Jeff Varney (company owner) and Jake T. installed a new garage door and opener for me on 01/10/2023. They arrived when scheduled and worked diligently until the job was completed. They cleaned up after themselves and I was completely satisfied with the job they did. As happy as I was with the installation, I was even happier with the sales process. Jeff made some excellent suggestions that went beyond just the door and opener. He suggested using larger radius tracks than are typically installed. I love the extra headroom I have when the door is open. He showed me photographic evidence of why I would be happier by using upgraded door trim handles rather than the default handles that come with the door. He was spot on again. Finally, he said that he could arrange to have the wooden door frame wrapped in aluminum if we wanted. I chose to do so. The look is fantastic, and I no longer have to worry about painting the original wooden trim. This company was great.

We worked with Automatic Garage Door several years ago. They install two new garage doors and one new motor. The products and services were first rate from start to finish. Recently we had them come and service the one old existing motor.

This was a horrific experience. I did not actually hire this company through Angi's List but rather got their number from a neighbor. The name of the company was the same as was the last name but the first name of who I was dealing with was Jim not Jeff. Jim came out and took a look while I was at work and quoted me 200.00 to fix which I thought was amazing at the time considering every other company was trying to sell me a whole new garage door for 2k. I told him to proceed with the repairs and that I would transfer the money through Venmo once complete and verified. Jim called again when the work was done and claimed he lost a 20.00 socket in my garage and was charging me 20.00 extra because it was too messy in their to find. That is absolutely not my problem if he dropped something and should be considered the cost of doing business. Jim saw the conditions inside the garage before he started and if it was something he did not want to mess with then he should have told me that from the start. My wife came home and took a video of the garage door which appeared to be closed and straight and just as I was about to transer the funds to Jim she open the door all the way up and went to close it and it got stuck and was all crooked again but worse then before the work was done. I have tried to call and text Jim every single day letting him know what happened and stating that if he came back out and fixed it properly for good I would be happy to pay him on the spot. Jim was not returned any of my phone calls or texts which is very odd because you would think he would want to get paid. Such behavior makes me think that he knew it was not going to stay fixed and was hoping I would pay him before I could verify the work and scam me for my money. Companies need to remember that reputation and how you treat your customers are way more important than skill or reasonable prices. The rule of thumb is for every negative review a company receives it will take 7 good reviews to undue the damage. I would strongly caution other people from using this company ever!

Great job. They arrived when they said, worked efficiently, cleaned up well, were courteous and cooperative. Would be great if all the tradesmen today were like them. Thanks so much for a job well done.

The tech took a look at everything, figured out what needed to be done and completed the work in a timely fashion. Very well. Met with Jeff a week prior to assess the situation, at no cost for the house call! A week later, he came to my house and replaced the motor and we briefly reviewed the various features. I am extremely pleased with the new motor and the entire process.

EXCELLENT! Called the evening it happened and they were out the next morning! Replaced both springs and corroded wind-up cables to be safe. Even fixed my missing obstruction sensors with some leftover parts Karl found in his new truck. (My dog tried to climb in and leave with him - she’s a good judge of character.)

Great! When I phoned, Monica was very helpful, patient, and knowledgeable in assisting me in choosing the right opener and Karl did a great job of installing the new garage door opener. He was both professional and personable and I’ve no hesitation in recommending the company.

Nate did a nice job. He was knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. He replaced the stop switch and did some greasing, etc. Was also having trouble with the remote, he checked it and did not pressure or sell me anything I didn't need. He also showed me somethings I didn't know or was aware of. The door is now quiet and runs smoothly, like it used to. The company kept me posted till Nates arrival, which was appreciated. I will definitely call them again when need.
