Roxxo's Tree Care

Roxxo's arrived one day late and cut down the trees in our backyard. They left the yard waste in our backyard while they went through the neighborhood looking for more work. They performed work at three other houses that day. They then returned to clean up our yard. We were told that their truck was full and it was too late to dump the yard waste. I was told they would be back the next day to clean up the rest. I was also told that they thought the stumps would be removed within the next two days. The limbs and trunks for the trees that were cut remained in our yard until late the next day when the workers returned. The crew then moved on to several other houses in the neighborhood to work. For the second night, they left their truck (which was leaking a lot of oil) in front of our house. When they returned late the next day, I asked again when the stumps would be removed. I was told the stump removal crew was finishing up a job nearby and would be here later that day or the next. I have called numerous times and none of my phone calls have been returned. It is now a month later and the stumps are still in my yard. I received estimates from three tree services before deciding which company to use. I considered the total price of tree removal and stump removal when deciding. Since it has become evident that Roxxo's does not plan to return to finish the work promised, I have asked for prices on stump removal from other companies. It will cost more than double what Roxxo's quoted to have these stumps removed. I would not have used Roxxo's if I had known they would not remove the stumps. Because the estimate for tree removal and stump removal was separated, I unfortunately paid for the tree removal when it was complete. In the future, I would make sure that the estimate was written in total, so that I would not have to pay until the total job was finished. That would have given them the incentive to come back and finish what was promised.
