James Quality Flooring

This place is terrible! I had a date to install carpet and the installers showed up, tore all the old carpet up, and told me that the roof was leaking and they couldn't install it until the leak was fixed. I had a roofer look at it and there was no leak at all. I called James Flooring back to schedule the install. They told me they would be at my house at 9:30 - 10 am. I got a call saying they were running behind and would be at my house at noon. They show up a little before 1 AM. About 3 hours into the job they told me that they would not be able to finish on that day and they would have to come back tomorrow. After they left, I found they had screwed up one of my closet doors. A large chunk of wood was missing. The door can not be reinstalled and will have to be replaced. They also scratched up my my hardwood floor moving furniture. I had to pay extra for them to move it. They also left black hand prints on my daughter's white closet door. I have tried to work this out with the company and I was accused of sending there installers away and I should have let them install carpet in the rooms where they said there was a leak. All I wanted was them to install the carpet correctly and fix the stuff they broke. I guess that is too much to ask.

The flooring probably was about $1500, and for the tile floor and the laminate floor, it was probably a couple of thousand dollars. It’s a local company and I like to do business with local businesses. They’ve been very good to me. They always let me borrow some tools to do things. I’ll do business locally if I can do as opposed to 4.43. They’ve been around for 25 years. They’re knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. It’s a family run business.

We went to the James Flooring store and set up a time to get our kitchen measured for the floor. Then the gentleman who did the measuring came and took the measurements back to the store. We returned to the store to pick out the flooring and pick the day to put it down. They did not arrive on time the first day to begin and that maybe why it took so long on the second day to finish. They worked consistently and did work well into the evening on Friday until done. when finished the floor looked nice but there are still a few missed placed quarter rounds and looks like some of the glue did not take well but overall looks nice.

It went very well. They were efficient and competent. There were no problems at all. They did a follow up call yesterday and it was good as well.

THE SERVICE THEY GAVE ME WAS FINE. I WAS NOT TO PLEASED WITH PADDING ON MY CARPET THOUGH. THE WORKERS DID A GREAT JOB, BUT THE PADDING SEEMS TO PULL UP A LITTLE BIT. I SHOULD HAVE SAID SOMETHING WHILE THEY WERE HERE.

THEY CAME ON SCHEDULE AND WENT TO WORK. THEY WERE PUNCTUAL AND HARDWORKING. THEY DID A GOOD JOB WITH THE SEAMING AND THE CARPET LOOKS GOOD. THEY VACUUMED BEFORE THEY LEFT.
