Whitman's Carpet Dry Cleaning

Very well. This is the first time we have used used Whitman's and their dry process. We will definitely use them again. The process is actually a damp process where a media is brushed into the carpet and then vacuumed up. The stains were treated with a citrus spray and more of the media and were removed. The carpet was only damp and dried quickly versus the time needed to dry with a steam cleaning process. The carpets still look great after two months after they were cleaned. The team consists of a father and son (and grandpa - originator of the company) so you know who you are getting each time..They were very professional and friendly.

We have used Whitman's previously, having been urged by the carpet company we had used to never use steam on the carpet, but to use dry systems. That is all Whitman's does (or so I thought) and the work is very good, the family is professional in every way, and they are very friendly tradesman. I asked them to come back and clean our two busiest traffic areas (they did) and also asked if they did furniture (they do). They use a more traditional dry cleaning process on the micro-fibre sofas that had eight years of use on them. They came much cleaner than I expected and my wife was delighted. The carpet looks great too.

We have used the Whitman's for 10 years upon a referral from our neighbor. They always give an estimate before starting the work, call with an arrival time, work efficiently, and clean up afterwards. Not have wet carpets afterwards is wonderful, plus the materials are biodegradable!

This is a family owned business. Three generations showed up to do the work. They showed up on time (called ahead to give heads up on exact time). Since this was the first time we employed the dry method, the senior Whitman explained the process in great detail as well as the pros and cons prior to our signing up. They finished within the prescribed time. They were careful with the furniture and wallboards. Complete professionals. Provided tips on clean up of spills. Very knowledgeable of the industry. Will definitely use them again. Highly recommend this family owned business.

What a team, Dick, Chris and Sean --all of them worked their parts to make it all beautiful. We have used them for years and are always amazed at the results. It all looks like new purchases. They are real professionals---just like in the old days. Called ahead to confirm. Moved furniture off carpet and then back again. Were so prompt, polite and clean up professional.

They arrived on time, assessed the job, were very polite, explained in detail the product they were using and the procedure. Because of the process used, there was no drying time needed, carpets could be walked on immediately. This process got rid ground in dirt and spots. It took less than 2 hours to complete the job. I have recommended them to several of my friends.

Wow. These folks are the best. Professional, courteous and do a fantastic job. I DO NOT like wet or steam cleaning. So this was the second time I used Whitman's dry cleaning. We have a quality wool carpet that just needs an annual dry clean, and they did the job perfectly. The process is really cool (and environmentally correct :) and the carpet (which is over 20 years old, BTW) looks brand new. Chris brought his son Seth with him. What a professional in the making. I can't say enough about the service, quality and end result. I will use them forever!

Went well. Gentlemen are very polite, professional, courteous. They go about their business and let me do so, too. There was not deep soil in the carpet, or stains. I don't know how well their product works with those problems, but the cleaning on the carpet with casual soil from use was fine.

Whitman's is a family owned business and uses the Host method of carpet cleaning. It leaves no sticky residue that attracts dirt and leaves the carpet almost dry. They charge by the square foot and it's easy to have them spot clean areas. This is the method of cleaning I've used for years, and is the one I prefer.

It went very well overall. I had used the hose system before, and I prefer it to steam cleaning because it doesn't leave your carpet as wet. It was a father and son team and they did an excellent job.

Dick Whitman and his son Chris arrived after calling within the two hour window scheduled for cleaning. They measured the areas to be cleaned and based their price on the square footage and the number of stairs to be cleaned. They showed the total up front, and with our OK, went ahead to explain the process and to demonstrate it. They were very professional and grateful for our business. When the work was completed, the carpet looked almost new. Even those areas we thought were too worn came back. We are extremely pleased with the results. Although they are a bit more pricey than their competitors, we would highly recommend them.
