Move for Less LLC

The transition went smoothly! I wish I could remember the guys names. The leader I believe was Dominique. They arrived a few minutes before the scheduled time. Wrapped all our items up and handle them as if that our things were theirs or a family members! Renee the receptionist was great as well by going over all the details of the move beforehand. I can't say enough about this company. They deserve the highest rating you can give a company.

I moved all the boxes and smaller items myself and hired Move4Less for my larger pieces of furniture (about 12 items). The 3-man crew was on time, efficient, and hard working. They took the time to wrap all the furniture in padding and plastic and nothing was damaged. They had to maneuver my 58" TV, TV stand, and reclining sofa around some tight corners and got everything done in 2 hours.

The setting up of the service was smooth and office staff was pleasant and very accommodating. The movers arrived on time and they were very careful. All furniture was wrapped in pads and moved carefully. They did underestimate the size of truck and needed to make an extra trip, but they were very accommodating about it and did not charge me for the extra time. The movers were pleasant and worked consistently.

It was a pleasure to have them work with me. A great team, lead by Robert. The crew showed up on time, were all out going, professional, respectful and worked together cohesively. Highly recommend this moving crew and will certainly suggest to friends!

It was a short move less than 5 miles. It went well and our driver and helper were helpful and professional. They cleaned up the packing debis and placed the heavier objects for us before they left.

It was basically a standard move, with one big wrinkle. There was a BIG table - and it didn't fit up the stairs to the dining room. The movers were creative - and got the table in - by brute force - but lifting it end over end up to the balcony. They did a fabulous job.

Working with move for less last night was great! Our team of three worked efficiently to get everything done within our timeframe. We had a tough move down two flights of stairs and the team worked really hard. We highly recommend!

The mover's were very professional, efficient, timely, and had an welcoming demeanor. The only issue was the service plan that I bought was for two movers for 2 hours each for a total of 4 hours. When the movers arrived I was told that it was 2 hours only. However, I simply printed out my purchase invoice and the matter was resolved. I received 4 hours for the reasonable price of $198.00.

This was a big deal purchase and it was fine. I had no problems and I had used it a year before that for the same thing. I had reminded them to bring something out and it was forgotten, but then I can understand -- we were rushing. They were good. They did not have any problems and just did their job. If I had to do it I would do it again with them.

LOADING 1) I left the fitted sheet and mattress pad on, but was expecting a full polypropylene cover for purchase. It was not mentioned; the mattress went on the truck "as is" before I could follow-up. 2) Wrapping everything in plastic added about 90 minutes of time above the AL deal — with no clear benefit. NO blankets were visible in the house or outside while loading. UNLOADING 1) One of the crew noticed a large slice out of the foot of my tall dresser; he said no matching piece was seen while loading. I was asked if it was like that; NO. He and I both took pictures. 2) The same crew member encouraged me to take my time after unloading day because sometimes you "find things later". This apparently was untrue, as I was rudely denied any coverage for three other claim items despite having purchased $10k of real value insurance. 3) Days later I discovered the fitted corner of the sheet had been torn in several places. 4) A signed copy of the bill of lading was not provided. Later I requested a copy, but that request was IGNORED. CLAIMS PROCESS 1) A claim form wasn't included; the request took 4 days to fulfill by email. 2) The form had tiny columns and rows; it was very difficult to describe the issues decently. 3) I sent proofs of purchase for three of four items and provided pictures of the damage. 4) The customer has three months from the move date to file a claim. 5) Close to that time, I called Move4Less and asked a few questions. I was rudely accused of waiting to file because perhaps I had "invented" more "damages" to claim. 6) Filing within deadline, a week later I emailed to ask the timeline was for processing a claim. The answer by email: "There is no timeline." 7) All but the furniture leg repair were summarily DENIED. The email said that the company would NOT pay; only repair or replace with a "comparable" item. The chest is part of a 3-piece BR set 18 years old. How do you match that? 8) The following reasons were given for the denials despite the 3-month window and being told by a Move4Less employee that inspection did NOT have to be final at the end of the unloading: —"With the exception of the damage noted the item was intact at the completion of the move. " —"The customer signed off that she checked for damages and did not mention any damage to the coffee table the day of the move. " —"It is the customer's responsibility to remove all linen from their mattress. When linen is left on the mattress it is the presumption that the customer is using the linen as a mattress protector in lieu of purchasing an actual mattress protector." 9) I'm being pushed to settle "immediately". This firm needs to find a person in a customer-facing role with good people skills rather than someone who insults the customer and makes insinuations about dishonesty. I'm grateful to Angie's List for the service they provide for Gold Members who purchased services through the List.

They were professional,punctual and helpful. One of the movers noticed one of the legs on my jewelry box was wobbly. The guy tightened the leg on the jewelry box for me. I appreciate the attention to details and the care they took in wrapping my furniture. The job was completed in the agreed upon time and i would refer and hire them again .

Went very well! My first contact was by email and phone, and Move for Less answered all of my questions by phone and email. I sought three estimates. Once I calculate to make them comparable, believing the move would take a little longer than most quoted, Move for Less was the lowest bid. (Note: some companies start the clock from their site, but Move for Less begins/ends clock at your place.) The person I was working with on the phone said she would do whatever it took to make sure it happened that morning, and said she'd come on site if need be (not needed, not sure if she actually would have!). She also gave me some great packing advice, even some I didn't ask about. The two movers called before arriving that morning, and they were GREAT. I was organized with packing and labeling, and they gave me feedback and advice for any remaining questions about packing and labeling. They were friendly but professional, answered questions, and kept moving the whole time. They were very careful with belongings, including disassembling and reassembling. The took the most direct route there and didn't dawdle. Unloading took a bit longer than expected but they never slowed down. They paid attention to the labels and signs I'd made to direct placement of furniture so I didn't have to move things around later. They were also just good guys, and I enjoyed working with them. After we celebrated the last item, they applied the Angie's discount and I was able to pay by credit card on the spot. Moving is always stressful, but Move for Less made the day very smooth and easy.

I bought their "big deal" from Angie's List. It was 3 men for 3 hours for $337. I booked for a Saturday with no problems. I have a very high standard... and I was impressed! The customer service from Ms. Renee was outstanding. She listened to my concerns and my needs. She was so professional. She put me at ease by answering all my questions and followed up with emails for confirmation. On moving day, Rob called me to tell me he was on his way. The crew showed up exactly on time. All three were very professional. It was a rainy day, so they wrapped everything in moving blankets and plastic wrap. They covered all the floors with blankets to protect them. The total move went very smoothly. It only took a little over four hours. I will definitely use them again.

I am very pleased! They were great! We were really in a jam and did not have any trucks to move and were really on a time schedule. They moved us so fast that my wife & I could not believe it! They were perfect!

The team was very polite, efficient and organized. They were able to accomplish the work very quickly. They knew we had just had our floors refinished and were very cautious about that. However, there were a few scratches we noticed after they had gone.

Move4Less team was very effective. Took just over 3 hours. Relevant items were protective wrapped for no extra charge. I would hire them again.
