Ben showed up to provide estimate for services. Ben was the only person from the companies I contacted who conducted a Manual J calculation to determine my homes needs. This is the main reason I selected this company. On the day of installation, Josh and crew arrived on time and quickly got to work. The placed all sort of floor protection mats in my house and get the tear out done very quickly. As the tear out was happening, one member of the teams was taking care of the duct work changes in our attic. All in it was full day, but so far, two days later we are super happy. This summer we will really know if the 2-stage AC was worth the money for our needs. We are satisfied customers so far would recommend and would use them again.

We have been customers of Watkins for a few years, but this is our first review on them. They are super friendly and do great work. A few years ago, they were able to help us get us a new furnace in a timely fashion when ours died in the middle of winter (it was really old). At that time, they noticed the AC was not installed correctly and not up to code (previous owner). We also knew the water heater was next to go, but were able to hold off until this year. Our new AC had a part go bad this year, but they were able to come out quick and repair pretty quick (and no charge). We are very pleased with all the work and highly recommend them!

We've been using them for 16 years now. We specifically work with Marty and are very happy with him. It will be a sad day when he retires. I would give them an A.

The installation staff was great! They did an outstanding job, working quickly and efficiently. The service technicians have always been professional and courteous. We are pleased that the service techs keep us up to date on options that will improve the efficiency of our system.

Wonderfully! Came home from vacation to a sweltering house on a Thursday evening. We called another HVAC who we have a "service contract" with. They sent someone out who said it was a blower motor that needed replaced and the part was $300-$500 and they didn't have the part in and we would have to wait to Monday to have one installed. They actually advised us to call Watkins and said they would say the same thing. So we called Watkins who came out Friday afternoon. The tech was professional, polite, knowledgeable, and determined to find out what was wrong with the blower motor. He took the motor out and checked it out and cleaned it. He also stated that if he couldn't fix ours he had one to replace it with on the truck. He found out what was wrong ( a possible loose wire), put the motor back in and instantly we got air and it started cooling off the house. He asked if we wanted it cleaned before doing so, and said it was up to us, no pressure, we decided to have it done since it was already apart. He also offered us a service contract, again, no pressure at all. We took the service, as we were well pleased with the service and the tech's ability and professionalism. One of the best techs we have had do any service for us. All this, except for the cleaning, for the service call fee of $89. The cleaning was an extra $103 (well worth it in my opinion because I can't crawl around in the scorching attic to take the blower apart and clean it and put it back in!), for a total of $192.85. Excellent service!

Absolutely the best in business! Very friendly, kind and considerate installers. Covered my floor to protect from dirt. Wore shoe covers inside house. Cleaned up before they left and explained all about my new HVAC unit.

Previously I had used Rod Poppe for our HVAC needs, however, when he retired he sold his business to Watkins. When our air conditioning unit stopped running on Friday evening, I gave Watkins a call. Since it was fairly late, their answering machine gave an option of leaving an emergency breakdown message or a regular message (which I chose due to the late hour). On Saturday morning I gave them another call about 8:00 AM and left an emergency message since it was going to be a hot, muggy day and I needed the unit fixed ASAP. I received a call back from Michael House, the on-call tech very quickly and by 9:30 he was at our house. After doing a thorough analysis, he found a blown capacitor and low Freon level, but otherwise the 24+ year old unit was in good shape. Michael was VERY professional, courteous, and thorough. I would HIGHLY recommend Watkins for any HVAC work.

I called Watkins at 5:00pm to report that our air conditioner wasn't cooling. I was told that all technicians were busy but they would call as soon as one became available. Within 30 minutes a truck was in our driveway!! The technician quickly diagnosed the problem, had the part (capacitator) in his truck, and completed the service within 45 minutes. Total cost, including after-hours service call, was $305.12. The first time I called Watkins was in 2014 when a competitor (that I had used for semi-annual maintenance for almost 20 years!) told us we had a cracked heat exchanger. The cost to repair was very expensive so I called Watkins for a complementary second opinion. The Watkins' technician told me this competitor was famous for this heat exchanger "scam" and found no problem whatsoever this our system. I knew then that I could trust Watkins and would definitely use them in the future. Today was that opportunity and I have nothing but high praise for them!!

