Flemings Lawn and Tree Service

Roger’s crew removed 4 very large bushes and 2 overgrown grasses around the deck. They were replaced with 3 Silver Maiden (Moring Light) grasses in the front of the deck. The back of the house the crew removed 6 dying bushes and replaced them with 3 Cypress Mop plants. On both sides of the house a total of 10 dead/dying or overgrown bushes and tree were removed. They were replaced with 10 Dwarf Burning Bushes. The crew trimmed 2 medium size Lilac bushes on one side of the house. Reseeded a medium size bare spot in the side yard that was caused by an over grown shrub. Additional mulch was added to all the new plants and trees. The day the landscaping was done it was a very hot and humid day. Steven and his crew were very hard working men and answered all the questions we asked. We used Flemings for landscaping the front yard at our old address last year before selling the house.

They provided an estimate two days after I called. They provided me a date they would do the work. They did exactly what I asked for. All the workers were very nice and they cleaned up all the trimmings.

Roger's employees were very pleasant to work with and answered any questions we had. They were very hard working and conscientious of their work. Roger added some plants we hadn't discussed at no additional cost to add more color to the flower bed. We we not pleased with two of the plants and Roger replaced them with two different plants of a different verity. We were selling our house and feel that the new landscaping Flemings did gave our house a better cube appeal help to sell the house more quickly.

They did a great job! Before work started, Roger Fleming came out and drew up a detailed drawing of what planets he thought would look best and where to plant them. When the group came out to to the work, they knew exactly what to do and left my yard cleaner than when they got here. I would definitely hire them again.

The work done was excellent. The only problem was communication. I had to call to obtain dates, etc., every time.

We've used them in the past and they do an excellent job. They hand climb all of our tall trees due to the inability to bring a truck into our back yard, so they hand trim each tree. They have certified arborists on staff, know what they are doing and provide an excellent service. They were able to schedule us into a rather tight schedule. I would like to nominate them for a Super Service award. A gentlemen took the time to hand trim the trees in our front yard and the work was just phenomenal. They don't concern themselves with the time it takes more so than they want to do a great job to the customer's satisfaction.

I have a big yard with many hedges and bushes that needed trimmed and pruned. They showed up on time, did an excellent job and even ended up trimming and pruning 4 more bushes at no extra cost. The very fast response and professionalism of this company was excellent. Only one other company out of 5 that I contacted for a quote from Angie's list even bothered to call me back. The other company that did come out really want to do the work as they lacked equipment and tools to trim some very high hedges. Flemings quote was higher but I gladly paid it for the quality of work. They cleared all the branches and even picked up leaves that I hadn't gotten to yet. They didn't have to do this but they did. Excellent job.

Four very professional employees spent about 5 hours working diligently - they listened to my instructions regarding making sure the edging of the beds was deep and adequate. I made sure to request the specified depth of mulch was adhered to. All work was done to estimate specifications. I was pleased with the results and the courtesy of the employees.

The inspector spent 20 minutes with me and explained that the tree looked fine and that he would not advise attempting any trimming. There was no charge. I was very pleased with his professionalism and taking the time to explain things to me.

I would definitely recommend Flemmings to anyone. When I moved back into my house that had tenants living in it for several years the landscaping had been totally neglected. After finding Flemmings on Angie's List, Roger came our to give me a quote on the work. His crew went above and beyond and the neighbors were commenting on how good everything looked now. He even picked up some pavers that I requested be put in for a shortcut for the mailman even though that is not something he traditionally does. For the amount of work and the quality the price was a bargin. Even the grass that they planted grew in perfectly (and I've had many failed attempts at growing lawns. I don't remember exactly but all the work was completed in two to three days. I will definitely be using them for all future needs. Roger was also available for any question I had and stayed in contact during the whole project.

