Finney's Tree And Mulch

While they cut down all the snags but one, and while they cut down the 3 trees agreed upon, they were not able to cut up the dead maple on the first day. Nor did they cut the trees down close to the trunk/ground as other professionals have done here. I had to repeat that I wanted the dead maple cut up vs. left on the ground in one piece. I had to repeat that I wanted the big maple back off of the road. They wrote up the ticket for the work and on top of that ticket they wrote they would be back on 9/15 to cut down the remaining "snag". They did come back, and they cut up the dead maple, but they did not cut down the remaining snag. Nor did they cut back the maple trunks close to the ground. To top it off, with repeated requests to come back, I keep getting excuses as to why they can't. They left their trailer on our property (we had agreed it could sit here 1 night) for 5 nights with no explanation or indication when they would return. Sure enough, when they came back to get the trailer (I wasn't here), they did not finish the work. As they didn't bring water with them, I gave them several bottles of water and found 2 of the empties thrown into the woods behind where the trees stood. On the very large maple that they cut down, they left a 20 foot section of the tree where it landed and did not cut it up into pieces. As to getting the canopy of the large maple off of the shared driveway, they left almost every bit of it in plain view for anyone walking/driving by vs taking it down into the ravine. Subsequently, I have removed as much of the canopy of that tree as I could. I would not recommend this company.

Finneys was in the neighborhood and stopped by to see if we wanted any trimming done. I can say that they did a nice job and was easy to work with. Good job. Polite, and neat.

It went well...this a walk up, smaller vendor solicitation which I don't normally use. They had a fair price, did what I wanted and described to them accurately, and cleaned up. I would use them again. Polite and congenial and a tree climber who knows what he is doing. The workers were in the area and did the work shortly after we agreed on a price.

The Finney's crew provided a prompt estimate and we made a handshake deal. They went to work immediately. And man, did they WORK! No slouching around at all. It was clear they enjoyed working for their pay. And, they cleaned up very carefully, even clearing out some old dead branches that were lying on the ground already. Then I paid them as agreed and they were gone!

They came door to door and offered to cut the tree. They gave us a quote to cut the tree, cut the logs into firewood and leave it at the curb and also to come back in 2 weeks to grind the stump.They did a good job of cutting the tree but left the big logs without cutting them into firewood. The payment included $50.00 towards grinding of the stump. We have called him and texted him several times including last week. He has not responded to our calls or texts and has not come to grind the stump and finish the job. We now feel that we have to look for someone else to finish the job. We will not recommend this provider to anyone. His Flyer said he is a member of Angie's List but we could not find him on your Website.

Finney's showed up early on the agreed upon day and began working almost immediately. I had marked the trees I wanted removed with marking paint. They had a team of 5-6 workers who were helmeted and showed good regard for their own and each others' safety. I heard no bad language despite a large and difficult job. They were able to drop the trees without damaging other tress or property. Their "climber" was something to behold! He belted up and virtually walked up an old pine tree. When he got to the top he tied himself on and proceeded to take the branches neatly and efficiently. then he belayed down the tree. The team really did a good job cleaning up. I have just finished mowing and I found nothing but twigs. I was sorry to see the old trees go but I'm glad I hired Frank and his crew to do the work. I can highly recommend them.
