Very well. Our technician was fast , neat, careful ,friendly and professional. Exactly what I needed in an emergency situation.

Good. Jonathon, the service technician, was respectful, professional and knowledgeable.

He says I have to call my supervisor. He walks outside and calls, and comes back in and says it's going to cost me $3000. I looked at him and said absolutely not. The guy was slow, complained, and I guess he thought he really had me and he didn't. I lived long enough, I'm old enough and wise enough to know I'm being taken.

The service was fine but I can't believe that they get away with charging $300 for less than an hours work. How is this fair business practice??

Tech out within 2 hours quicker than promised. Called ahead. Snaked and all good within an hour. Suggested workaround to 30 year old problem with drain setup. Super Pleased

PLEASE READ BEFORE USING ROTO ROOTER WATER RESTORATION – UNETHICAL PREDATORY PRACTICES I encourage everyone to voice record every conversation with this company. Please remember that Ohio is a single consent state. You are the only one who needs to approve recording the conversation and there are many free apps available. If contractors are wondering why homeowners want everything in writing and are hesitant about trust. Roto Rooter, specially Albert Adkins and Nate Dieckman are to blame. You can reach out to both of Facebook and LinkedIn and thank them for making your life miserable. We have great relationships with most contractors but Albert and Nate must have missed a course in basic ethics. My experience is directly related to the Cleveland extension of their water restoration department (Albert Adkins – Manager). However, I was told that my concern was run through “corporate” so I intend to post my concerns around the country. I let them know I planned to file my concerns with the BBB, Ohio Attorney General, Angie’s List, Google, and Home Advisor. Albert claimed that he would stop to review our concerns with the work and practices on two different days. He never showed. Instead, we were sent to Accounts Receivable and accused of insurance fraud. I’ll be honest, paying $8,500 for a $4,000 quote resulting in the growth of black mold and being told you are over reacting is a little hard to swallow. We had a sewage line back up that spilled into our basement. Roto Rooter did a fine job identifying the problem and fixing our line. My comments and concerns relate to their water restoration group. A day after they identified the problem we were contacted by Nate Dieckman (Press record now). Nate reviewed the damage and verbally quoted us $2,000 to $4,000 for dry wall removal, carpeting removal, and general waste cleanup. We received a written estimate of $4,000 to $6,000 the day later. The result, Roto Rooter did less than agreed (no drywall removal), charged $8,500 and we had black mold in the basement. They eventually came back out and blamed our sump pump for the sudden mold problem… A month later we were billed $8,500 when the amount exceeded our insurance maximum. Keep in mind that the $8,500 is only related to water restoration and does not cover replacement of anything in our finished basement. Roto Rooter threatened legal action with a 10-day letter with another individual’s name in the to line (not very professional). When I reached out to Albert to discuss the letter, he replied 8 days later and stated, via e-mail, “I take time off from time to time.” Be prepared for your questions and concerns to go unaddressed. We ended up paying the whole amount minus a $225 inconvenience fee. My wife and I took off two days’ worth of work to meet with Albert who stated that he would stop by to review the work and our concerns. He never showed. More Details in case you care: Nate Dieckman of Roto Rooter (encourage to record any conversation with him) stopped by the following morning and asked about opening an insurance claim. I let him know that our maximum was not very high but he assured me that “everything would be covered.” We filled out a written contract with Roto Rooter estimating the work between $4,000 to $6,000. Nate claimed that the range was simply to make “approvals easier” and that it would likely be a lot less. They could not provide an itemized list as they run everything through a program called Xactimate. Please note that their written estimate is “not” a contract. Their estimate can be a $100,000 off of what they plug into the program. In short, they will greatly low ball any estimate and bill out as much as possible through Xactimate claiming their hands are tied. It is true that contractors working on insurance claims may be required to use Xactimate. However, most contractors understand basic math and give realistic estimates based on Xactimate pricing. Roto Rooter will lure you in with a low ball estimate and then run everything through Xactimate coming back 200% or 400% higher than the original estimate. Our written estimate was $4,000 to $6,000 and included drywall removal. They billed our insurance company $8,500 and did not remove the drywall despite my insistence. Since the drywall was not removed, we had black mold and could not live in our house despite their work and overcharge. Albert stated over a few days that he would come out and inspect the work. He never showed. My wife and I missed four days’ worth of work waiting for him. $225 assumes we make less than minimum wage and is an insulting gesture throughout the whole ordeal. Oh, I don’t want a posted response by Roto Rooter asking us to call or apologizing for the inconvenience now that this is public. Albert claimed he talked to “everybody in corporate” and his hands are tied. You don’t get to save face that easily. Feel free to reach out to Albert if you need additional information. I’m sure he can provide it and the pictures of the mold in our house. Then again, he might still be on vacation…

Excellent. Marco was extremely professional and explained the problem and the solution. Great rep for the company ( Avon Ohio) Shower head was leaking and worried would have to break open the tile, leading to the pipe.