It was about ten more feet than what he had already cut down, and the branches were not that thick. He refused to do this, as he claimed it would make the tree look unattractive. I didn't care about that, as I have had recent roof and siding work done to my house and was more concerned about that. All the other work that they did was just fine, but their refusal to do something that was agreed upon beforehand is unacceptable. Nobody mentioned that it would be a problem during the estimate. UPDATE: This is in reference to a job done on 11/05/22014.They did come out and finish the job the way I wanted. Problem was resolved.

They were nice to deal with but it seemed to take a while to get them to the house to actually do the work. But once they were there, the work was good.

First contacted Flemings to have them come out and give me a quote to clean up our flower beds and mulch. At the same time I had two flower beds I wanted removed and grass planted. Now let me just say my flower beds were so overrun with weeds that you could hardly tell they were there. Roger came out the week I first contacted them and walked the lawn with me. This was in early Spring and we agreed that they would start as soon as the ground was dry enough to get the required equipment onto the lawn without destroying it. When that time came I got a call saying they would be out the next day. Sure enough the next morning a fleet of trucks showed up at my house. About 8 hours later I had a new lawn. Everything looked perfect. The next big job they did for me was when I had my deck ripped out and replaced with a stamped concrete patio and at the same time had the bottom part of my driveway converted from gravel to concrete. I wanted Flemings to repair the lawn areas dug up and/or damaged by the concrete crew. I used this opportunity to have Roger come out and put together a plan to totally redo the landscape design for the front of my house and around the new patio. About a week later I received a suggested design that was great so we proceeded. Again, the Flemings crew arrived on the agreed upon date and time and did a great job. All in all they planted about 100 new shrubs, flowers and trees. We didn't lose a single plant. We continue to receive positive comments from our neighbors and family on the new look. Also, throughout all of this Flemings did a weekly mowing while I finished up grad school and didn't have time. Like every other experience I've had with them it was great. No hassles and they always left my lawn looking good. My wife and I are planning on building a new home in the next couple years in the area and fully plan on using Flemings to do all of the landscaping work.

They were prompt with the estimate. When I decided to use them as a service provider, they scheduled right away and got the job done. They were able to do this without me being present.

Called and Mr. Fleming scheduled visit for a couple days later. I requested advice on what to do with the overgrown ravine in my back yard and with the aged landscaping in front yard. Alternative suggestions were provided, the work planned, and detailed estimates were provided for the various segments of work so that I could choose what should be done. There was a two week wait due to work backlog. Once weather permited, 4 very nice and professional employees spent two consecutive days in my yard. They trimmed back to four feet an extremely overgrown forsythia hedge. Removed 4 damaged shrubs and a thorny rose, removed another very large overgrown shrub from front of house, removed 5 stumps, planted 5 new rose bushes, two 3 gallon 9-barks, one other shrub, and two 12 foot tall Kousa dogwood trees. In back of house cleared steep ravine by first spraying to kill, then using equipment to remove forsythia hedge and sapling trees, reducing stumps, bringing in new top soil, seeding with grass, fertilizing, covering with straw and placing hoses and sprinklers to begin watering routine. The work was scheduled and completed as quickly as possible given the thunderstorms that have been passing through every couple of days. Flemings did good work. I stopped using them because I found that the service was a little pricey compared to other services I've used, and the service was not as complete (no edging, etc.).

The estimate was completed the next day after I called and the trees were removed that same week. Very pleased with their service.

They came with a crew of 4, an equipment truck and another truck pulling an industrial-strength chipper. Both jobs required the 2 more experienced crew members to climb those trees (I have pictures on my phone if anyone is interested). The 2 less experienced crew members stayed on the ground and controlled the falling branches with ropes. They arrived at about 8:15am and were complete, including a very thorough clean-up, by 9:30. They were all exceptionally courteous and provided additional guidance on maintaining the tree that had required extensive pruning. As another review said, had I not been there, I would not have believed anyone had been in my yard.

They are good, I like them. They come out right away, and find out what you want, and give you an estimate. When they come out, they come out when they say they will, and they do the job.

Very professional. I appreciated that he wanted to save me money, because my job was so small.
