When I called to make the appointment I was given an approximate estimate. On the appointed day two men came to take the recliners to their workroom. A few days later they were returned, good as new. That's not the best part. My elderly father had a ring that had fallen into one of the chairs without our knowing. It was not very valuable, but it had great sentimental value. When the men returned with the chair, they handed me the ring. I gave it to my dad, who was overjoyed to see it. It meant a great deal to him that the ring was returned. A few weeks later Daddy died, and the ring was passed on as it was meant to be.
Description of Work: I had purchased two leather recliners at another store about 8 years ago. The legs had begun to sway outwards and the foot of both recliners was falling apart.

I was thrilled at first to find a store to work with that was near my home and locally owned. I loved working with Linda. Everything was wonderful...until the backsplash. The tile did not match the small piece in the store, so that was the first problem. We were compensated with replacement tile...but not the 2nd installation. The gentlemen installing the backsplash were unprofessional, didn't cover the counter (resulting in scratches), left outlets installed improperly, and left the grout sealant for me to do on my own after they left. Upon inspection of the workmanship, we found gaps in the grout, crooked tiles, uneven spacing, and sections not even lined up. Getting any response from Edwards was nearly impossible. Because a specially tinted grout was used, we can't even fill in the gaps because Edwards won't follow through with our multiple requests for the tinted grout! Overall, it was an incredibly sub-par job. Sadly, we won't be working with Edwards again unless they decide to make this right. We really wanted a lasting relationship...and still have much work to be done, but we were treated as though our business wasn't important to them.
Description of Work: We purchased a dining table and 8 chairs, had a room designed and purchased furniture and carpet for it, had two chairs reupholstered, and had a backsplash installed.

In November 2012, per my request, Edwards met me @ the church to see what I wanted done and to write up a quote. Later on through the week, I received the quote by email. The only discrepancy I had was the quote was for 15 pews instead of 14 pews. Another quote was submitted with the correct number of pews. I did contact another upholstery company for a quote, but decided not to use them because of their low ratings with BBB. After review of quote with Church Trustees, we agreed to use Edwards. I made contact with Edwards and because they were booked up until after January 2013, the project was not started until February 2013. Edwards mentioned it would take at least a week to complete project, which was not a problem with the church, but I was impressed that it only took 3 days! The quality of work is great. They were able to match the material for the seats of the pews with exactly the same color as the back part of the pews being over a period of time fabric begins to fade and can sometime be very difficult to match up. The only minor complaint I have is after we had paid Edwards the balance due on the project, we (the church) still continued to receive invoices with an outstanding balance due. I contacted Edwards and talked with their bookkeeper/accountant in charge of billing and she insisted that we still had a balance due, of course, I insisted that we did not! I finally spoke with the owner and he said that he would take care of the error, which he did!
Description of Work: Had 14 church pews reupholstered and church pew foam replaced.

Description of Work: Edwards' has an extensive selection of upholstry fabrics. Their staff helped me select fabric for my large wingback armchair and ottoman. An estimate of cost was provided and a date of expected completion. The upholstry took 10 weeks to complete Upon complet-ion and inspection they recommended Ultrashield treatment for protection and extend life of the upholstry fabric. I had them apply this. The work was superior and I am very pleased. I will return for future upholstry needs.

What a great company to work with! As soon as I drove away from the store, I reconsidered my fabric choice. When I E-mailed them to let them know I had changed my mind, they were very nice and accommodating. That was on December 30th. The plan was for them to pick up my original chair on January 17th and take approximately ten days total to reupholster and deliver the chair to my residence. When I realized I was going to be hosting a get-together on the 20th, I called to ask if it would even be feasible for them to finish my chair by then. I was expecting them to say no, as we had already solidified the original plan. Much to my surprise and delight, they arranged to pick up my chair on Friday, January 6th. They delivered it to me today, January 18th. They worked me into their hectic schedule to accommodate my need. Honestly, they were delightful people to work with. David Edwards always responded to my E-mails in a timely and professional manner, and I have absolutely no complaints. They were up front about the costs involved, and the craftsmanship is high quality. The gentlemen who picked up and delivered the chair were friendly, responsible, and professional. They arrived at my home when they said they would be there.
Description of Work: They reupholstered a chair in my living room. I couldn't find exactly what I wanted as a replacement, so I decided to have the chair reupholstered instead. They completely stripped the original chair, created new pillows, and created a new seat cushion. I didn't ask them to create arm covers, but they did anyway at no additional cost. They also picked up and delivered the chair, and I didn't have to worry about transporting it.

EDWARD'S DID AN OKAY JOB ON INSTALLING OUR CARPET. THE PEOPLE WERE NICE AND THEY WERE ON TIME AND CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES, BUT THE PRICE AND QUALITY OF WORK WERE NOT VERY GOOD.
Description of Work: THEY INSTALLED CARPET IN ALL OF THE ROOMS IN MY HOUSE.
