+ 0 moreThey've been excellent. They're very good. They install all sorts glass for shower doors and they do some other stuff too but they're really, really, good. They measure them, they produce them (they have a lot of different things you can pick from different types of glass), and then they install them. They have been really good about working around my schedule. They are very neat and very quick. I've seen samples of their work.
Description of Work: They are currently installing three shower doors for me. They have already made the doors and they have come in and they've already measured. They have taken out one of the doors and they measured the existing doors so the replacement doors will fit perfectly. The're just waiting on my schedule to open up to actually come in install the doors. They have already taken out one of the doors. The quote was for taking the three doors out, having somebody come and measure the doors, order the existing doors. The framing is different. I went from a gold frame to a brushed nickle frame and one door was a very large door: 2-sided glass, semi-frameless, and the other two had frames around it. They are shower doors. It was $1300 just for the big one. It was really thick glass, maybe 1/4 inch glass, it's solid glass. The other ones are glass too, but they are a frosted glass. So, they're glass but they're different sizes, they're totally different. Like two of the shower doors are more like the standard doors that you'll see and the other is more for like and upper-scale bathroom.

+ -1 moreVery professional. Came out for estimate quickly. Production time was about 2 weeks. The mirror is great... they even had to cut in a "whole" for an outlet and then finished it off by a mirrored cover. Installation was quick and they left bathroom in tip top shape.

My original request was to replace a brass framed shower door with a frameless door, but when the estimator came out he noticed some issues with the shower base and existing tile. He could have easily just sold me the door, but instead pointed out areas of concern that I choose to address as part of a larger remodel. Given the need to replace the tile and base, my project with Solon Glass was "on hold" for a few months but they were still great and quoted the same price when we were ready to move forward with the new door. The installers were very professional and friendly. Solon Glass also provided helpful care and cleaning instructions for the new enclosure. We are thrilled with the end result and appreciated the professionalism of multiple people at Solon Glass.

I found it unprofessional that when I called, I was blown off. I also was not called 2-3 days prior to our expected appointment to be told when to expect them. When I called the day before, I was told it was my fault that no one had called, which I still don't understand.

+ -1 moreWe did 3 quotes for replacing the sashes in 2 double hung windows that had cracks in them. Solon Glass had the best price. They came by, did the measurements and the replacement panes were ordered. When the panes were ready, an appointment was setup. They arrived on time, and began work. In less then 45 minutes, both sashes were replaced. There was very little cleanup needed, which they took care of. We are happy with the price and service.
Description of Work: We had 2 sashes replaced in 2 different double hung windows that had developed cracks in them.

Installed beautifully and detailed instructions on keeping the glass enclosure looking new for years to come. Would not hesitate to use them again.

+ 0 moreI called the store to schedule an appointment for someone to come to my home and measure a shower opening so I could get an estimate on glass doors. They arrived prompt at the scheduled time, and were very courteous. The estimate given for the job was reasonable and met my expectations. Again they arrived prompt to install the doors and did the work professionally and in a timely manner. When I called them in June of 2014 because a hinge on the door was not working correctly, they scheduled a technician to come out 2 days later to access the problem. The hinge was broke and they ordered a replacement. A week later they called to schedule installation of the new hinge. The technicians arrived promptly on the scheduled date and replaced both hinges on the door at no charge to me. I received great customer service and a quality product from Solon Glass Center.

+ -1 moreThey did a great job. It had to be customized from the size perspective because the shower was not a standard size when we were done. They actually came out and had to do all the measuring ahead of time to customize it. Then, when they did the installation in just a matter of couple of days, they had all the glass cut and ready, and they came and installed over a couple of hours. They just did a really nice job. It was exactly what we were looking for.
