Rons Electrical Service

Ron rewired half of our house to replace all of the old knob and tube wiring. He replaced eight ceiling light fixtures and rewired about two dozen outlets and lights. He did this without cutting hardly any holes in our drywall, minimizing patches. Instead of cutting numerous holes, he took the extra time and trouble to fish new wires from the basement and attic (which had 16" of blown insulation that he had to wade through.) When he had to do extra work, he communicated the need and the cost ahead of time. He immediately came and finished up one outdoor outlet that he had missed. He cleaned up after himself and did no unnecessary damage. All throughout, Ron was pleasant and cheerful and described everything he was planning to do in detail. His fee was very reasonable and competitive. We will certainly hire him again for future electrical work.

Ron was very good - completing all work in a timely manner, ensuring that everything worked correctly and cleaning up after the work. This is the third time I have had Ron do small electrical work, both inside and outside the house, and he has always done a good job.

The work he did was great. He was able to fix the disaster of electrical work the previous owner had done, install new outlets and safely rewire everything so that I can have a usable and safe kitchen. Very happy with the work done and the fact that he took the time to explain things and answer any questions I had. Good work and good pricing. I have already recommended Ron to 3 of my neighbors for the work they need to have done. :) & we will be using again for future electrical work.

I called the owner to get an estimate for multiple electrical items that I needed done. I was available during the daytime but we discussed various times and we decided on 6:30 pm on Monday the following week. I live an hour away from this house, and was going to meet him there to review what needed to be done. He did not arrive or call and never showed up. Once I got home and called him, he stated that he did not have my number and that he was still working on a job and was not sure if he was even going to come. Now, we had an appointment and and just not showing up or calling definitely makes me question his work and business ethic. I would not recommend him. I am too busy to have someone waste my time by not showing up or calling.

Excellent. Ron does great work, is readily available, and all at an excellent price. I have hired him several times and never bothered to ask for a quote after the first appointment because I know he is honest and it will be good. I have shared Ron's contact info with my office and friends in the area because I know they will thank me later.

Ron made an initial assessment visit and a subsequent installation visit. The installation took about 5 hours. We are very pleased with the results. Moreover, Ron is very personable, easy to work with, and seems very knowledgeable about his work. I highly recommend him.

Ron is professional, prompt, thorough, and nice. Takes the time to explain things to the customer. He rerouted our electric and cable in our family room from the standard wall location to above the fireplace so we could mount a flat panel TV. Very challenging job but he accomplished it with no problems. Even helped with the installation of the TV.

We were having difficulty finding a local electrician who seemed interested in doing the multitude of electrical work for our addition. Most quoted very high and gave sketchy quotes, or simply provided a number over the phone. We found Ron's Electrical Services on Angie's List and contacted him. (He had received good reviews, which was important to us.) He responded quickly and came out to review the jobsite and the blueprints. It was evident by the questions he asked and the suggestions he made that Ron knew his business. He put his detailed quote together and got it to us within three days (on a Saturday). Since he could begin the job the immediately and because we were impressed with his knowledge, we hired him even though we felt his price was high. In all fairness, it has been some time since we had any construction work done, so perhaps we were not familiar with current costs. Within three days, Ron had everything ready for the rough wiring inspection, and it was approved that day. Ron also was quite professional, and continued his work over the next several weeks, fitting his work in as the other contractors got areas ready for him to work. Among the jobs completed were the complete new wiring for the addition; connecting the furnace, two air conditioners and a whole-house generator; installing light fixtures, ceiling and exhaust fans, numerous outlet boxes (both indoors and outdoors) and electrical switches; exterior flood lights, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors both on the first floor and in the basement; plus TV and phone connections; and, of course, fitting everything into the electrical breaker box. He passed final inspection and even made sure the new TV worked properly before he declared his job finished. Ron was professional and friendly, and we enjoyed chatting with him occasionally as he completed his work. We would definitely recommend Ron's Electrical Services and would use his services again ourselves.

