Horrible. First of all a job they said would take 3 weeks (and should have taken that long) took them 5 months to complete. They would show up for a few hours and say they would come back the next day, only to return weeks later after several frustrating unanswered phone calls. My back deck was unusable most of the summer because I couldn't put my furniture on it. After 5 months to complete, their work didn't hold up. The procedure to remove the old polymeric jointing sand was NOT DONE CORRECTLY according to the Unilock representative we had to have come out after our pave stones started sinking, the pavestone steps moving when walked on, and the cement-like material the polymeric sand joints were to produce, could be peeled away to reveal soft sand. Just as bad, the sealant they used was inferior and turned out pavestone white. Even more frustrating was the fact I questioned the owner of First Impressions Landscape, Bob Macdougal, as to what brand he was using because I had read about sealants turning stone white, and his response was, " I've used this product multiple times, it works great with no problems. Don't worry". April 2015, six months after they did the work, we notified the other owner, Sheri Parrish about what was going on. She came out and inspected the work, said it was wrong and that she would fix it. After multiple attempts both by me and my husband, and the Unilock rep, she refuses to make good on their mistakes. NEVER AGAIN will I use this unethical company nor should anyone else
Description of Work: Removed old polymeric jointing sand around our Unilock pave stone, then re-installed polymeric jointing sand and then sealed our patio and front walkway.

The original work was performed well. One of the main attractions of this vendor was their advertised "lifetime warranty" for their work. Over the years, the front steps they built have performed poorly, once requiring a complete rebuild which was NOT done for free but was done at a reduced price. After the rebuild, a cap stone on one of the steps cracked and has worsened over a couple of winters. Despite repeated promises by the vendor to come and replace the cap stone, this has never been done. I have written to them as well as called. This Summer, I have made calls to the vendor in May, August and September. In May and August I was assured that their failure to come out was an "oversight" and they would be out promptly. They never came. Now they don't return my calls or respond to my emails. This vendor does NOT keep their word and their "lifetime warranty" is a sham. I would never recommend them.

I didn't dislike anything; I just decided not to get the whole thing done. I wanted the quote on repairing one damaged step only. He came out right away. He was very professional. He did a good job explaining what he would have done and so on. I might consider using them in the future.
Description of Work: First Impressions Landscaping gave me an estimate in May for repairing all steps and re-pointing some brick.

5 men who work for them did most of the work. A group of young men who work extremely well together and they hand dug the foundation of the patio and hand placed every stone. They work hard and are proud of their work. The gas fire pit was our idea and they made sure they knew what was required by the supplier and were here every step of the way. Our patio is beautiful and the design by Shari was very throughly followed. She is a true artist and Bob makes sure the design is followed. My patio is amazing! I would recomend tha anyone hire them to design their patio.
Description of Work: They installed a large patio using stone pavers with lighting and a gas fire pit. They also did landscape work around the patio and part of the house.

The workers started on schedule and completed all the work in three days. They dug out the unilock patio area and layed a good hard foundation before laying the bricks. The patio is still level after over a year. The plants looked good at the beginning and I was very happy with the overall work of the laborers and the overall attention from the owner. Unfortunately, 7 plants/bushes died during the year. I contacted the owner last year and she stopped over to look at the plants that died. She stated she would be back to replace them and even trim the decorative tree. After a couple months I contacted her again in August 2006 and asked when she would be back to replace the dead plants. She came back and looked at the plants again and stated she would order replacemements. I never received a call back and in April 2007 I called again. I have tried calling numerous times and left messages, but have not received a reply and still wait for her to fulfill her guarantee.
Description of Work: Owner met with me to discuss what I wanted completed in my back yard. She did a design drawing and met with me again to explain the bushes she picked and how the layout would look. Also, showed me a design utilizing unilock to extend my back patio. She explained everything thoroughly and stated all the plants had a one year warranty to be replaced if they died. I hired the company to complete the work which included extending two flower beds and widening two others. They planted 19 bushes (including one decorative tree). They installed a unilock design pation, extending my existing concrete patio. They tilled all the flower beds and mixed peat moss and fertilizer in. They completed the work in three days and the laborers did a great job. The patio looked great and the plant design and flower beds were a big improvement to my back yard. The original work was done March 2006.
