SOLIDForm Decorative Concrete

Working with this company was a terrible experience. There are significant communication and scheduling issues. Often times they don't show up on days when they say they will, then show up at other random times without telling you. They also do terrible work and are extremely dishonest about it. They poured the patio extremely un-level and uneven. The patio is 20 feet in length and slopes away from the house at almost 1/2 inch per foot, about 7-9 inches in some spots. It is visibly not level. They also did not properly seal the patio and installed the firepit improperly and in the wrong spot (because they randomly showed up without telling us). They used approximately one inch of sand to attempt to level the firepit, because the firepit is not level. They then claimed they sealed the concrete, but it was not done because the patio was covered in sand. The patio was then covered in white spots from being sealed improperly. The owner, Scott Weaver, came out and agreed it was done improperly. He attempted to remedy the issue, marked on the patio where we wanted the firepit moved to, and agreed it needed to be glued together. He also agreed the patio was not sealed properly and the white spots needed to be removed. Unfortunately, since he didn't actually come back out to do the work himself, his works did glue the firepit blocks together, however they put it in the wrong location. They also said they sealed the patio, but again did not. They even sent me an email saying it was sealed and finished when it clearly was not. Scott came out a third time, agreed it was not done properly (again), and did clean, re-color, and re-seal the patio as best he could. We asked Scott, and even looked into filing a lawsuit, to re-do the concrete because it is unacceptably sloped, but he refuses too. Additionally, they are extremely dishonest. His partner, Dylan Freeze, convinced me to make a significant payment on the patio before it was finished. He stated I needed to pay him and that they would be finishing the patio either later in the day or the next day, and were going to leave all their equipment at my house overnight so "I knew they were coming back." So unfortunately I paid him without fully inspecting the product, and assuming he would return. When I got home later that night, the equipment he stated he was going to leave at my house was gone and low and behold, they did not return the next day to finish the project. My yard remained a mess, covered in dirt and their trash which their workers threw all over my yard, for almost two weeks. This entire experience was horrible. We do not feel we received an adequate product, they were difficult to work with and flat out lied during some times. It got to the point where we began recording and documenting all of our interactions with them for a possible lawsuit. The company recently took down their Facebook page, I'm assuming because of all the negative reviews, and their Google reviews are filled with negative, 1-star reviews of unhappy customers who have similar experiences to ours, including Dylan pressuring them into paying and saying he would be returning to finish the job. This company should not be on Angie's List as they are not doing quality work and their customers are being misled. Customers should not be directed to this company by Angie's List and consumers should avoid this company at all costs.