Very professional, best value out there by far. Follow up was exceptional as well after job was completed. I would recommend to anyone!

2nd fix on air conditioning. Could have easily told us we needed a new unit. Not the case. Quick fix. On time, very professional, and pleasant. Will always use this company!

I must apologize for the delay in submission of this report. My business and the travels it demands have commanded the majority of my attention in recent months. It is for this very reason that I use Angie's List as a guide in finding providers such as Watkins Heating and Cooling.....I can trust that they will do a great job without the need for me to be present for every project. I shopped 3 providers rated on Angies List. I found Elliot Watkins to be a unique balance of experience, professionalism, and sincerity in his approach to business. No-nonsense, no aggressive sales tactics, and a good knack for listening to his customers. A few weeks after meeting Elliot in our home, I called to ask a few clarifying questions and when they could perform the work. The date was established on that call. About 2 weeks later, the equipment was delivered the day before the installation was to be performed, and the 2-man crew reported early the following morning. I was pleased with the courtesy and respect for our property displayed by the installers. Additionally, they were personable and a pleasure to work with. The job went very smooth with removal of the furnace/air handler being accomplished without a scratch to a wall. The installation of the new equipment went very well. The attention to detail with regard to wiring, refrigerant tubing runs, and other details some customers would not notice, was great to see. A follow-up call was made the following morning to be sure all was ok (which it was). I could not have been happier with the way the installation proceeded, the professionalism of the crew, and the follow-up. One good thing about being a little tardy with my report is that I can offer a better perspective with regar to the PRODUCT. I replaced our HVAC system pre-emptively. It was still in good working condition, but knowing its days were limited, I chose to replace it when it was convenient for me. After a full heating season, I am very pleased. Further, getting into the cooling season, I am equally as pleased with the airconditioning side of the system. This system provides a level of comfort we had not experienced in our home previously. The temperature is surprisingly consistent throughout the house and I sleep much better due to the low sound level of the air handler and the condenser outside a bedroom window. And,without a doubt, my overall energy bills have been greatly reduced. This system has given me some choice in my heating costs. Previously I was hostage to the whims of my propane gas supplier. Now, I can decide what makes sense and heat our home in the interests of my family. So...kudos to Watkins Heating and Cooling and, so far, to Trane. We could not be more pleased. With an investment this large, longevity will tell the story. I hope it proves to be as good a product in the long term as it does now.

Their yes is yes and their no is no. We had some problems with the A/C that it kind of whistled and they basically said if you turned your fence around, it wouldn't whistle, because we thought we had a bigger problem than what we had.

It was free because it was under warranty. The do a yearly inspection for us.

The team was extremely punctual and did a great job. They were polite to us, and to my kids who were really curious about the whole process. We had a great experience.

Team led by Elliot, who we've worked with before. He's great - very patient and thorough. Goes out of his way to be accessible. The installation performed by two of his service members - Michael and Jacob - who were extremely professional, punctual, clean, and very respectful of our house and privacy. All the usual things you'd expect, shoe covers, carpet protectors, etc., but topped by a great attitude. They went above and beyond staying late to finish a difficult job, rather than quitting early and coming back the next day. This is a great company that is growing rapidly because of their strong ethics and careful attention to detail. I look forward to continuing to work with them in the future.

I have been quite pleased. The price was not outrageous. They made sure everything was working. They do good work and they are local. I know where they live.

They had one employee come out and completed the work in half-an-hour easy. He seemed to know what he was doing. The price was probably fair.

Everything went fine. The existing heating and air conditioning unit was installed in early 2005. It replace a very inefficient unit that was only 14 to 15 years old and which was failing. Watkins installed the new Trane unit and has serviced it twice a year for the last nine years; one for heating and once for cooling. The are always efficient and professional and punctual.
