out immediately and addressed the issues to my satisfaction. Steve is a small business owner so he takes care to treat his customers as he would want to be treated. He is very responsive to phone calls and gives estimates in a timely manner. I appreciated that he gave me a week notice before the work was done. His crew is very nice and I felt very comfortable having them around. Overall it was a very good experience. The concrete looked good so I am happy with that. I did not get other estimates so I can't compare prices but I do know that it was very labor intensive since no machinery could be used inside. I would recommend Bella Cement for your concrete needs.

They are very polite, neat and clean. When I wanted the pathway to have a different curve they changed it. They were polite about it. I think the price is reasonable. The work is really beautiful.
