I think this is an example of over-selling a Living Social or Groupon deal. When I called to make the appointment, they asked if I was a Living Social customer. I asked if that made a difference as to when we could schedule and was told "yes". They couldn't get out that week , it would be next week. Fair enough - I could understand that they were busy. When the week came and went and we hadn't heard from them we called and were told we were on the bottom of the list since we were Living Social customers but they would get someone out before the weekend was over. They finally showed up at 6:30 Sunday evening, ( after another call), and proceeded to rip through the job as fast as the mower would go. It left the lawn rough and we had some torn patches in our turf where the operator turned the mower too fast. The trimming was done at nearly a run (and poorly) and the edging didn't get done at all. This is a hard lesson for a company to learn but when you advertise on Living Social and Groupon, it is for the purpose of growing your business. Some of your deal buyers will become regular customers. We would have. Now I cannot recommend your services and would suggest to Angie's List subscribers that they avoid you. Note to Happy Blades - running down the curb with a weed trimmer is NOT edging. Also, if you run over someone's downspouts or knock them off, please straighten and put them back. We would have used you for our lawn service as the deal we bought was a convenient way to try out a new company. We were considering hiring you for landscaping and mulch service as well. Based on the quality of your lawn cutting, those jobs have gone elsewhere as has our lawn service.

Wanted to use the Happy Blades living social deal. I called and made a Sat, 9am appointment. Matt called near 9am to reschedule for 930am. During the conversation, he changed it to sometime in the morning and would call later...didn't show, didn't call. I called in the early afternoon and Matt says he moved the appt to the end of the day; would call me later. There was no notice whatsoever. Then the end of day comes...he just didn't call and didn't show at all. No call, no apology, no reschedule. I am totally glad I didn't pay for the deal first. If having a total lack of respect for new clients and vets is their way, then personally I wouldn't hire them to pick up the dog's poop much less mow my weedy lawn. IMHO, skip this company, they proved unreliable.
