Description of Work: Air Excellence contacted me to see if I would be home and they came to my home that very day! The tech was kind and knowledgeable and professional. He explained exactly what the problem was with my A/C in terms that I could understand. He checked every part of my A/C changed my filter, gave me little tips on maintaining my A/C and told me to call anytime for his help. I would recommend Air Excellence to anyone and say they can be trusted.

+ -1 moreOverall, things went well. We had a subsequent leak from the vent stack the ac drain was tapped into. Air Excellence came out the afternoon we called and reported the leak, checked the ac system and determined the leak wasn?t caused by the ac. Turns out the leak was caused by faulty plumbing. We received no invoice from Air Excellence for that emergence call.
Description of Work: Installed drip pan under ac, installed filter compartment (ac was installed without a filter compartment and previous owner had just jammed a filter in front of the air return), insulated ac to prevent condensation from dripping into ac unit and rusting the unit, taped up seams around ducts to prevent air loss.

Description of Work: Not much! Called because furnace was leaking water inside the house where PVC couplings meet. Some young boy (looked a little over 19) comes and says immediately he can't take the pipe apart. He has some old beat up wrench and then tells us we need a new a/c unit. I tell him no, then he says we need Freon. Doesn't tell the price and at the end the Freon's about $136.00. He was at our house less than an hour all told. He just kept telling us to get a new unit, when a/c is running fine. Said drip pan might be rusted, but he is unable to take it apart to show us. Never, never again. I told him to wrap it up and go, that's when he got the husband agree to Freon.. Whether we needed it or not, I'll never know. But, I will know one thing, never use this company again who looks like it uses high school kids! He disappeared during the hour as well, and my husband saw him out front at the truck texting..what else is new!!!

+ -1 moreUsing a coupon I purchased on this site, we had them in to check two ac units (after we had another ac repairman in). They charged the main ac since it was low on Freon and then checked the rest of the system. Based on our initial experience with them, we had them back out to insulate the main ac to reduce condensation flowing into the unit (to prevent rusting and extend the life of the unit) and had them properly install a drip pan, shut off and filter system for the second ac that was obviously not installed correctly. Second service took most of a day ad was $1400 for parts and labor. We will be using them for our hvac needs in the future.

+ -1 moreThey were a great. He came, inspected the gas line, the furnace and the ducts. He made sure that the furnace was working. He did give us some advice that although the furnace is in great working order, its not as efficient as it should be. They did what they were supposed to do and gave us good solid advice.
Description of Work: They did a cleaning and maintenance for the furnace to make sure everything is fine. It was a service call.

+ 0 moreI can'tbelieve the difference in my air quality! It is amazing. There was a bad smell coming from my vents. I suspected it was due to a previous lady bug infestation. Within 1 hour of the cleaning there was a very notable improvement. I could not be happier. The scheduling process was easy and they got me in within 48 hours. The men, Austin and Tony were kind,hardworking and professional. And the "boss" Tim was excellent. He went above and beyond in helping learn about my furnace. He gave me suggestions for future needs and got me the right sized filter. He even had a way to infuse the house with a light fresh scent!! I am very pleased.

+ -1 moreThis company offered the best price of all the estimates I collected; however, I thought it was still pricey. Using a coupon from the provider's website was helpful. Installers were very personable and professional and cleaned up the area well after installation. When a problem developed the next day, they responded quickly and fixed the problem. I cannot yet speak to the quality of the new furnace because it was installed in the summer. The company seems to provide only Trane furnaces so options are limited. I have never had a Trane before, only a Carrier, but I'm hoping this brand works well. I feel reasonably sure that the provider would respond quickly and effectively should problems occur.

+ 0 moreI started noticing a noise from our furnace fan that sounded like a bearing had gone bad. It kept getting louder & much worse sounding, so I had to shut off the A/C. This was the first time we have tried Air Excellence. The service provider we used in the past could not come that same day. Since it was mid-summer we needed the A/C back in working order. My fear was that I was facing a new furnace and/or A/C. We were extremely pleased with this technician's understanding of our particular brand of furnace fan & how easy it was for him to fix the problem & get us cooled-off again with a well functioning A/C. We will definitely use Air Excellence again.
Description of Work: The technician arrived the same day that I placed a call for service. He accessed the interior of the furnace fan, saw immediately that the squirrel cage rotor had slipped on its shaft due to the set-screw coming loose, & was rubbing the housing assembly. He remedied the situation & was in & out within a half hour!

+ 0 moreWhen David came out to give me a price he actually measured my home and explained what system would be best for my situation. This is something that the other companies did not do, David also helped me to get a rebate from AEP which lowered the final cost of the units installed. As for the actual work being done the service was fantastic, my ducts probably had not been cleaned in 30 years. Air Excellence came in cleaned the ducts, cleaned the vent covers. The new air conditioner and heater were installed professionally, the installers were very professional and obviously cared about doing a good job.
Description of Work: I had air excellence install a new heater and air conditioning unit and clean all of the duct work.
