Dave was excellent. He arrived early to the 8am inspection, gave us multiple updates on his findings during the inspection, and answered all of our questions. At the end of the inspection, he summarized the major findings, and promised to send his report same-day (a promise he kept by sending us the report before 1:00pm). At one point, he even lent us his binoculars to view an issue with the chimney through our own eyes. We were really impressed with the thoroughness of his inspection. In addition to his extensive knowledge and issue-spotting skills, Dave is an all-around good guy. He lightened the mood with a funny story (as home inspections can be overwhelming for first-time buyers), and he dealt tactfully and calmly with the seller (who was still present when the inspection began and ended up interrupting the radon test by opening a window). We would recommend Dave to any buyers in the area as one of the best home inspectors you will find.

Dave was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He pointed out deficiencies as well as assets in the structure. At no time did he try to influence us into doing more inspections than requested. Would definitely use and recommend him again.

David Christopher is excellent at his job. He came out early (before I even arrived) to start a home inspection on a new house I was contracted to purchase. Throughout the entire home inspection, he carefully works through the entire house inside and out. I appreciated that he went slowly and explained EVERYTHING. He showed me how some things worked and found items on the inspection I would never have thought such as: 1. Drywall dust coating the inside of the furnace. 2. Small gaps in the siding and underneath the eaves where moisture or insects could get in causing damage. 3. He also found that some of the pipes on the water tank where not graded for the temperatures listed. 4. Finally he found one of the external windows was not filled with the correct sealant and would surely lead to cracking down the road. We spent a solid three hours checking everything inside and out. The entire time David was friendly and upbeat telling some cautionary tales about problems that can occur if not fixed right away. He also provided suggestions on things which were not violation, but would be good to do as a preventative measure. He was a pleasure to work with and I would gladly use him again for all home/radon/wood pest inspection needs.

Dave was awesome! He knew a great deal about houses. Dave did a good job explaining everything. He provided a thorough report with PICTURES within a few hours after the inspection. He was also available for additional questions later that day after completing the inspection. I would recommend this company to all my friends and family members.

Provided a comprehensive home review. This is my third home purchase and Dave provided the best inspection of the three. Would highly recommend.

The inspector was on time, had all of the paper documents in order, presented himself professionally, spoke in discrete and measured descriptions about his findings. The inspection was completed within an hour and he was off. He pointed out many obvious and trivial conditions that in some manner could be said to be problematic or just notable to a novice home buyer, or someone with little experience with the characteristics of a house. For example, he pointed out that the box-like device in the garage was the gas meter and demonstrated how the meter could shut off the gas line, should that be desired. Also what the electrical distribution and breaker panel was. He seemed to emphasize safety matters more than structural or functional concerns. A couple of matters just seemed not credible, such as he refused to test the functionality of a water line ball valve, saying there was a 50% chance the valve would blow out if he moved it, and it looked perfectly normal and in good condition to me and has since been used perfectly well. Guess I lucked out. He pointed out how, if a child sat on the open oven door, with hot food and cookware, the child could be in danger, but he did not discover a jimmied connection that proved to have been a loosely crimped lug that had apparently been arching since the range had been manufactured, producing enough heat to make the bakelite terminal block turn dull and brittle over the years and had even a lug connector location completely broken off from the brittle condition, whereafter some hack had taped it back together. And this is particularly remarkable, because bakelite is used in these conditions because it is known as being heat resistant and always stays shiny when it is in good condition. So the arching was producing a lot of heat, potentially a fire hazard and wasting a lot of electricity. It was right there and if he had been knowledgeable or observant after pulling out the range for inspection. Behind the range was also a 115 V wall outlet that was not GFCI protected, which is a clear violation of the NEC rules for any kitchen food prep location. I thought I was buying a house I could just move into and live in it. Since moving in, I have discovered problem after problem, most of which I would have expected a $340 inspection from a highly rated Angie reference to have known about and pointed out. Now, I am sitting on project after project, expense after expense that will last months or years into the future--problems I expected not to have. However, it is possible my standards are just higher and that others just let pass on the things I find unacceptable. Regardless, it seems that high or low standards should be a prior judgment to known problems before the house is purchased. Pretty much everybody knows that real estate is a caveat emptor experience, especially since the realtor officially serves the interests of the seller, whom they represent. Try to tip the odds in your favor by using an expensive inspector doesn't always work. What this guy has, is a knack for a personal demeanor and verbal style that gives the impression he is a sharp guy with a professionalism that surely must mean his work is good. He also acts with confidence and does have all of his business ducks in a row. It fooled me and it must fool a lot of other people, judging from his outstanding Angie rating. How many more one hour $340 inspections did he do on that day, raking in the money at some hefty sum, leaving the client standing there with a fist full of legalistic paper work that keeps him off the hook? He's got the gig down real good.