I called Roto-Rooter late Friday afternoon on 5/20/16 to set up a Saturday appointment. First off, due to the short notice I did not think they would be able to get me in the next day. Not only did they set up an appointment, but they had a technician come out within 2 hours of my phone call! Now I had called another plumbing company and they were going to add $85 to just come to my home on a Saturday and this was not an emergency appt. this plumber just charged $85 for even coming out on the weekend. After making the appointment I received an email confirmation immediately after and about 30 minutes after that the dispatcher called to tell me the technician was on the way. The technician, Brendan, arrived on time and assessed the problem. I had a toilet with a low flow and a possible sewer line issue. The basement drain was dry and the technician advised that there should be water in it. I am a new homeowner and was not aware the drain should have water in it which prevents the sewer gases from creeping into the basement. He ran a test and came back this morning to see if the gases from the sewer could still be smelled. They could not. If there had been a smell he was prepared to run more tests on the basement sewer drain. He also checked all my water pipes, toilets, water heater, kitchen sink and gave free estimates on a myriad of requests I had for him. On one of my toilets the water shut off valve was flush to the floor preventing me from turning it. The technician clamped a water pipe in the basement, which raised up the valve near the toilet now allowing the valve to be shut off if needed. The cost to attach brackets to secure to the pipe was $74.00 labor $14.40 parts total $88.40. Overall, he ended up clamping a water pipe for me which took no time at all. After this experience I plan to use Roto-Rooter for all of my plumbing needs!

I was given a window of 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM for the work to be performed. I was called that morning at 7:30 AM, and told that the servicemen were on their way. Mike and Rick showed up at 7:45 AM, asked some questions, scoped out the job, and got to work immediately. They were done in about an hour. they were very professional, walked me through what they did, and did a thourough job of explaining what they found. In my experience, when you are given a window for a service, it is mostly at the end than the beginning. It was refreshing to get the work performed at the beginning. Thanks, guys!

Adam 444 was fantastic. I had a small issue with a bathroom tub leak, and I also needed a new hot water tank. These are the kind of employees many businesses need. Professionalism, respect, and honesty. I could have shopped around and asked for hot water tank install quotes from several other companies, but Adam's attitude compared to other companies I've dealt with, sealed the deal.

Larry was excellent! He arrived when we were told he would, and walked us through the problem before quoting us straight from a binder of listed prices. He didn't have the part he needed, so he quickly went to Home Depot and was back in less than half an hour. The price was excellent (with an Angie's List coupon!) and the service was done professionally and in a timely manner. Highly recommended!

Shane(2401) and Dan (180) were friendly, professional and effective. They were at my house within 45 minutes of my call. They cleared my drain, replace a pipe and got everything back in order in a little over an hour. I am very pleased with RotoRooter and will not hesitate to call them again if needed.

Initially I only wanted them to remove the new Moen cartridge I had installed because the faucet was leaking. They removed it but there were parts stuck inside so they had to replace the faucet. This took more time of course but they worked as efficiently as they could given that they had to purchase a new faucet.

Arrived promptly, Matt 123, and Aaron 1012 were very friendly and professional . They had told me that it should simply need to be augered but also warned that they might have to pull the toilet. They worked the ag,uger three to four times and it wouldn't unclog. Matt tried one more time with a plunger and it cleared. I appreciate the extra effort.

Scotty came on time, was very professional, new his job. I explain about the drain in the kitchen (water going out very slow, and garbage disposal). He check the garbage disposal first, and explain what the problems was and how it could be resolved. After explaining the problems with the garbage disposal, Scotty check the drain in the kitchen. I explain to him what I had been doing to get the water to go out (out water). He cable out the sludge and food bulid-up, after finishing the job he clean-up after himself. He explain to me about the kitchen drain and how to keep (no hot water was over 125f) it open. Scotty is not only a professioal but also a very nice man, who know what he is doing. The work was good on the sewer line but they damaged my fence and I have a pill of dirt I have to get removed.

Roto Rooter was very good. I called at 9:30 am on Saturday morning, ad a very friendly women answered the phone very quickly. She took my information and advised me someone would be at my home before 2:00 pm. Mike showed up within 30 mins and had completed the job within an hour. I am very happy with the service.

He did a nice job - drains flowing well now. They responded right away.

Both times I?ve called they?ve been out the same day. The dispatcher always gives me a time when they?ll be there. The plumbers are always punctual. I wouldn?t hesitate to use them again. Any plumbing issue I associate with Roto-Rooter for a solution. They also carry a book with them and they can quote you the job before the work begins. That way there are no surprises at the end.

He had to go 18 feet but he got it unclogged. He was very professional and I would highly recommend them.

They showed up late, so they gave the service for free. However, I respect their honesty and professionalism. They did a great job on the service and I would recommend them.

we noticed a backed-up drain in the basement on a Sunday evening. Called Roto Rooter and within the hour someone was at the house snaking the drain. They were professional and prompt and got the job done. Not cheap but better than a flooded basement.
