We ended up deciding not to replace the existing doors after all. Action's bid was in the middle of the range of estimates we'd received.

Very responsive, great service and communication.

I called for an appointment and they were able to come out right away. They quoted a price over the phone of $250.00 and $5.00 gas surcharge for replacing 2 springs and informed me that if there was more work to be done they would let me know before work began. I asked if I they offered a senior discount or an Angies list discount. He said they did and it was 10% off the service. The Technician arrived a few minutes before the scheduled appointment, said that we just needed the two springs, confirmed the price and completed the work in just over an hour..

He did his work and showed me everything he had done. He told me what he had checked, and that everything was fine. He recommended a possible follow-up for next year, and he was very good about explaining what he was doing.

Action Door Service provided excellent services. They came out and did a real good job. Definitely use them if you have a garage door problem. They're very professional, very courteous and very efficient. They came on time and did a good job. There's not much more you can do.

it was fine; a preventive check

Called the company for emergency garage door spring repair. They stated in the yellow pages add that they had a lifetime warranty on springs. Should have know things were going to go bad when I called to schedule the service and the lady on the phone told me there was no such thing as a lifetime warranty on springs. I scheduled the service and they were to come around noon that day. They did not come till around 4pm. My new vehicle was in the driveway and was moved far over to the left of the driveway. When the truck came with two people, they backed up in the driveway over the right side of lawn, took some branches down with the ladder rack on the truck, and started then scraping the bottom of the basketball hoop with the ladder rack also. They never stopped. As they were backing up, they left about 6 inches between their door and my new car door to get out. I told them to stop and leave as their services were not needed. Also called the home office to detail my reason for sending them on their way. Called Genie of Fairview, rated by me already, and was positively satisfied with this company.

I called them & explained the garage door wouldn't open. They came out very quickly, and at the time they gave me. They gave me a very reasonable estimate to fix the problem with a guarantee. They worked quickly and I haven't had any problems since. The door was about 15 years old with a remote control and it works like new.

Initial call went great. I was told they would have someone out to me by the morning (I called around 9am). However, tech did not show up until 2pm. Also, I looked at other reviews on here for the same type of work done and was expecting to pay around $100 - $175 for the service. I was told by the tech since it was after hours I was charged an OT fee. An extra $75 for an hour's work seems very pricey and wish I was initially told this. Although I did not ask how much the job would cost since I was going by past reviews. Lesson learned to get a price upfront. Was contacted by the company and my problem was solved. Very professional and would definitely use them again!!

Guy came when he said he would, did what he said he would, charged what he said he would.

I contacted the company via Angies List email and received a phone call back from the salesman, Ron, within a couple of hours. We met THAT DAY to take measurements, receive and estimate and sign a contract. Both doors had to be special ordered, but the the wait was not long (a few weeks). When the doors came in, the salesman contacted me; we set up an install appointment. The workers that came out were great! Friendly and professional, they completed the first job and let me know they were on the way to do the second. They also were prompt. The overall experience was wonderful, and I have two nice new doors to prove it!

The repairman showed up promptly and called before he came. He was polite and efficient.

Came out on time for the inital call to measure and explain options. Had examples and color chips to pick from. Explained difference in products, warrenties and price. Stayed in my budget and gave us a nice looking garage door. Install was done on time and did not take as long as anticipated. We are happy with job.

They were very prompt. I called and they were out within a couple of days. They got the work done in a couple of hours. They were not the cheapest. They were a little bit more expensive but they came highly recommended. They did a really good job.

Action Door scheduled my appointment for my convenience, notified me when the techs were on the way, and were honest in their assessment of the garage door problem. The techs were knowledgeable, listened to me while I described the problem and so courteous even when they had to come back.

Action door responded quickly and I was soon up and running. The price was a bargain for what Chris accomplished.

I was on my way out to leave for work when my garage door wouldn't open. Both of our cars were stuck in our garage and we couldn't open the dooor. We called Action Door at 7:30 and got their voicemail stating that anything before 8:00 am would be an emergency call, leave a message and someone will call you right back. We didn't leave a message, but they did call right back. We told them we could wait until 8:00. At 8:00 someone called us back again to schedule a appointment. They were here at noon and replaced the spring. They were quick and courteous.

Easy to schedule. 2 men came out for garage door 'tune up.' They identified problem with bearing and fixed it on the spot for an add'l fee that seemed reasonable. Happy with the service.

The spring on our double garage door broke this evening and I could not get the door up. I need to have it working by the morning so we could get the cars out. I called Action Doorr for emergency service. The technician was out within an hour on a cold night.. He was professional, replaced the springs (my choice to replace both) and had the door working within an hour. I do not think the cost was unreasonable given it was after hours. So what better service could I have received?