The inspection went very well. I met Dave (my inspector) at the inspection sight. I notified Dave of a major concern I had with the property. Dave assured me that he would take a close look. I had work commitments to fulfill, so was unable to stay for the inspection. Before leaving, Dave provided me with great home owners reference material. Later that evening Dave supplied a very detail inspection report with pictures and an easy to understand rating system, which ranked the severity of the elements inspected. Dave discovered some action items that I missed during my initial viewing of the property, which I greatly appreciated! I would highly recommend Integrity Home Evaluation Services.

The inspection with Dave was great. Right from the start, I felt very comfortable with him. He told us not to hesitate to ask any questions and he answered all of those questions in a way that was both informative and easy to understand. He was very thorough and based on his inspection, a house that we thought was perfect, turned out to not be the one for us. He saved us from a lot of heartache down the road. We received the inspection report less than 5 hours later that same day. It was incredibly detailed and simple to understand. At the end of our inspection, Dave even gave us gifts of a free home maintenance handbook and a membership to a housing repair site. We are still on the hunt for a home and will definitely work with Dave again.

It was a very in depth inspection with suggestions for repairs. I was able to make my decision to not make the purchase of the home due to structural damage found that would have exceeded my budget. Dave was very quick to respond to my phone call and very accommodating with the tight schedule we had to have the home inspection complete. I hired Dave for a home inspection based upon the recommendation of others on Angie's List. This is my first time buying a home and needed someone I could rely on to properly inform me to any possible issues with a property. Dave did an amazing job. He was on time meeting me at the property. He was very professional and knowledgeable and he knew how to explain it to me as a first time home buyer. He began with an inspection of the outside of the house, pointing out possible code violations and ways to fix them. As he went along, he explained what he was doing and why. He made me feel like I was part of the process and I was learning a lot about things to look for when purchasing a home. After the outside inspection was done, we moved inside where he continued to impress me with his knowledge and professionalism. He pointed out things that I never would have even known or thought of to look for (an anti-tip clip on the stove/range for example). When his inside inspection was over, he went over the findings with me, explaining what he found and why it should be changed. He took pictures and included them in his comprehensive report that he delivered to me later that day. Dave was extremely helpful in his advice on certain aspects of the report (meaning what is going to be a major issue and what are things that don't need to be fixed right away). After going over the report with me in person, he gave me a one year subscription to Home Owners Network, a service that helps to care for your home. Thanks to Dave's findings of issues that I myself missed, I decided not to buy the home. If I hadn't gotten the inspection done with him, I may have found myself dealing with some expensive repairs in the near future.

We had Dave come out and do two inspections on homes we were looking at buying. Not only was he friendly but he did a very thorough inspection. He explained everything he saw in details we could easily understand, he informed us about codes and any violations present, and was very honest about everything he saw. In the final report he had taken pictures of the things he saw which made for a very thorough and efficient report. We highly recommend his expertise.

Dave is great at what he does... he was on time and explained everything he was doing and what the results were as he inspected. We couldn't of asked for a better person to inspect or future home as there were alot of things we never heard of and he explained everything so that we can understand clearly. Dave also performed a radon test, which took 48 hours to complete. My test came back positive with an elevated level that would require mitigation. I was unable to meet him but my realtor let him in and he did his review of the property alone. Upon completion of the inspection, he walked us through his findings, taking me to the areas of greatest concern. During this time the seller's realtor arrived and so we reviewed his most serious findings for her so that she could have a conversation with her client. I got my report as promised and I have to say that this is the smartest money I have spent in the past five years. I feel confident that once repairs are made I am moving into a home that is safe and will give me the confidence I need. He is a gem.

Dave was an incredible inspector. He took the time to not only inspect the entire home, but also to point out routine maintenance that would be done, where things were located that I would look for in the future, and talk through everything he saw to make sure I knew exactly why he was putting what he was putting.