Ron arrived on the day he said he would be there. Everything went smoothly and the work was done just as we asked. We have used Ron's services in the past and will use them again in the future.

Job went very well. The kitchen is now well lite and the wife is very happy. The three accent lights in the family room near the fireplace made a huge difference in the look of the room. Nice job Ron

Josh did a great job installing a new fan within an hour plus wired live exposed wires.

Ron was on time and installed all of the wiring, ceiling fan box, and full installation in a few hours. He was very friendly and did a very good job. Will plan to use him for future jobs.

Ron was very professional. He scheduled an appointment for the next day and was very prompt. He was very thorough and not only found the problem and fixed it but also corrected some sloppy electrical work he found as he was looking for the problem (home was built in 2008 and builder did the minimum to meet code, which is why there was a problem to begin with). I will definitely use Ron for any future electrical work.

Placed call to Ron and set up a day for him to install lights. He arrived on time and explained what he was going to do. Lights were installed, areas were cleaned up and the lights look great. Excellent price for the work he did. On another note. Ron's a very polite, easy going and profession person. He's like having a buddy you've know for a long time. His work and knowledge of what he's doing is why I have continued to use him for other electrical projects. This particular time Ron didnt end up doing any work for us. He did much work for us at our last residence, repairing code violations and installing a new main breaker panel. Based on the high quality work performed at what we considered a very reasonable price, we again hired Ron for electrical work at the new place. He installed ceiling fans, bathroom exhaust fans, outlets and an exterior motion detector light. While he was installing the bathroom exhaust fans, he informed us that the duct work up to the roof vents was below par. He then replaced said duct work. Ron also installed additional cable tv coaxial cable in attic for us and made drops into rooms. All work was done to the highest standards at a reasonable price. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Ron again, and highly recommend him to anyone needing electrical work done.

I had four other electricians come out and give me estimates on this job that ranged from $400-$900 and included huge tasks (i.e. accessing the ceiling from pulling back the carpeting from the 2nd floor bedroom, to drilling up from the basement to the first floor, etc.). When Ron came out and quoted the job for $250 for a few hours of labor, I was shocked and initially questioned that he understood what I wanted because it was so different from the other estimates. But he used common sense and figured out the direction of the joists and then accessed the electric from an outlet that was already tied in to the wall switch. In hindsight, it was such a basic remedy, but honestly, Ron was the first one to approach it this way. He actually came out during the evening to accommodate our schedule and knew what he was doing. He even had a spare part in his truck that was needed to hang the chandelier. I would DEFINITELY use Ron again, and I'm so appreciative of his talents in getting this job done in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Thanks, Ron!

Responsive quality work and very professional and friendly service

This breaker box has always been an eye sore in my dining room where it was positioned. The other side of the dining room is a hallway and garage and I couldn't understand why it couldn't be turned around and accessed on the other side. I asked him to come in and take a look to see if it could be done. He came in, said it could be done for a reasonable fee, and he did it. Also had him take a look at my electrical needs and update whatever was needed, which he did. I felt he was honest and fair. I don't hesitate to refer him to anyone looking for electrical work to be done.

The work area was challenging but Ron figured out the best way to approached the task and changed out the chandelier. The new chandelier was also challenging as to the design of the mount but again he got the task at hand completed He did excellent work and left the area clean and orderly.

He did an excellent job, everything turned out very good and I would definitely recommend him.

Ron has done great work for us in the past, but this was our biggest job for him yet. The placement of the in-wall speakers was tricky with built-in cabinets, ductwork, and walls to work around, but Ron did a great job. The LED lights in the cabinets look fantastic, and my children love using the remotes to create just the right atmosphere. Ron really worked with me on the heights (and direction) of the chandeliers, including the two-story one, to make sure that they hung just right. They look beautiful! Ron is very easy to work with and does high-quality work. We will continue to use him for any future electrical work.
